    What’s PSO2: NGS All About?

    Ready up and join thousands of your fellow operatives in exploring the gorgeous new world landscapes of PSO2: NGS. You’ll arrive 1,000 years after the battle of Oracle in PSO2 and unite to help defeat a new and supremely powerful enemy of unexplained origin, known as the DOLLS.

    The fight against the DOLLS has been ongoing for decades, but yet, no one knows where they are coming from, and why they are attacking the people of the peaceful planet of Halpha. The members of ARKS are made up of skilled individuals from Halpha, but there are also those with a different background – the Meteorn. Similar to the DOLLS, no one knows where they come from, or the reason for their arrival in Halpha.

    You’ll encounter vast expanses of a high resolution, open world powered by a new graphics engine. But don’t stop to smell the Halphanian Hibiscus, or you’ll find yourself on the wrong end of a Daityl Sword. These stunning enemies with enhanced character models are beautiful to behold, but deadly serious in their determination to deal destruction. Rejoice with the redesigned battle system giving you control over every jump, dodge and high-altitude glide. Fight together on the battlefield alongside friends from all over the globe. And revel post-battle in the ship’s lobby with teammates, telling the tales of victory.

    This closed beta test will feature content planned for release at the official launch of PSO2:NGS, which will allow players to experience the fundamental game system. We would also like to gather general sentiment and feedback in order to make any needed changes or adjustments, in addition to resolving any problems discovered during testing and before the official service launches.

    Dark Alliance is an action RPG set in the world of Dungeons & Dragons with combat at its core. Our small team at Tuque wants to bring the characters and monsters of D&D to life in a very real, visceral, and fun way.

    A few amazing games have moved the needle in the last few years on the touch and feel of combat. That’s what we hope Dark Alliance does with what we call Emergent Combat. A combat system that is easy to pick up, hard to master.  

    Let’s break down the game design behind the combat in our game (with some brand-new gameplay screenshots).

    Dark Alliance

    Simple Input

    The first thing we knew we wanted was to democratize our combat – make it accessible. Everyone needs to feel cool, taking on the mantle of their favorite hero, hewing their way through hordes of goblins and gnolls. Players start with a simple choice of attack inputs: light attack or fierce attack?

    Complex Output

    We also want to provide depth to players who invest time to really master combat – to embody the persona of that hero. We want to capture the player’s imagination in that moment they realize that they have control of what’s happening. Press forward and light attack to execute a special move. Press X after a successful hit to force a critical. And so on.

    Intuitive Experience

    We want to use the experience itself to help players learn those combos intuitively through our emergent combat system. We also want to avoid players feeling the need pause combat to search through the UI for their combo button inputs. Plus, this is a co-op experience – nobody’s waiting on a friend to figure that out.

    Dark Alliance

    Players get to shine by seeing outcomes of their input combos that always make them feel like they did something cool while also rewarding players who figure out how to execute specific moves when and where they want.

    Emergent Combat

    That’s emergent combat. Each hero starts off with a limited move set that grows as they level up their character. And through that experience, using different light or fierce attacks with different toggles and button presses, will open up different branches to different attack sequences. There are hundreds of branching outcomes to be explored. The only thing that limits your hero is the stamina cost of their move.

    Stamina

    Heroes must manage their stamina. Deplete your stamina and experience a short period of exhaustion before it regenerates. Executing attacks reduces stamina and some of the most powerful attacks will temporarily reduce your maximum stamina. Heroes regain stamina (and maximum stamina) over time, but it can also be replenished by executing parries, or, if you’re in a hurry, a stamina potion will do. Managing stamina is partly where the challenge of combat comes from. It puts players into an “economy mindset,” where they strategically consider the costs of combat.

    Our approach is player-centric – like the benevolent dungeon master who enjoys seeing their players succeed, but who also wants to ensure the challenge keeps things interesting. And once you’ve nailed the emergent combat system, take it up a notch. Dark Alliance has six challenge ratings (our version of skill levels) to provide core players ample room to test their talent against our long list of monsters.

    Combat Language

    We believe that good combat is made up of a language of clear cues, incentives, and rules. Complexity out of simplicity. We provide the tools. It’s up to the players to explore the system and see how deep it goes. The combat in Dark Alliance is a spectacle. Become fluent in our combat language and you get to be the director of that spectacle.

    Are you a fan of murder mysteries and courtroom dramas? Then we’ve got the perfect game collection for you: The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, coming to PlayStation 4 on July 27!

