    Hello everyone. I’m Donya, Community Manager at Unknown Worlds. We were delighted to be included in PlayStation’s State of Play and showcase some of the incredible work that the team has been doing on Subnautica: Below Zero to get it ready to launch on PS4 and PS5 on May 14.

    All-new Subnautica: Below Zero gameplay revealed in State of Play

    The sequel to the award-winning Subnautica, Below Zero plunges even the bravest of explorers into an underwater world, filled with all-new and vast biomes to explore, and mysterious and unfamiliar creatures lurking in the depths of the planet. As you continue to investigate the mysterious circumstances that brought you planetside, you’ll be challenged to survive in the harsh, arctic conditions, as well as avoid the looming threat of discovery by Alterra, who have all but abandoned 4546B in their haste to evacuate.

    With all of the new tools and vehicles to craft, and lovingly crafted biomes to marvel at, Below Zero provides a unique spin on the familiar setting of Subnautica’s unforgiving planet. Players can look forward to added cold mechanics to explore, creatures great and small to discover — and, in some cases, avoid — and far, far more about the lore of the Subnautica universe to uncover.

    As announced during State of Play, we’ve been hard at work utilizing the PS5 DualSense controller for Below Zero. With the haptic feedback system, you’ll receive visual and audio cues linked to key game moments, or when you’re using tools and vehicles. We’re excited for you to try Below Zero with this additional integration, which has enhanced some already terrifying and tense moments!

    We’ve also heard all of your queries and questions about the upgrade path for players who already own the first Subnautica on PS4. We’re pleased to confirm that if you own a physical or digital edition of the game you can upgrade to the digital PS5 version at no additional cost. Similarly, those who purchase Below Zero on PS4 will be able to upgrade to the PS5 version for free.*

    Think you can trust your friends? Think again!  Our social deception game, Among Us, is coming to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 later this year. Hop aboard the spaceship with 4-10 players via online play and get to work. Just don’t forget there may be one or more impostors on board ready to sabotage your work and take a deadly swipe at you.

    Among Us originally launched as a teeny, local, mobile only game, and we’re so blown away by how far it’s come. Now we’re even more excited to say it’ll be coming to PlayStation! Wahhh?! We can’t wait for even more people to join our space crew… and potentially eject some of them. With all four maps available to play – from the Skeld to the Airship – it’s going to be a chaotically fun time together.

    Our game was partially based off a game one of our cofounders, Marcus, used to play as a kid where you’d draw role cards and roam a house aimlessly while another person secretly “killed” players by drawing a finger across their neck. He especially loved the idea of someone trying to blend in with everyone. That core idea is still present in Among Us, but we wanted to alleviate the need for an interesting house layout and boring wandering, so we made it space themed and added tasks. The game underwent a ton of design changes to get it to where it’s at, and we’re happy it has resonated with so many of you.

    There is a lot we could say about Among Us, but truly the best part has been seeing the community gather around our indie title. From doodles to entire live action movies and countless streams, we’ve seen a lot of love pouring out for our little space beans. Thank you. We hope we can continue giving back that same energy! There are lots of updates we have planned for Among Us, and we can’t wait to take our PlayStation community along for the ride.

    Ihr denkt, Ihr könnt Euren Freunden trauen? Falsch gedacht!  Unser Spiel der Täuschungen, Among Us, erscheint noch in diesem Jahr für PlayStation 4 und PlayStation 5. Geht online mit 4 bis 10 Spielern an Bord des Raumschiffs und macht euch an die Arbeit. Vergesst nicht, dass es unter euch mindestens einen Betrüger gibt, der versucht, eure Arbeit zu sabotieren und euch den Todesstoß zu versetzen. 

    Among Us wurde ursprünglich als kleines, lokales Spiel für Mobilgeräte auf den Markt gebracht und wir sind so begeistert, wie weit es inzwischen gekommen ist. Jetzt freuen wir uns noch mehr darauf, dass es für PlayStation erhältlich sein wird! Wahhh?! Wir können es kaum erwarten, dass noch mehr Spieler unserer Raumcrew beitreten … und vielleicht können wir einige dieser Spieler rauskegeln. Da alle 4 Karten – von Skeld bis zum Airship – für das Spiel verfügbar sind, dürft Ihr euch auf jede Menge chaotischen Spielspaß freuen.

    Unser Spiel basierte zum Teil auf einem Spiel, das einer unserer Mitbegründer, Marcus, als Kind gespielt hat. Dabei zog man Rollenkarten und streifte ziellos durch ein Haus, während eine andere Person heimlich Spieler „tötete“, indem sie mit dem Finger über deren Hals strich. Marcus gefiel vor allem die Idee, dass jemand versucht, unter den anderen unbemerkt zu bleiben. Diese Kernidee ist bei Among Us noch vorhanden, aber wir wollten die Notwendigkeit eines interessanten Hauses als Spielort und des langweiligen Umherwanderns verringern: Deshalb spielt die Handlung jetzt im Weltall und Aufgaben müssen erledigt werden. Das Spiel wurde einer Vielzahl von Designänderungen unterzogen, um es dahin zu bringen, wo es jetzt ist. Wir freuen uns, dass es bei so vielen von euch so gut angekommen ist.

    Wir könnten noch viel mehr über Among Us erzählen, aber die schönste Erfahrung war es zu sehen, wie die Community sich um unserem Indie-Titel schart. Von Doodles über ganze Live-Action-Filme bis hin zu zahllosen Streams – unsere kleinen Weltraumbohnen haben sehr viel Zuneigung erfahren. Vielen Dank. Hoffentlich können wir auch künftig mit derselben Energie zurückgeben. Wir haben für Among Us viele Updates geplant und können es kaum erwarten, unsere PlayStation-Community auf die Reise mitzunehmen.

    Brandneues Gameplay für Subnautica: Below Zero im State of Play

    Below Zero knüpft an den preisgekrönten Titel Subnautica an und lässt die mutigsten Entdecker in eine Unterwasserwelt voller unerforschter, weitläufiger Biome eintauchen, in deren dunklen Abgründen geheimnisvolle und unbekannte Kreaturen lauern. Während ihr die verworrenen Umstände erforscht, die euch auf den Planeten gebracht haben, müsst ihr rauen, arktischen Bedingungen standhalten und euch vor Alterra verborgen halten, die 4546B nach ihrer Evakuierung fast vollständig verwaist zurückgelassen haben.