    This collection contains The Great Ace Attorney: Adventures and The Great Ace Attorney 2: Resolve, both being released for the first time outside of Japan as part of this collection. Set at the turn of the 20th century Japan and England, Chronicles introduces a robust cast of quirky and unusual characters, with tons of drama, comedy, and mystery. Get ready to crack some of the wildest legal cases in the world of fictional courtrooms.

    Those familiar with the Ace Attorney games may already know that The Great Ace Attorney isn’t the first in the series, but if you’re new to or curious about it, let’s catch you up a bit and look back towards the series’ history.

    Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – The original blue–suited, spikey-haired lawyer

    The Ace Attorney series dates all the way back to the original release of Gyakuten Saiban (literally “Turnabout Courtroom”) in Japan in 2001 and, much like The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, the games center around courtroom drama, murder mystery, and even some supernatural antics, all presented in an anime art style. The star of the show is Phoenix Wright, the main protagonist of the original trilogy of games. This spikey-haired defense attorney always fights for those who can’t defend themselves. He quickly rises to fame, becoming a veteran defense attorney that manages to turn things around in even the worst situations to secure a “not guilty” verdict!

    There are many characters who support Phoenix on his journey. The plucky spirit medium Maya Faye, his stoic childhood friend and courtroom rival Miles Edgeworth, and the bumbling but kind-hearted Detective Gumshoe, all help – or hinder – Phoenix and company along the way. Throughout various cases and stories, Phoenix and his friends investigate various murder cases while meeting suspicious and unusual characters and grilling witnesses for clues.

    Investigations end up in the courtroom, where you use gathered evidence in heated trials to cross-examine witnesses and present evidence you’ve found. Throughout the cross-examinations, you’ll press for more info and raise objections after you find contradictions in testimonies. You may recognize some of the classic finger pointing from Phoenix and co., or the popular “OBJECTION!” and “HOLD IT!” speech bubbles.

    All of this brings the perfect combination of courtroom action with a “Whodunnit?” style story! Throughout the years, the Ace Attorney series has continued with various sequels and side stories. Let’s take a trip back in time and meet an old, but just as astute, blood relative of Mr. Wright…

    Enter Ryunosuke Naruhodo

    The Great Ace Attorney – New gameplay with familiar mechanics

    Rewind the clock to the turn of the 20th century, and set the stage for The Great Ace Attorney. Introducing Ryunosuke Naruhodo, ancestor of Phoenix Wright, and an up-and-coming defense attorney studying at a legal academy. Much like previous games, Ryunosuke will also investigate criminal cases with his comrades, such as his legal assistant Susato Mikotoba, and overeager detective Herlock Sholmes.

    While retaining the classic investigations and trials gameplay, new features have been added to the mix incorporating more variety to investigations and courtroom battles. For example, the Dance of Deduction gameplay has you working together with Herlock Sholmes, identifying contradictions in the detective’s overeager (and usually incorrect) logical deductions to uncover new facts about the case.

    Summation Examination is a new feature that takes place during courtroom trials. Analyze the arguments of jurors, and correct discrepancies in their thinking with persuasive arguments and evidence, all while proving your client’s innocence.

    Brand new to the Ace Attorney series is the optional “Story Mode” feature. You can toggle this mode on and off during the game, which lets you watch the story unfold as the game automatically advances through investigation and courtroom phases.

    Hey guys! Kaydie from Sega here reminding you that Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio’s mystery thriller, Judgment remastered, hits the PlayStation 5 this Friday, April 23. From the creators of Yakuza, Judgment is a free-roam action brawler that puts you in the shoes of Takayuki Yagami, a street-fighting private eye that defends those that the law fails to protect.

    If you’re coming from Yakuza: Like a Dragon and want more hard-boiled drama full of intrigue and larger-than-life characters packed into a single experience that only Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio can deliver – sleuth no further. Here’s why you’re bound to dig Judgment if you loved Yakuza: Like a Dragon.

    Judgment is a cinematic crime drama

    You’ve seen through the eyes of Ichiban Kasuga how his former clan, the Tojo Clan, runs Kamurocho. Law enforcement turns a blind eye to corruption out of fear or a wad of cash in the pocket. In comes Detective Yagami. Caught up in solving a serial murder case with evidence against a Tojo Clan branch family stacking up, Yagami must hunt down the truth while the forces of Kamurocho try to cover it up – otherwise, no one else will.

    Camaraderie between eccentric characters

    …But he can’t do it alone. If character interactions that oscillate between absurd and sincere in Yakuza gripped you by the heart, you’ll appreciate the brotherhood Yagami forms with those he meets through the investigation. Yagami is capable but still depends on those around him, especially Kaito, his best friend and “brawn” half of the Yagami Detective Agency, when it feels like the entire town is out to get them.

    Freestyle city exploration

    Like in Yakuza, every inch of Kamurocho’s neon-lit streets is yours to roam. Yagami has his own tastes, so there are plenty of restaurants, activities and even games in Club Sega to check out that Ichiban and company didn’t see. (Hot tip: L’Amant has free drinks!) Don’t forget to make the rounds at your Yakuza favorites like Smile Burger and Gindaco for old time’s sake.

    Over-the-top martial arts combat

    Judgment’s action is up there with your favorite martial arts flick and within the vein of Yakuza’s flashy, brutal, veering into absurd combat. While not turn-based like Yakuza: Like a Dragon, you can level up Yagami’s skill trees much like you would job classes.

    If brawlers aren’t your thing, no sweat. There are several difficulties to choose from that let you enjoy the combat at your own pace without missing any of the flashy moves.

    If Dragon Kart was a big hit with you, sign-ups for Kamurocho’s high-speed drone circuit are in the Millennium Tower lobby. When you’re not using Yagami’s drone to collect evidence, take flight in the Drone League Kamurocho and soar through the ranks – but not before souping it up with mods and a fresh dip of paint, of course.

    Hello PlayStation fans! Since launching our free editing app Share Factory Studio for PS5 with the console’s launch, we’ve been hard at work to continue to enhance the on-console editing experience – so players can creatively bring to life and share their epic gameplay moments. We are pleased to announce some new updates we’ve made to Share Factory for PS5, which will be available starting today.

    Latest update for Share Factory Studio on PS5 is available today

    First up is a feature our community has asked for – an increase in the number of clips for your tracks. Below is the new clip count you can expect to see for your Share Factory Studio projects:

    • Track 1 clips increased from 50 to 100
    • Track 1 transitions increased from 49 to 99
    • Music tracks increased from 12 to 24
    • Track 2 clips increased from 10 to 20

    We’ve also improved the overall editing experience – here’s a roundup of updates launching today for Share Factory Studio on PS5:

    • A fresh new look for Track 2 with tapestry now available as well as added support for Layouts and Frames.
    • Support for HDR screenshots.
    • Improved track visualization with Track 1 and Track 2 now featuring icons indicating if your clip is in HD, 4K and/or HDR.
    • Improved Clip and Screenshot Management and integration with the Media Gallery, allowing you to sort your videos and screenshots by Favorites that you have marked.

    These new updates will enhance the current features already available on the Share Factory Studio app for PS5 – for example, you can now create videos up to 4K resolution at 60fps with HDR support. such as 4K/HDR 60fps support for video clips high-quality Creator Packs, music tracks, transitions and stickers, as well as the support of Sound FX.

    It has been seven years since we first introduced SHAREfactory for PS4 in April 2014, and we are so pleased to see the engagement and support from the PlayStation community for this feature. The idea for SHAREfactory came together when we first learned about the video recording feature that was launching on PS4, as well as the industry-first innovative Share button on the DualShock 4 wireless controller.

    Many of our team members have had previous experiences in game development, and a few of us also had experience with video editing and multimedia design. As gamers ourselves, we believed the PlayStation community would have fun creating personalized videos to share with their friends, so we thought it would be pretty neat if we could create a video editing app that players could use right from their PS4. Once the idea was formed, it wasn’t too long after that SHAREfactory was born, and we have been blown away by the creativity and how players were using the app ever since. Since then, we’ve listened to the PlayStation community’s feedback and incorporated ongoing improvements and enhancements to SHAREfactory over the years to make the editing experience a smooth one for gamers.

    In Ultimatum, you’ll meet the Trialmaster, a Vaal emissary of an entity known only as Chaos. The Vaal are Wraeclast’s most ancient civilization, known for their blood sacrifices, lost temples and four-breasted queen, Atziri (yeah, you read that right – she’s a badass though).

    In Ultimatum, you will be tempted by an offering you can earn by completing the Trialmaster’s challenge. If you’re successful, the Trialmaster will present you with an ultimatum – leave now with what you have or risk it all for even greater rewards.     Düsseldorf, 21. April 2021 – Ubisoft® gab heute die Zusammenarbeit mit einer Reihe von renommierten Verlagen, talentierten Autoren und Illustratoren bekannt, um das Assassin’s Creed-Universum auf neue Medienformen auszuweiten. Assassin’s Creed Fans auf der ganzen Welt können auf der neuen Website, die das Verlagsprogramm für 2021 und darüber hinaus beschreibt, mehr über die verschiedenen Geschichten erfahren, die ihrer Lieblingsreihe entspringen.