    Mit einer Fülle an neuen Werkzeugen und Fahrzeugen zum Handwerken und mit liebevoll entworfenen Biomen zum Staunen bietet Below Zero einen einzigartigen Zugang zur bekannten Kulisse des unwirtlichen Planeten von Subnautica. Begebt euch auf eine Reise, um neue Kältemechanismen zu erkunden, gigantische und mikroskopische Kreaturen zu entdecken – oder in einigen Fällen zu vermeiden – und die vielfältige Geschichte des Subnautica-Universums aufzudecken.

    Wie in State of Play angekündigt, haben wir hart daran gearbeitet, den PS5 DualSense-Controller in Below Zero einzusetzen.     In today’s State of Play, we will give you the most in-depth look yet. You’ll see brand-new gameplay with Rivet, deeper looks at some of the new weapons from the out-of-this-world-arsenal, and glimpses at the variety of worlds, characters and gameplay you’ll experience in the full game.

    Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is a brand-new full-length standalone adventure that is great for both returning players and newcomers alike. We’re pulling out all the stops to make this a showpiece exclusive game for your PlayStation 5 console as you jump between dimensions, handle an explosive arsenal (made even more visceral by the DualSense wireless controller), and strive to save the galaxy from the evil Nefarious.

    Predator: Hunting Grounds comes to Steam with April update

    One year! It’s been one year since we jumped out of the chopper onto the jungle floor. One year since we slid among the trees using infrared to spot our next trophy spine. It’s been one wild year of hunting and being hunted.

    When the hunt began last April, we promised it was just the beginning. Since then: Dutch has arrived, filling you in on lost time with tapes of his whereabouts; five different Predators (Viking, Samurai, Valkyrie, Jungle Hunter, and City Hunter) have watched your every move; new classes for the Predator and Fireteam have made the game more challenging; a new mode was introduced allowing friends (4v4) to CLASH, literally; countless guns, skins, loot, easter-eggs, and trophies have been found/dropped/won; you can host private matches that give you the capability to modify how you want to play; and there are four, actually now…5 maps to test your skills on. You could say IllFonic’s quarantine has been a productive one.

    Before we jump into what’s next, we want to thank everyone who has played, wrote, vlogged, and supported our team. We do this for you. Keep the comments and feedback coming.

    NOW… We have BIG NEWS and lots to cover: New platform play, a new map, and lots of additions/updates. And all are available to enjoy from today.

    New platform play

    We are on Steam! You can purchase Predator: Hunting Grounds on Steam today. To get all Steam players caught up, we will be offering a DLC Predator Package – all four Predator DLC skins and abilities: Viking, Samurai, Valkyrie, and City Hunter; plus early access* to three additional masks and six war paints. (This DLC package is available on all platforms starting today as well, if you have been waiting to add to your Predator collection.) Lastly, good news, Steam players do not fret; our game is crossplay friendly and allows for crossplay invites. One thing to note, all progress in-game is stored on a per-platform basis and is non-transferable.

    New Airstrip Map

    Deep in the jungle, the Stargazer mercenary fleet has an airstrip they use to smuggle goods in and out of the area. The Airstrip map will challenge the player’s skills once again; not only will it push your vertical limits fighting on hangar roofs and run-down radio towers, its open areas will leave you feeling vulnerable. Guerilla snipers wait to pick you off one-by-one, and broken sight lines leave you easy prey as Fireteam. The Predator is forced to calculate its every move as entering this space forces you into hand-to-hand combat without an easy escape to the trees. There are places to hide, but if you seek shelter in a plane and the Predator sees you, just know you’re not getting past it unless it wants you to.

    The Airstrip map took our team about seven months to develop from concept to creation. It will offer 12 different missions that will have you dodging bullets as you weave through homes, radio towers, multiple Stargazer encampments, airplane hangars, and an airstrip littered with planes and choppers, all scattered throughout the thick jungle.

    The new map also brings a killer fight to CLASH. Multiple points within the map make for merciless battles. Our QA team points to the radio tower as an exciting place to defend. With multiple choke points, it’s a calculated yet claustrophobic race to secure the location while your enemies are emerging from all directions making this an incredibly intense battle.

    QA Play Tip – if you want a ridiculously fun CLASH, try the following in a private modified match. Use bottomless mags, crank up explosion range, greatly increase speed, and slightly decrease gravity. Have everyone use rocket or grenade launchers and watch the absurdity. It’s a Pyromaniac’s delight. For extra hilarity, add in Big Head Mode; just be sure to record your play; we want to see the show.

    New Updates

    We have given the Fireteam new toys and a lot of specializations this past year. Now it’s the Predator’s turn. Found in field lockers, a massive amount of cosmetics are coming, including armor and weapon skins. And let’s not forget the trophies coming, including some easter-eggs. We will only give one away right now; you’ll have to find it yourself or look to our social for hints for the rest. The pauldron on Dutch is now finally a mask for the Predator, you asked, and we delivered; this mask is part of the early access release when you purchase this month’s Predator Package DLC.

    Specializations have been a hit, so there is a long list of Predator specializations coming your way with perks correlating to each Predator. To see the complete list, check out our detailed patch notes, but we will highlight a few:

    • Hunter/Jungle Hunter: Tracker – Target isolation ignores mud.
    • Scout: Ghost – Melee attacking from cloak deals additional damage.
    • Berserker: Savage – Claiming restores health.
    • Alpha: Wrathful – After receiving enemy fireteam damage from behind, your next melee attack deals increased damage.
    • Elder: Vicious – Opponents, you bleed out faster while downed and take longer to revive. 

    What’s Next

    As we successfully hit the one-year mark, it doesn’t mean we are done. We have a lot left to bring you. Maybe we will release new Predators, characters, maps, and more. Who knows?! I guess you’ll just have to keep looking at our socials, forums, and here to find out more.

    Xbox hat in den letzten Jahren oft darüber gesprochen, Spieler*innen in den Mittelpunkt zu stellen. In der Vergangenheit mag das für verschiedene Leute unterschiedliche Dinge bedeutet haben. Das gilt besonders für diejenigen, die sich stark mit ihrer Plattform identifizierten – also Konsolenspieler*innen, PC-Spieler*innen oder auch Mobile Gamer*innen. Wenn Du heute durch die (virtuellen) Hallen von Xbox streifst, stellst Du fest, dass Spieler*innen viele verschiedene Games auf unterschiedlichen Geräten spielen. PC-Gaming ist ein Teil davon. Spieler*innen in den Mittelpunkt zu stellen, muss auch für den PC gelten. Deshalb investiert Xbox weiterhin in das gesamte PC Gaming-Ökosystem, damit auch der PC ein wichtiger Teil davon bleibt, wie Menschen ihre Spiele spielen.