    Mit der anstehenden Veröffentlichung neuer Romane, Graphic Novels, Manhuas**, Webtoons*** und seit kurzem auch einer Reihe von Podcasts*** wird die Assassin’s Creed-Erzählung über alle Formate hinweg erweitert: Romane, illustrierte Belletristik und digitale Werke. „Mit einer Lizenz, die so vielfältig ist wie Assassin’s Creed, freuen sich viele Schöpfer darauf, ihre Vision der Franchise anzubieten“, erklärt Aymar Azaïzia, Transmedia Director bei Ubisoft Montreal. „Es ist eine großartige kreative Möglichkeit, ein Werk zu veröffentlichen, das für das jeweilige Genre relevant ist und von Autoren oder Illustratoren produziert wird, die auf ihrem Gebiet anerkannt sind.“

    Ubisoft arbeitet derzeit mit einem großen Netzwerk an Publishing-Partnern zusammen, die jeweils ihre eigene Expertise einbringen, um das Assassin’s Creed-Universum weiterzuentwickeln. An der Comic- und Graphic-Novel-Front wird Glenat französische Original-Graphic-Novels veröffentlichen, während Dark Horse Comics eine Assassin’s Creed-Comic-Miniserie auf Englisch herausgebracht und Ulab Original-Manhuas entwickelt hat. Auf der digitalen Seite ist der chinesische Partner Ximalaya dabei, seinen ersten Assassin’s Creed-Erzählpodcast zu starten, während das koreanische Studio Redice den ersten Assassin’s Creed-Webtoon überhaupt produzieren wird.

    Um die breite Palette an bestehenden und kommenden Assassin’s Creed-Transmedia-Angeboten besser einordnen zu können, schafft Ubisoft drei Labels, die Fans bei der Auswahl ihrer nächsten Lektüre helfen sollen:

    • Classics: direkte Adaptionen basierend auf Geschichten aus den Videospielen
    • Chronicles: neue Abenteuer mit beliebten, ikonischen Assassinen

    • ASSASSIN’S CREED® FRAGMENTS TRILOGIE FÜR JUNGE ERWACHSENE (ORIGINALS): Fragments ist eine neue Buchreihe für junge Erwachsene, die in Zusammenarbeit mit dem französischen Verlag Editis entwickelt wurde. In dieser historischen Action-Adventure-Saga geht es um Teenager, die in die jahrhundertealte Fehde zwischen Assassinen und Templern verwickelt sind und die Beziehung zwischen den Geschwistern erkundet. Jedes Buch der Serie wird die Leser mit neuen Protagonisten in eine andere Zeit und an einen anderen Ort führen. Der erste Band spielt im Japan des 19. Jahrhunderts, der zweite im Schottland des 13. Jahrhunderts und der dritte im Frankreich des 17.
    • ASSASSIN’S CREED® DIE JADE-SIEGEL-SAMMLUNG (ORIGINALS): Von der Zhou-Dynastie (4. Jh. v. Chr.) bis zur Ming-Dynastie (17. Jh.) erweitert diese Sammlung das Franchise um zehn Romane, die die chinesische Geschichte im Allgemeinen erkunden. Kaiser, Höflinge, legendäre Kampfkünstler, Dichter, Philosophen und viele andere wichtige Persönlichkeiten der chinesischen Geschichte kommen in diesem Mehrteiler zu Wort. Neue Assassinen, aber auch neue Erzfeinde werden aus diesen epischen Romanen, die von sechs bekannten chinesischen Schriftstellern geschrieben wurden und bald in China erhältlich sein werden, in die Reihen des Franchise aufgenommen.
    • ASSASSIN’S CREED® THE MING STORM (CHRONICLES): Dieser vom chinesischen Bestseller-Autor Yan Leisheng geschriebene Roman ist der Beginn einer actiongeladenen Trilogie, die im China des 16. Jahrhunderts spielt und in der Shao Jun die Hauptrolle übernimmt. Als Protagonistin in Ubisofts Videospiel Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China ist die junge Assassinin bereits ein Fan-Liebling. Cross Cult wird den Roman in Deutschland am 4.10.2021 veröffentlichen.