    Communities rund um Spiele aufbauen, nicht um Geräte

    Als Plattformbetreiber und Spielepublisher ist es ist es das Hauptanliegen von Xbox, Spieler*innen den Zugang zu ihren Games zu ermöglichen, egal auf welcher Plattform. In den letzten 18 Monaten hat Xbox Spiele wie Age of Empires II und III DE, Gears Tactics, Wasteland 3, Minecraft Dungeons und Microsoft Flight Simulator auf den PC veröffentlicht – von denen viele zum Start die Steam-Charts angeführt haben. Und noch in diesem Jahr erwartet Dich mit Age of Empires IV ein weiterer spannender PC-Titel.

    Wir wissen allerdings auch, dass Du nicht nur auf dem PC spielst, sondern auch auf Xbox und dem Smartphone. Deshalb unterstützt der Multiplayer von Halo Infinite, das später in diesem Jahr erscheint, Cross Play und Cross Progression. Wenn Du also auf dem PC zockst, kannst Du trotzdem gegen Freund*innen auf Xbox One und Xbox Series X|S antreten. Es bedeutet auch, dass Dir Deine Multiplayer-Einstellungen und Dein Fortschritt auf alle Plattformen folgen.

    Spielerlebnisse maßgeschneidert für PC-Gamer

    Spieler*innen sollten die Wahl haben, wo sie ihre Spiele kaufen – und Xbox will den Zugang noch einfacher machen. Die PC-Community nutzt verschiedenste Stores, weshalb Sea of Thieves, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Age of Empires I, II, and III: Definitive Edition und Forza Horizon 4 auch auf Steam verfügbar sind.

    Es gibt aber auch Millionen von Menschen, die über ihre Xbox Game Pass-Mitgliedschaft Videospiele spielen. Xbox hat Halo: The Master Chief Collection Ende 2019 auf dem PC als Teil des Xbox Game Pass für PC eingeführt. Seitdem haben den Titel mehr als 10 Millionen Spieler*innen gespielt, wobei die große Mehrheit von ihnen ganz neu dabei ist. Ermutigt von der Reaktion der Community wird Xbox auch weiterhin Spiele von Publishern und Entwicklern aus der gesamten Branche in die Xbox Game Pass für PC-Bibliothek aufnehmen. Nach nur vier Monaten im Jahr 2021 wurden bereits 100 Titel hinzugefügt, darunter preisgekrönte Bethesda-Spiele und brandneue PC-Titel. In Zusammenarbeit mit Electronic Arts ist EA Play ohne zusätzliche Kosten im Xbox Game Pass für PC und Ultimate verfügbar. Mehr als 50 führende Gerätepartner, darunter Acer, ASUS, Lenovo, MSI und Razer, bieten den Xbox Game Pass für PC mit qualifizierten Geräten an und ermöglichen Gamer*innen auf der ganzen Welt den Zugriff auf die beliebte Bibliothek.

    Xbox arbeitet regelmäßig an Features und Funktionen, die das Spielerlebnis verbessern. Sinnbildlich hierfür steht die Xbox Game Bar. Verbesserte Zuverlässigkeit bei der Installation und schnellere Downloadgeschwindigkeiten werden das Leben der Spieler*innen in den nächsten Monaten noch mehr erleichtern.

    Xbox unterstützt Entwickler

    Spieleentwickler*innen sind das Herzstück, wenn es darum geht, großartige Spiele zu erschaffen. Und Xbox will ihnen auch den Erfolg auf den Plattformen bieten. Aus diesem Grund werden die Microsoft Store-Bedingungen für PC-Spieleentwickler aktualisiert. Ab dem 1. August erhöht Xbox die Entwicklerbeteiligung am Netto-Umsatz von PC-Spielen im Microsoft Store von 70 Prozent auf 88 Prozent. Eine klare, nicht an Bedingungen geknüpfte Umsatzbeteiligung bedeutet, dass Entwickler*innen mehr Spiele zu mehr Spieler*innen bringen und dadurch größeren kommerziellen Erfolg erzielen.     Wir ermutigen Entwickler*innen dazu, selbst zu entscheiden, wie sie ihre Arbeit und die kreative Vision dahinter verbreiten möchten. In der Entwicklung des Microsoft Flight Simulators war der PC als Plattform das oberste Ziel. Gepaart mit Azure AI, Machine Learning, Azure Cognitive Services konnten wir so den gesamten Planeten zum Leben erwecken. Mit Age of Empires IV kommt in diesem Herbst dann der erste komplett neue Titel, der die Reihe technisch und spielerisch auf ein ganz neues Niveau hebt. Mit der Aufnahme von inXile Entertainment, Obsidian und Bethesda in die Xbox-Entwicklerteams fließen Weltklasse-Talent und ein starkes PC-Gaming-Erbe mit in das Xbox-Team ein.

    Xbox ist stolz darauf, allen Entwickler*innen die Plattform und die Dienste zur Verfügung zu stellen, die sie für die Umsetzung ihrer Vision benötigen. Xbox hat DirectX 12 Ultimate sowohl für Xbox Series X|S als auch für den PC eingeführt. Zusammen mit dem neu angekündigten DirectX 12 Agility SDK ermöglicht dies eine beeindruckende Verbesserung der Grafik. Dank der Arbeit an der Auto HDR-Technologie, können PC-Spieler*innen derzeit über 1.000 DirectX-basierte Spiele testen. Außerdem bringt Xbox die DirectStorage-Technologie von der Xbox-Konsole auf den PC, was zu deutlich kürzeren Ladezeiten sowie weitläufigeren und detaillierteren virtuellen Spielwelten führt.