    The Tropico series, which launched in April 2001, celebrates its 20th anniversary with Xbox Deals with Gold. Tropico 1 through 6 puts the player in the shoes of ‘El Presidente,’ the ruler of Tropico – a fictional island country in the Caribbean from the colonial era to modern times. Without question, it’s the series that put the tongue firmly in the cheek of strategy gaming.

Wir freuen uns, euch einige neue Updates für Share Factory für PS5 vorstellen zu können, die ab heute verfügbar sind.

    Das neueste Update für Share Factory Studio für PS5 ist jetzt verfügbar

    Wir beginnen mit einer Funktion, die sich unsere Community gewünscht hat – eine Erhöhung der Anzahl an Clips für eure Tracks. Im Folgenden findet ihr die neue Anzahl an Clips, die für eure Share Factory Studio-Projekte verfügbar sind:

Beispielsweise Unterstützung für 4K/HDR und 60 Bilder pro Sekunde für Videoclips, hochwertige Creator Packs, Musik-Tracks, Übergänge und Sticker sowie die Unterstützung von Sound FX.

    Hello and welcome to Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground, turn-based strategy on the infinite battlefields of the Mortal Realms. Raise an army from one of three factions – Stormcast Eternals, Nighthaunt or Maggotkin – and go to battle in non-linear, replayable campaigns. Alternatively, make war against your rivals online in fast-paced strategic multiplayer. As you fight, your units will grow along with you, gaining new skills and gear throughout. Today we’re covering how that progression works and what makes storm ground special.

    Every unit is unique, with its own set of skills and attributes requiring its own strategy and tactics. They begin with starting classes that determine their role and some basic equipment, along with the special skills that are unique to them.

    From there, you will earn experience with every battle. Levelling up unlocks new skill slots, which can then be filled with the skill cards you discover, along with weapons, armor, mounts, and more. These skill and gear cards are found on the battlefield in chests, as well as rewarded for victory in battles.

    A basic Stormcast Eternals Liberator unit with hammers and shields can level up and equip a suite of swords or more powerful maces, shields infused with magic power, incredible armor, and a vast library of skills to support your other units. There are dozens upon dozens of variations for each and every unit, and infinite ways to build your army as a coherent whole – make the best of the synergies between your units.

    Your most powerful units are the Heroes, champions of their cause capable of wreaking havoc on the battlefield. They have even wider progression options, completely changing their weapon style, altering their abilities to have new uses, as well as mounting incredible beasts to summon into battle with all-new powers. The legendary Star Drakes of the Stormcast Eternals make for an intimidating way for Lord Celestants to ride to war.

    Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground

    Every map and objective in Storm Ground requires a unique approach. Consider your positioning carefully. Unit adjacency bonuses will affect armor, damage, and health. Hills, hazards, and other units all affect the outcome of combat. If you step up to attack a squad while standing next to a hazard, you might find yourself knocked into that on the next turn. It can be worth giving up a potential attack if it means protecting your hero from death. You’ll want to upgrade units for specific tasks, whether it’s securing ground, attacking enemies, or defending their allies.

    Of course, wargear isn’t the only thing to be found on the battlefields of the Mortal Realms. Lore caches provide context for the ongoing conflict and the locations it happens in, as well as introducing you to characters and concepts from the universe. Collecting all of these, much like the cosmetic rewards that come from finishing campaigns and various accomplishments let you dive deeper into your faction’s identity.

    Hallo Leute! Hier ist Kaydie von SEGA und ich möchte euch daran erinnern, dass an diesen Freitag, dem 23. April, das Mystery-Thriller Judgment remastered des Studios Ryu Ga Gotoku für PlayStation 5 erscheint. Judgment ist ein Open-World-Actionspiel von den Machern von Yakuza, in dem ihr in die Rolle von Takayuki Yagami schlüpft, einem knallharten Privatdetektiv, der diejenigen verteidigt, die das Gesetz nicht beschützt – wenn es sein muss, auch als Straßenkämpfer!

    Wenn ihr Yakuza: Like a Dragon mochtet und eine weitere Dosis knallharten Dramas voller Intrigen und legendärer Charaktere braucht, dann hat eure Suche hier ein Ende: Studio Ryu Ga Gotoku hat genau das, was ihr wolltet. Darum werdet ihr Judgment lieben, wenn ihr Yakuza: Like a Dragon mochtet.

    Judgment ist ein kinoreifes Crime-Drama

    Durch die Augen von Ichiban Kasuga habt ihr erlebt, wie sein ehemaliger Clan, der Tojo-Clan, Kamurocho beherrscht. Gesetzeshüter ignorieren die Korruption – entweder aus Angst, oder weil sie geschmiert sind. Und hier kommt Detektiv Yagami! Bei der Aufklärung eines Serienmordes, in dem sich die Beweislage gegen eine Familie des Tojo-Clans verdichtet, muss Yagami der Wahrheit auf die Spur kommen, während die Mächte von Kamurocho versuchen, den Fall zu verschleiern. Aber wenn Yagami es nicht schafft, wird es kein anderer tun.

    Ein Bündnis von exzentrischen Charakteren

    Aber auf sich allein gestellt, wird er es nicht schaffen. Wenn euch die zwischen absurd und ernsthaft wechselnden Interaktionen der Charaktere in Yakuza ans Herz gewachsen sind, dann werdet ihr die Bündnisse zu schätzen wissen, die Yagami mit all denen eingeht, die er bei seinen Ermittlungen trifft. Yagami ist zwar kompetent, aber trotzdem auf die Menschen um ihn herum angewiesen. Dies gilt vor allem für Kaito, seinen besten Freund und die „schlagkräftige“ Hälfte der Yagami Detective Agency, die dann gebraucht wird, wenn es sich so anfühlt, als wäre die ganze Stadt hinter ihnen her.

    Genau wie in Yakuza steht euch jede Ecke in den neonbeleuchteten Straßen Kamurochos offen. Yagami hat seine eigenen Vorlieben, und deshalb gibt es auch viele Restaurants, Aktivitäten und sogar Spiele im Club SEGA, die Ichiban und Konsorten noch nicht entdeckt haben. (Heißer Tipp: Im L‘Amant gibt es Freigetränke!) Und vergesst nicht, eure beliebtesten Yakuza-Schauplätze zu besuchen, wie etwa Smile Burger und Gindaco – um der alten Zeiten willen.

    Nervenaufreibende Martial-Arts-Kämpfe

    Wenn es um Action geht, steht Judgment auf einer Stufe mit euren beliebtesten Martial-Arts-Filmen und steht voll in der Tradition von Yakuzas grellen, gnadenlosen, mitunter sogar absurden Kämpfen. Zwar ist das Spiel nicht wie Yakuza: Like a Dragon rundenbasiert, aber ihr könnt trotzdem Yagamis Fertigkeitsbäume aufstufen, ähnlich wie ihr es bei Berufsklassen tun würdet.

    Aber wenn ihr nicht auf Prügel aus seid, auch kein Problem. Euch stehen mehrere Schwierigkeitsgrade offen, zwischen denen ihr wählen und somit die Kämpfe nach euren Fähigkeiten führen könnt, ohne auf die abgefahrenen Moves der Kämpfe verzichten zu müssen.

    Wenn Dragon Kart euch begeistert hat, dann könnt ihr euch in der Lobby des Millennium Towers für die temporeichen Drohnenrennen in Kamurocho anmelden. Und wenn ihr nicht gerade mit Yagamis Drohne Beweismaterial sammelt, könnt ihr in der Drone League Kamurocho („Drohnenliga von Kamurocho“) die Ränge erobern – allerdings nicht, ohne sie vorher mit Mods und einer neuen Lackierung zu tunen, versteht sich.

    Snake is a classic game — more a genre of games — that dates all the way back to 1976 with the release of the Blockade arcade game. Many consoles and devices have received variations of Snake, putting it in the same league as Tetris and block breakers. Now Ty and Gig Builds have used an Arduino to construct a giant coffee table version of the game.

    One of the reasons that so many variations of Snake exist is because it runs well on very low-resolution screens. That also made it perfect for this project, since an LED matrix makes for a great low-res display. Ty and Gig originally built that matrix for an interactive coffee table project and they were able to repurpose it for this game.

    WS2811 individually-addressable RGB LEDs form that matrix. They shine through holes drilled into a sheet of plywood mounted underneath the coffee table glass. An Arduino Mega controls those LEDs, but any Arduino board would work for the job. The only other hardware components are a 5V power supply and an analog joystick module.

    The joystick is comprised of two potentiometers, so the Arduino simply checks those to determine which direction to move. Programming was a small challenge, because the 1D array of LEDs had to be translated to the 2D display. With that figured out, programming the game was straightforward. Players direct the LED snake to collect as many apples as possible without colliding with itself, like they have done for the past four decades.