    Ab in die strahlende Zukunft des PC-Gamings

    Es ist noch Menge Arbeit zu tun, aber basierend auf den Reaktionen von PC-Spieler*innen und PC-Spieleentwickler*innen sind wir uns sicher, dass die Investitionen in die richtige Richtung für die Community gehen. Die Xbox Game Studios und Bethesda entwickeln Inhalte für PC und Xbox, die Windows- und DirectX-Teams entwickeln Technologien, mit Hilfe derer Entwickler*innen neue Funktionen anbieten können, die speziell auf PC-Hardware zugeschnitten sind. Der Xbox Game Pass für PC bietet Spiele für jeden Geschmack, die Xbox Game Studio-Spiele erscheinen dort direkt am Release-Tag und die Xbox App sowie die Xbox Game Bar werden ständig weiterentwickelt. Xbox hört weiterhin auf die Community und stellt so sicher, dass sie Versprechen eingehalten und respektiert werden.     Predator: Hunting Grounds feiert mit dem April-Update sein Debüt auf Steam

    Ein Jahr! Es ist echt schon ein ganzes Jahr her, dass wir uns das erste Mal aus dem Heli in den Dschungel abgeseilt haben. Ein Jahr, dass wir das erste Mal durchs Blätterdach gehuscht und per Infrarotsicht neue Trophäen erspäht haben. Ein verrücktes Jahr des Jagens und Gejagtwerdens.

    Als wir letzten April die Jagd einläuteten, haben wir euch versprochen, dass dies erst der Anfang sein würde. Seitdem ist viel passiert: Dutch ist als spielbarer Soldat hinzugekommen und hat uns mit Kassetten davon berichtet, was er die ganze Zeit so getrieben hat; fünf verschiedene Predators (Wikinger, Samurai, Walküre, Dschungeljäger und Stadtjäger) haben euch auf Schritt und Tritt verfolgt; neue Klassen für den Predator und das Feuerteam haben das Spiel anspruchsvoller gemacht; ein neuer Modus wurde eingeführt, in dem Freunde wortwörtlich KONFLIKTE untereinander austragen konnten (in 4-vs-4-Matches); zahllose Waffen, Skins, Beutestücke, Easter-Eggs und Trophäen wurden gefunden/fallengelassen/errungen; private Matches, in denen ihr das Spiel an eure Vorlieben anpassen könnt, sind möglich geworden; und es gibt vier, bzw. mittlerweile sogar fünf Karten, auf denen ihr eure Fähigkeiten unter Beweis stellen könnt. Man könnte sagen, die Quarantäne war für IllFonic ziemlich produktiv.

    Bevor wir uns ansehen, was als Nächstes kommt, möchten wir uns bei jedem bedanken, der das Spiel gespielt, uns Nachrichten geschickt, Vlogs aufgenommen und das Team unterstützt hat. Wir machen das für euch. Schickt uns weiter fleißig Kommentare und Feedback.

    Neue Plattform

    Wir sind jetzt auf Steam! Ihr könnt Predator: Hunting Grounds ab heute auf Steam erwerben. Damit alle Steam-Spieler gleich voll loslegen können, gibt es dazu noch das DLC-Predator-Paket im Angebot – es enthält alle vier Predator-DLC-Skins und -Fähigkeiten: Wikinger, Samurai, Walküre und Stadtjäger; dazu Vorabzugang* zu drei weiteren Masken und sechs Kriegsbemalungen. (Dieses DLC-Paket steht ab heute auch auf allen anderen Plattformen zur Verfügung, wenn ihr eure Predator-Sammlung erweitern möchtet.) Und noch mehr tolle Neuigkeiten für alle zukünftigen Steam-Spieler: Das Spiel bietet Funktionalität für das plattformübergreifende Spielen, damit ihr auch mit euren Freunden auf den anderen Plattformen spielen könnt. Einen winzigen Haken gibt es allerdings, denn der Spielfortschritt kann nur pro Plattform gespeichert und nicht übertragen werden.

    Neue Flugplatz-Karte

    Tief im Dschungel schmuggeln die Stargazer-Söldner Waren über einen Flugplatz in das Gebiet und aus dem Gebiet heraus. Die Flugplatz-Karte wird eure Fähigkeiten einmal mehr auf die Probe stellen. Wir konfrontieren euch nicht nur mit eurer Höhenangst, wenn wir euch auf Hangardächern und Funktürmen kämpfen lassen, sondern auch mit eurer Platzangst, wenn ihr auf weiter Flur ohne Deckung steht. Die Scharfschützen der Guerilla-Streitkräfte stehen schon bereit, euch das Licht auszuknipsen, und als Teil des Feuerteams könnt ihr schnell den Blickkontakt zu euren Kollegen verlieren, was euch zur leichten Beute macht. Der Predator hingegen muss jeden seiner Schritte genau bedenken, da er beim Angriff in den Nahkampf gezwungen wird und sich nicht mehr ohne Weiteres in das rettende Blätterdach zurückziehen kann. Zwar gibt es Versteckmöglichkeiten, aber wenn der Predator euch dabei beobachtet, wie ihr euch in einem Flugzeug versteckt, dann werdet ihr nicht an ihm vorbeikommen, wenn ihm nicht danach ist.

    Von der ersten Idee bis zur Fertigstellung der Flugplatz-Karte hat es ca. sieben Monate gedauert. Sie enthält 12 verschiedene Missionen, bei denen ihr Kugeln ausweichen müsst, wenn ihr euch durch Häuser, Funktürme, mehrere Stargazer-Lager, Flugzeughallen und einen Flugplatz voller Flieger und Helikopter kämpft – und natürlich befindet sich dazwischen der dichte Dschungel, der euch den Weg erschwert.

    Die neue Karte sorgt außerdem für nervenaufreibende KONFLIKT-Gefechte. Durch die verschiedenen Punkte auf der Karte sind erbarmungslose Kämpfe vorprogrammiert. Unser QA-Team möchte dabei besonders den Funkturm als spannenden Kampfschauplatz hervorheben. Dieser bietet mehrere Engpässe und das kalkulierte und doch klaustrophobische Rennen, den Ort zu sichern, während die Gegner von allen Richtungen kommen, entwickelt sich schnell zu einem wahrhaft intensiven Kampf.

    QA-Tipp: Wenn ihr einen KONFLIKT spielen wollt, der unglaublich viel Spaß macht, dann stellt in einem privaten Match doch mal folgende Parameter ein: endlose Magazine, erhöhter Explosionsradius, deutlich erhöhtes Bewegungstempo und leicht verringerte Schwerkraft. Dann ballert ihr alle nur noch mit Raketen- und Granatwerfern rum und werdet manisch lachen, weil es so viel Spaß macht. Das ist der Traum eines jeden Pyromanen. Wenn es noch absurder werden soll, dann schaltet den Großer-Kopf-Modus ein. Aber vergesst nicht, euer Match aufzunehmen, weil wir auch was davon haben wollen.