    Die Ace Attorney-Reihe geht zurück bis auf die Erstveröffentlichung von Gyakuten Saiban (wortwörtlich „Kehrtwende im Gericht“) in Japan im Jahr 2001 und wie auch bei The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles, dreht sich in den Spielen alles um die Dramen, die sich im Gerichtssaal abspielen, sowie um mysteriöse Mordfälle und manchmal ist sogar eine Prise Übernatürliches dabei – alles hübsch präsentiert im schicken Anime-Grafikstil. Der Star der Show, der Hauptprotagonist der Originaltrilogie, heißt Phoenix Wright. Der Verteidiger mit den spitzen Haaren kämpft stets für jene, die sich nicht selbst verteidigen können. Er gelangt schon bald zu gewissem Ruhm und entwickelt sich zu einem echten Veteranen im Gerichtssaal, der selbst bei den aussichtslosesten Fällen noch ein „nicht schuldig“ erreicht.

    Auf seinem Weg wird Phoenix von vielen Begleitern tatkräftig unterstützt. Das mutige, mit Geistern kommunizierende Medium Maya Faye, sein stoischer Kindheitsfreund und Rivale im Gerichtssaal, Miles Edgeworth, und der etwas tollpatschige, aber liebenswerte Detective Gumshoe, der das Herz am rechten Fleck trägt, helfen Phoenix und seinen Freunden im Verlauf der Abenteuer – oder stellen sich ihnen in den Weg. Über mehrere Fälle und Geschichten hinweg nehmen Phoenix und seine Freunde verschiedene Mordfälle unter die Lupe, treffen dabei auf verdächtige und ungewöhnliche Gestalten und quetschen Zeugen aus, um an Hinweise zu gelangen.

    Nach einer Untersuchung landet der Fall vor Gericht, wo ihr mit den gesammelten Beweisen in hitzigen Verhandlungen Zeugen im Kreuzverhör vernehmt und eure Verteidigung untermauert. Bei den Kreuzverhören setzt ihr die Zeugen unter Druck, um mehr Infos aus ihnen rauszupressen, und erhebt Einspruch, wenn ihr Widersprüche in den Zeugenaussagen erkennt. Vielleicht sind euch die klassischen Bilder, auf denen Phoenix und Kollegen beschuldigend mit dem Finger auf jemanden zeigen, oder die beliebten Sprechblasen „EINSPRUCH“ und „MOMENT!“ ja ein Begriff.

    All diese Zutaten ergeben einen spannenden Gerichtsthriller, bei dem bis zum Schluss oft nicht klar ist, wer nun eigentlich der wahre Täter ist. Die Ace Attorney-Reihe hat über die Jahre einige Nachfolger und Spin-offs spendiert bekommen. Also reisen wir mal ein wenig in der Zeit zurück, um einen älteren, aber doch genauso scharfsinnigen Blutsverwandten von Mr. Wright kennenzulernen …

    The Great Ace Attorney – Neues Gameplay mit bekannter Spielmechanik

    Wir drehen die Uhr zurück auf den Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts und bereiten die Bühne vor für The Great Ace Attorney. Ryunosuke Naruhodo, Vorfahre von Phoenix Wright und ein aufstrebender Verteidiger, der gerade sein Studium an einer Rechtsakademie abschließt, übernimmt dieses Mal die Hauptrolle. Ähnlich wie in den Vorgängerspielen widmet sich auch Ryunosuke gemeinsam mit seinen Freunden, wie der Rechtsanwaltsgehilfin Susato Mikotoba und dem übereifrigen Kommissar Herlock Sholmes, der Untersuchung von Kriminalfällen.

    Zwar bleiben die klassischen Ermittlungen und Gerichtsverfahren größtenteils erhalten, sie wurden aber um neue Features erweitert, die für mehr Abwechslung sorgen. Bei der Spielmechanik „Tanz der Verführung“ beispielsweise arbeitet ihr zusammen mit Herlock Sholmes, um die Widersprüche in seinen übereifrigen (und meist falschen) Schlussfolgerungen zu finden und neue Fakten über den Fall zu Tage zu fördern.

    „Schlussplädoyer“ ist ein weiteres neues Feature, das im Gerichtssaal zum Einsatz kommt. Zerlegt die Argumente der Geschworenen und liefert überzeugende Argumente und Beweise, um falsche Rückschlüsse richtigzustellen und die Unschuld eures Mandanten zu beweisen.

    Beim „Schlussplädoyer“ messt ihr euch direkt mit der Jury!

    Brandneu in der Ace Attorney-Reihe ist auch das optionale „Story-Modus“-Feature. Diesen Modus könnt ihr während des Spielens ein- oder ausschalten, wenn ihr nur der Story folgen wollt. Die Ermittlungen und Verhandlungen laufen dabei automatisch ab.