    Neue Updates

    Wir haben dem Feuerteam über das letzte Jahr viele neue Spielsachen und Spezialisierungen gegeben. Jetzt ist der Predator an der Reihe. In den Waffenkoffern findet ihr demnächst eine gewaltige Menge an kosmetischen Gegenständen, darunter Skins für Rüstung und Waffen. Und die neuen Trophäen dürfen wir natürlich auch nicht vergessen, einschließlich der Easter-Eggs. Aber davon verraten wir vorerst nur eins. Entweder ihr müsst es selbst finden oder ihr folgt unseren Social-Media-Kanälen, um Hinweise zu erhalten. Dutchs Schulterplatte ist jetzt endlich eine Maske für den Predator. Ihr wolltet es so und wir erfüllen euch euren Wunsch nur zu gerne. Die Maske ist Teil des Vorabzugangs, wenn ihr das Predator-DLC-Paket dieses Monats kauft.

    Die Spezialisierungen sind eingeschlagen wie eine Bombe, wir haben also eine ganze Reihe Vorteile für jeden der Predator geplant. Die vollständige Liste findet ihr unten in den detaillierten Patch-Notizen, aber ein paar möchten wir hervorheben:

    • Jäger/Dschungeljäger: Peilsender – Zielisolierung ignoriert Schlamm.
    • Späher: Geist – Nahkampfangriffe aus der Tarnung verursachen erhöhten Schaden.
    • Berserker: Wilder – Das Sammeln einer Trophäe stellt Gesundheit wieder her.
    • Alpha: Zornig – Nachdem du einen Treffer des feindlichen Feuerteams in den Rücken kassiert hast, verursacht dein nächster Nahkampfangriff mehr Schaden.
    • Ältester: Grausam – Zu Boden gebrachte Gegner bluten schneller aus und es dauert länger, sie wiederzubeleben.

    Pläne für die Zukunft

    Wir haben zwar den Ein-Jahr-Meilenstein endlich erreicht, aber wir sind noch lange nicht fertig. Wir haben noch einiges in petto, was wir euch bieten können. Vielleicht werden das neue Predator, Charaktere, Karten und mehr sein. Wer kann das schon sagen?!     We’ve talked often about our “player-first” approach to gaming over the last few years. In the past, that may have meant different things to different people, especially for those who identified strongly with being a console gamer, a PC gamer, or a mobile gamer. If you were to walk the (virtual) halls at Xbox today, I think you’d find that to us, the idea of the “player” has come to mean someone who plays many kinds of games on many different devices. PC gaming is part of this; “player first” has to apply for PC, as well, and to that end we’ve been making investments across the PC gaming ecosystem to ensure that PC is a key part of how people can play games.  

    Building Communities Around Games, Not Devices

    A big part of our role as a platform holder and game publisher is to connect players with games no matter where they play. Over the last 18 months we’ve launched games on PC like Age of Empires II and III DE, Gears Tactics, Wasteland 3, Minecraft Dungeons, and Microsoft Flight Simulator, many of which topped the Steam charts at launch. We’re looking forward to delivering more PC content, including Age of Empires IV, later this year. Whether they are new genres for established franchises, the next iteration of a classic favorite or the evolution of a storied PC brand, we’re making games that PC gamers love to play.

    We know many of you play across more than just your PC, including on Xbox and mobile. That’s why we’re excited to announce Halo Infinite will support multiplayer cross-play and cross-progression when it releases later this year. That means if you’re playing on PC, you can play with your friends on Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S. It also means that your multiplayer customization and progress will follow you across all platforms.

    Halo Infinite

    We have been working closely with the PC community to ensure that Halo Infinite offers a premier PC experience, including highly desired features such as support for ultrawide and super ultrawide screens, triple keybinds, a wide variety of advanced graphics options and more. We want to make sure that Halo is serving the PC community.

    We’re also using the cloud to make console gaming accessible on even more PCs. While not meant to replace native PC gaming, Xbox Cloud Gaming allows Xbox Game Pass Ultimate members to play over 100 console games on a wide range of computers, from lower-spec, entry-level machines to older devices that otherwise couldn’t handle games that require more power.

    Creating Experiences Tailored to PC Gamers

    We believe it’s important that players have a choice in where they purchase games and we want to make accessing content even easier. We know that the PC community uses multiple storefronts, which is why we also brought Sea of Thieves, Halo: The Master Chief Collection, Microsoft Flight Simulator, Age of Empires I, II, and III: Definitive Edition, and Forza Horizon 4 to Steam.

    There are also millions of people opting to use their Xbox Game Pass membership to play. We launched Halo: The Master Chief Collection at the end of 2019 on the PC as part of Xbox Game Pass for PC; since then, over 10 million players have played it, with the vast majority of them being brand new to the franchise. We’re encouraged by the community’s response, and we continue to bring more games from publishers and developers across the industry into the Xbox Game Pass for PC library. We’re only four months into 2021, and we’ve already added 100 titles, including award-winning Bethesda games and brand new PC games, and we partnered with Electronic Arts to make EA Play a part of Xbox Game Pass for PC and Ultimate memberships at no additional cost. More than 50 leading device partners, including Acer, ASUS, Lenovo, MSI and Razer, are offering Xbox Game Pass for PC with qualifying devices, giving gamers around the world access to the library.

    We regularly work on features and functionality that improves and/or allows for a more customized experience like Xbox Game Bar. We’re also bringing more quality-of-life improvements to PC gamers, including improved install reliability and faster download speeds over the next few months.     Helping Developers Deliver Exceptional Experiences

    Game developers are at the heart of bringing great games to our players, and we want them to find success on our platforms. That’s why today we’re announcing that we’re updating our Microsoft Store terms for PC game developers. As part of our commitment to empower every PC game creator to achieve more, starting on August 1 the developer share of Microsoft Store PC games sales net revenue will increase to 88%, from 70%. A clear, no-strings-attached revenue share means developers can bring more games to more players and find greater commercial success from doing so.     We empower developers to decide how to deliver their work based on their creative vision. Developing for PC was a priority for Microsoft Flight Simulator last year, using the help of Azure AI, machine learning, Azure Cognitive Services, and Bing Maps to bring the entire planet to life. . We’re also looking forward to releasing Age of Empires IV this fall, which modernizes the iconic RTS franchise for new and returning players with the first all-new title in the last 10 years. We’re building on our history in PC gaming with the addition of inXile entertainment, Obsidian and Bethesda to our development teams – bringing their world-class talent and heritage into the Xbox team.

    We’re proud to empower all developers with the platform and services they need to execute their vision and provide exceptional experiences on PC. We introduced DirectX 12 Ultimate to both Xbox Series X|S and PC; coupled with the newly announced DirectX 12 Agility SDK, this enables incredible graphics experiences, like ray tracing, for an even larger set of PC gamers. We’re taking the work we did with our Auto HDR technology on Xbox to PC gamers, which is currently being tested with over 1,000 DirectX-based games. We’re also bringing DirectStorage technology on Xbox to PC, which means vastly reduced load times and more expansive and detailed virtual worlds.

    The Future of PC Gaming is Brighter than Ever

    We know that we still have a lot of work to do, but based on the response from both PC gamers and PC game developers, we think that we’re headed in the right direction for this community with the investments we’re making. We have never been in a better position as an organization to deliver for PC gamers, with Xbox Game Studios and Bethesda developing content for both PC and Xbox, the Windows and DirectX teams creating technologies that empower developers and provide PC players with features that specifically take advantage of PC hardware, Xbox Game Pass for PC featuring games for every type of PC gamer with Xbox Game Studio games coming on day one, and the ongoing evolution of the Xbox app and Xbox Game Bar. We’ll continue listening to the community to ensure we’re delivering on our promises, and respecting how players choose to play. This is especially true as we head into the second half of 2021, when our work across the entire PC ecosystem has the potential to  come together in a way that propels the industry forward and brings great games to more gamers around the world.

    Why pay over the odds when you can build an accurate replica, and have fun doing it? For the latest issue of The MagPi Magazine, Rob Zwetsloot switches off his targeting computer to have a look.

    Getting the arcade machine of your dreams gets a little harder every day, especially the older they are. Making one, however, is always possible if you have the right skills and a Raspberry Pi.

    “My project was to build a replica, or as close as I could reasonably manage, of the Atari Star Wars arcade cabinet,” James Milroy tells us. “I really wanted to build a cockpit as that’s what I played on in the eighties, but sadly I didn’t have the room to house it, so the compromise was to build a stand-up cabinet instead.”

    The workings were simple when it came down to it: Raspberry Pi 3B+ with Pimoroni Picade X HAT. This gives us a power switch, audio amp, buttons, and a joystick if necessary. The replica yoke is interfaced with a USB adapter from the same company

    Even then, the standard cabinet has a lot of detail, and James really nailed the look of it. Why build it from scratch, though? “Initially, I had toyed with sourcing an original cabinet and restoring it, but soon gave up on that idea after finding it nigh on impossible to source a cabinet here in the UK,” James explains. “Almost all cabinets for sale were located in the USA, so they were out of the question due to the high cost of shipping. Atari only made just over 12,500 cabinets worldwide, so their rarity meant that they commanded top dollar, effectively putting them out of my price range. It was at this point that I decided that if it was going to happen, then I would have to make it myself.”

    Making a cabinet is hard enough, but the control system would have to be an original Atari yoke. “The Atari yoke is considered the ‘holy grail’ of controllers and, again, is very hard to find,” James says. “My prayers were answered in October 2018 when a thread on a forum I was subscribed to popped up with a small Utah-based startup aiming to supply replica yokes at a realistic price to the arcade community. I grabbed two of these (one for my friend) and the project was on.”

    When it came to actually emulating the game, for James there was only one choice: “My decision to go with a Raspberry Pi was a no-brainer really. I had previously made a bartop cabinet using a Raspberry Pi 3 and RetroPie/EmulationStation which I was really pleased with. So I had a platform that I already had experience with and knew was more than capable of emulating the one game I needed to run. Besides, the simplicity and low cost of the ecosystem for Raspberry Pi far outweighs the extra expense and effort required going down the PC route.”

    With a custom build and emulation, authenticity of the gameplay experience could be a bit off. However, that’s not the case here. “I think that it plays just like the real arcade machine mainly due to the inclusion of the replica yoke controller, and adding your credit by pressing the button on the coin door,” says James. “Ideally a vector monitor or a CRT would go a long way to making it look just like the original, but a reasonable representation is possible on an LCD using shaders and anti-aliasing. Gameplay does seem to get really hard really quick, though; this could be due to an imperfect emulation, but is more likely due to my reactions having dulled somewhat in the last 38 years!”

    Always in motion

    While the current build is amazing as it is, James does have some ideas to improve it. “Overall, I’m really pleased with the way the cabinet has worked out,” he says. “I will be replacing Raspberry Pi 3B+ with a Raspberry Pi 4 to enable me to run a newer version of MAME which will hopefully offer a better emulation, sort some audio glitching I get with my current setup, and hopefully enable some graphical effects (such as bloom and glow) to make it look more like its running on a CRT.”

    In a natural disaster or emergency, every second counts. For example, when it comes to earthquakes, studies show that more than 50% of injuries can be prevented if users receive an early warning, and have the critical seconds needed to get to safety. That’s why last year, we launched the Android Earthquake Alerts System, which uses sensors in Android smartphones to detect earthquakes around the world. The free system provides near-instant information to Google Search about local seismic events when you search “Earthquake near me.”

     

    Today we’re announcing an expansion of the Android Earthquake Alerts System that uses both the detection and alerts capabilities, bringing these alerts to Android users in countries that don’t have early warning alert systems. We’re introducing the Android Earthquake Alerts System in Greece and New Zealand, where Android users will receive automatic early warning alerts when there is an earthquake in their area. Users who do not wish to receive these alerts can turn this off in device settings.

     

    We launched alerting in August 2020, in partnership with the United States Geological Survey (USGS) and powered by ShakeAlert®, which made alerts available for Android users in California. This feature recently expanded to users in Oregon and will be rolling out in Washington this May.

     

    Early warning alerts in New Zealand and Greece work by using the accelerometers built into most Android smartphones to detect seismic waves that indicate an earthquake might be happening. If the phone detects shaking that it thinks may be an earthquake, it sends a signal to our earthquake detection server, along with a coarse location of where the shaking occurred. The server then takes this information from many phones to figure out if an earthquake is happening, where it is and what its magnitude is.

     

    New Zealand and Greece will be the first countries to take advantage of both the detection and alert capabilities of the Android Earthquake Alerts System. Through this system, we hope to provide people with the advance notice they need to stay safe.

    Lasers come in two varieties: solid-state and gas tube. As the name suggests, the latter types contain gas. That is a mixture of gas in precise proportions. To fill his DIY laser tube, Cranktown City built an Arduino-controlled gas mixer.