    Vorab einige wichtige Infos für Anfänger: Genshin Impact ist ein Open-World-Action-Rollenspiel, das in der frei begehbaren Fantasiewelt von Teyvat spielt. Im Spiel übernehmt ihr als Spieler die Rolle eines „Reisenden“ aus einer anderen Welt, der seinen Blutverwandeten verloren hat. Um eure Familie wieder zusammenzuführen, begebt ihr euch auf ein Abenteuer durch Teyvat und deckt dabei allmählich die Geheimnisse sowie das Schicksal dieser zauberhaften Welt auf.

    Die Hardware der PlayStation®5 bietet Entwicklern eine ideale Plattform, die Welt von Teyvat noch detaillierter, lebendiger und umfassender zu gestalten. Aus diesem Grund wollten wir Spielern die PlayStation®5-Version so schnell wie möglich bereitstellen, sodass ihr Genshin Impact möglichst zeitig in vollem Umfang erleben könnt. Wir haben viele neue Funktionen entwickelt, um die Vorteile der Konsole der nächsten Generation bei der Spielentwickelung langfristig voll auszunutzen: Wir haben eine Grafikbibliothek von Grund auf neu entwickelt. Außerdem haben wir ein spezielles Dateiladesystem gebaut, um die leistungsstarke SSD der PlayStation®5 voll und ganz zur Geltung zu bringen. Also bleibt gespannt für viele weitere tolle Neuigkeiten!

    Mit Genshin Impact wollen wir euch in eine visuell beeindruckende und kulturell vielfältige Welt bringen. Die brandneue Grafikbibliothek erlaubt es uns, noch mehr Details in die Spielwelt zu packen. Wenn ihr euch eure Umgebung genau anseht, merkt ihr bestimmt sofort, dass in jedem Detail der hochauflösenden Textur eine einzigartige Geschichte steckt. Wenn ihr in die Ferne blickt, entfalten sich die umfangreichen und atemberaubenden Landschaften dank dem verbesserten Detaillierungsgrad vollständig bis zum Horizont vor euren Augen. Und eine noch bessere Nachricht: Die PlayStation®5 ermöglicht es euch, all diese Details in einer messerscharfen 4K-Auflösung zu erleben. Wenn ihr zufällig einen HDR-Monitor besitzt, könnt ihr mit unserer HDR-Anzeige-Funktion einen Blick auf eine noch lebendigere Spielwelt genießen.

    Genshin Impact bietet riesige und abwechslungsreiche Landschaften. Wenn ihr zwischen der offenen Welt und den Sphären reist, wird das schnellere Laden eure Abenteuer viel flüssiger machen. Mit der SSD der PlayStation®5 und unserem speziellen Dateiladesystem dauert das Teleportieren von einem Ort zum anderen jetzt wenige Sekunden. Ihr könnt quasi blitzschnell in eine neue Sphäre eintreten und sofort euren Kampf beginnen!

    Aber um das Erlebnis der nächsten Generation zu verwirklichen, ist uns klar, dass der DualSense-Controller ein entscheidender Faktor sein wird, indem er zeigt, wie die Spielwelt auf deine Aktionen darin reagiert. Der DualSense-Controller verwendet ganz andere Technik und um sein Potenzial auszuloten, sind wir noch dabei, die Unterstützung von Gamepads von Grund auf neu zu gestalten. So könnt ihr z. B. das Vibrieren eures Controllers vielleicht etwas anders spüren als in der abwärtskompatiblen Version. Und wir können es kaum erwarten, in Zukunft weitere Features und Funktionen zu integrieren, die euch ermöglichen können, besser in die Welt von Teyvat einzutauchen.

    Wir haben außerdem eine exklusive Version des Qingyun-Gipfels ausschließlich für PlayStation®5-Spieler vorbereitet! Dieser Berggipfel ist sowohl bei unseren Spielern als auch bei unserem Team einer der beliebtesten Orte im Spiel. Deshalb haben wir an diesem Ort einige besondere Umgestaltungen vorgenommen. Wir hoffen, dass euch die Überraschung gefällt!

    Die Bereitstellung der PlayStation®5-Version ist nur ein Anfang des brandneuen Spielerlebnisses auf der Konsole, das wir euch anbieten. Home Theater Fanatics has built something using the same RoPieee software, but with the added feature of a screen, for those who need one.

    The build cost for this is a little higher than the $150 estimate to recreate yesterday’s project, given the inclusion of a fancier Digital Audio Decoder and the touchscreen itself.