    This device has an Arduino Uno board that drives three relay modules. The first relay switches power to a gas pump, the second relay controls an output valve, and the third relay controls an input valve. A push button starts the pumping process. The pump turns on and the input valve opens. Gas from a storage tank is pumped into an inflatable bag. Once the bag is full, as detected by a limit switch, the two valves flip and the gas pumps into the laser tube.

    Cranktown City knows the exact volume of the inflatable bag, so he knows how much gas has been pumped into the laser tube each time the device runs. Like mixing a cocktail, this lets him “pour” each part of the gas mixture into the laser tube until he ends up with the correct proportions.

    The gas pump, Arduino, relays, and inflatable bag are all enclosed within a heavy duty case made from steel sheet cut on a plasma table. The resulting mixer is portable and robust enough to stand up to abuse of a shop environment. With this device, Cranktown City can continue with developing his DIY laser tube — a project we can’t wait to see completed.

    It’s finally time for players to join the fight and reclaim Earth from the mutated dinosaurs who currently rule in Second Extinction (Game Preview).

    Having the game available today via the Game Preview program with Xbox Game Pass on Day One is beyond thrilling and will allow us to shape the game together with you as we move towards a full release. But before we throw you to the dinosaurs, here’s a few things that could be good to know.

    How did we end up here?

    The dinosaurs we all thought to be extinct have been lying nestled in the Earth’s crust for millions of years, resting and waiting for the perfect circumstances to arise. And when they did, they were fast and ruthless. Within hours, everything had changed. In the face of total annihilation, the directors of the Emergency Response Agency (ERA) organized planetary evacuations.

    Now, years later, the human resistance has regrouped and is finally ready to fight back. Squads of survivors with relevant experience will be dropping back to Earth from orbiting space stations to gather essential resources, weapons, and information about the dinosaurs. And this is where you, our Extinction Elites, come in.

    It’s worth mentioning is that Second Extinction is not a lore-focused game, but you will get clues and winks in the seasonal content on what has gone down and how the dinosaurs ended up becoming the mutated beasts they are. So, if that is something you fancy, keep an eye out.

    Squad up!

    Why 3-player co-op, you might wonder? Early in development, the team played around with different setups and ideas. What worked best was a 3-player squad, and so Second Extinction was designed with that in mind. That doesn’t mean you can’t drop down to Earth with only one friend joining or going in solo but do so at your own risk. It’s quite the challenge that deserves bragging rights if you survive, especially in the higher difficulty settings.

    If I can’t talk you into bringing some backup when going planet-side, I recommend starting with Expedition Mode, where you can roam the map freely and can call in a dropship to get you when you’re ready to go back to safety.

    Who’s your pick?

    We currently have five heroes who fit into three classes. We have our Troopers, the agile DPS class where we have the dashing Ortega and stealth sniper Jürgen. Next up, we have the Enforcers, our brutes, or tanks with the big and heavy guns only an exo-suit carrying hero can handle. Here you find Rosy and our newest addition to the lineup Jack. Finally, we have the Operators, the gadgety-class where we find our explosion and laser loving Amir.

    Besides their different strengths, the classes also determine what guns that character gets to play with. For example, the Enforcers have the Rocket Launcher, and the Operators have the Grenade Launcher. Whoever you’re leaning towards, I recommend trying them all out to see what works best for you and your playstyle.

    How does progression work?

    Remember the Rocket Launcher? It unlocks at level 15. The more you play and gather research and materials, the higher level you will reach, and on the journey to the current max level of 25, you’ll unlock some rocking gear and weapons.

    You can also use the research and materials you gather to upgrade and unlock weapon perks. Make sure you don’t avoid killing any dinosaurs you find challenging. They drop different materials, and the ones you need for the cool perks are, of course, on the rarer side, so be versatile in what types you kill. Or just kill all of them.

    Below you can see the Scout Rifle skill tree. There are a set number of tokens that can be used and placed strategically so make sure to try different combinations and experiment to find what perks work best for you.

No wonder Dr. Wolfe stole them.

    Finished the campaign? Test your mettle in the endless survival levels. Definitely co-opable. Face down wave after wave of increasingly difficult enemies as you prove your skills. Make sure to stock up on grenades. You’ll definitely want to take advantage of your Muffs for this one too, as they make you faster and stronger. Pro Tip: Muffs also decrease the timer for the weapons crate, so you can find that laser sword much faster.

    Last question, what’s with the weird name? Cymatics is how sound impacts matter, and the big headphones are Muffs, so Cymatically Muffed is a play on how listening to music can help you perform better. My husband, Sam, and I like to listen to music while we work. It helps us get into better flow. When we jumped into making Muffed four years ago, it was a completely different game, but the idea that bumping music would remove limits for the characters has always been there.     Welcome to the world of our fast-paced, brutal fire-person shooter, Necromunda: Hired Gun, coming June 1 to Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S.

    On behalf of Streum On Studio, let me take you through the colossal super-cities that delve deep into the planet Necromunda, where millions live and die every day in the countless factories that feed the glorious Imperium of Man.

    Necromunda: Hired Gun

    But this is the Underhive, were fumbled glory and grand causes have slipped between smoking grates into never-ending darkness. You are a bounty hunter, a merchant of life and death, but mostly death. Here in the grimy depths, where the air is toxic and the walls bleed smoke and fire, gang warfare rules supreme and survival of the strong is the only law. Variety is the spice of life, and in the Underhive slums, you’ll find all sorts of scum looking to take yours for a pittance. To survive, you must maneuver the endless conflicts and grudges of three Houses vying for power.

    Let’s look at the three gangs:

    • House Orlock are as industrious as they are corrupt. They’ll threaten you, probably even shoot at you, but they’ll also pay you for a job well done.
    • The all-female Escher gang are blood-thirsty chem dealers, but their greed can make them business-minded.
    • Members of House Goliath are hard to miss, although they’ve been genetically modified and altered to be huge and freakishly strong and hardy, they’re still ugly as hell.

    Martyr’s end is where you’ll put your feet up between contracts, but you should watch your back there all the same. Mind you keep an eye on the corpse cults, gangers, and dome runners that frequent the place while you’re at it, unless you want your career cut short. Places like this are a gold mine for the kind of information you’re looking for: Who needs killing, and who’s paying for it? Tip the bartender and they’ll share the latest gossip.

    When most people die in the Underhive, no one cares. But a Guilder… The bounty for bringing in the outlaw who kills one is huge. So huge that it might be worth teaming up with other hired guns. For a payout this big, exceptions can be made. But once you have the prize, who’s to say they won’t get greedy? Not only that, but there are also bound to be other bounty hunters on the prowl.

    Before heading out, give your trusty cyber-mastiff a good scratch behind the ear and verify that his cyber jaw is in tip-top shape (for the crunching of bones). Stop by the rogue doctor to add a new bionic augment and make sure you’re ready for action, then test out your gear at the Gladiatorium. How you hunt is up to you, and Necromunda isn’t short on half-understood death-technology.

    Make a name for yourself, and you’ll meet other big names. Names like the legendary Kal Jerico, or The Shadow. Survivors and killers all, but sometimes it’s good to have a killer at your side. And killers have the best stories.

    Hey everyone, the team at Lucid has been working hard during the launch of Destruction AllStars and we’ve had a blast interacting with you on Twitter and elsewhere in the community on Reddit and Discord. We’re really grateful for all the feedback we’ve been receiving as well as all the chaos and carnage we’ve been seeing in the arena! We’re back with a brand new trailer and your first look at Destruction AllStars’ first season, Hotshots!

    Season 1

    We’re just a week away from the launch of our first season in Destruction AllStars. Seasons are our way of injecting new content into the game for all players, as well as adding in new cosmetics items to help you customise your AllStars to reflect your personality. In our last blog post, we revealed that our first season will be called Hotshots, and we also dropped a few teasers around our first new AllStar being added to the roster since the game’s launch. We’re here to flesh out what you can expect from Season One, starting with a closer look at our new AllStar. Without further ado, let’s introduce you to Alba.

    New character

    Alba is a veteran of Destruction AllStars who is returning to the competition after several years away from the event. She’s a fierce competitor hailing from Scotland who brings a clear sense of determination to the arena, along with a high-tech armoured battle suit. We’ll be learning more about Alba through her Challenge Series which will be released alongside Season One.

    In the arena, we’re really expecting Alba to shake things up. Her on-foot ability, or Character Breaker, summons blockers out of the ground in front of her. These blockers, called bulwarks, act in the same way that blockers do in our arena. They are immovable objects, physically stopping competitors as they try to drive on through. Being able to use these bulwarks anywhere in the arena opens up tactical opportunities for disrupting opposing players or protecting yourself from an incoming vehicle when you’re on foot.

    Alba’s hero vehicle, Claymore, is where the sparks really start to fly. Her hero vehicle functions a little differently to the other vehicles in Destruction AllStars. Instead of a slam which pushes the vehicle in the chosen direction (forwards, left, or right), Claymore deploys a laser beam that sweeps and damages AllStars or vehicles in its area of effect. These beams can be tactically deployed as you approach an enemy player, or in response to an enemy hero vehicle bearing down on you.

    AllStar Pass

    The brand new AllStar Pass is coming to Destruction AllStars, starting with Season One Hotshots. The AllStar Pass is a way for players to earn cosmetics from online multiplayer, no matter how they choose to play the game.

    With Alba returning to the competition, our AllStars have decided to roll out the red carpet and get dressed up for the occasion. You’ll see a lot of black ties and tailcoats in the AllStar Pass as our AllStars get ready to welcome back a renowned veteran. Some of our AllStars have taken things even further, with two Legendary skins and one Heroic skin available in the AllStar Pass to really stand out from the crowd. With skins, emotes, avatars, banners and shouts, there’s plenty of ways to show off your style and change up your AllStars’ look.

    To progress your AllStar Pass, you’ll need to earn Season Points by completing matches online (active PlayStation Plus subscription is required for online play), with additional points on offer through new Seasonal Challenges and Sponsor Challenges.

    Seasonal Challenges are an extension of our existing Daily and Weekly challenges, only these award Season Points instead of XP and currency. Sponsor Challenges are objectives set by some of the companies that sponsor Destruction AllStars events in-game. These challenges are made available from the start of Season One and can be completed at your own pace, at any point before the end of the season. All of these challenges reward Season Points, but some of the biggest challenges offer AllStar Coins and Destruction Points upon completion.

    These challenges are available at no additional charge to all players. Whenever you play online multiplayer, you’ll always be making progress towards your next tier of the AllStar Pass.

    The AllStar Pass will have 100 tiers to unlock, with some items available for all players alongside a premium tier that can be bought for 1000 Destruction Points.

    The premium tier of the AllStar Pass and Alba’s Challenge Series are the only paid content planned in Season One: Hotshots

    Photo Mode

    A few weeks after the launch of Season One, Photo Mode will be making its way to Destruction AllStars. Available in all single player activities, you’ll be able to pause the game at any moment and enter free-cam to start looking for the perfect angle on any wreck, barge, or pose. Once you’ve found your shot, you can apply a variety of stickers, frames and filters to enhance your image and really make it shine. Thanks to the built in sharing features of the PS5, it’s easy to share your moments of mayhem on social media for the world to see. We can’t wait to see what you’ll create with this brand new feature, especially when taking it back through some of our previous Story Mode’s (previously referred to as Challenge Series) as well as any new single player content that follows in the future.

    Blitz

    For AllStars looking to take their careers to the next level, Blitz is the game mode for you. This is a brand new mode for Destruction AllStars and it will be arriving about halfway into Season One. This mode has been built to really get to grips with what makes for skillful teamplay in our game. At its core, Blitz is an evolution of Mayhem (our take on standard deathmatch) between four teams of three AllStars. However, unlike a game of Mayhem, Blitz consists of short, intense, adrenaline fueled rounds. These rounds are all about being the first team to reach a set score to win the round. Win a set number of rounds wins the match.

    To add more tactical decision making between the rounds, players will need to pick a new AllStar at the start of every round! Here’s where things start to get really tactical. In Blitz, your Character Ability and Hero Vehicle energy will carry over from the previous round. You can use this rollover of energy to start your next round with a key advantage. Will you pick an AllStar with an aggressive Hero Vehicle and cause carnage in the opening seconds or will you play your cards close to your chest and activate your Character Ability in the final moments for a dramatic comeback? Be sure to coordinate with your team to make sure that your chosen AllStars are robust and able to counter whatever the competition might throw at you.

    Blitz will be joining our lineup of game modes towards the start of June. Blitz is our competitive mode and will be launching as an unranked playlist during Season One. We’re treating this as an introduction to the game mode to allow players to get familiar with how it works and experiment with its teamplay. As part of its introduction, there will be exclusive cosmetic rewards available for players who dive into Blitz during its first season.

    And there you have it! Season One is bringing loads of new features to Destruction AllStars, with many of them being made available at no additional cost for all players. Season One launches May 5. We can’t wait for you to get your hands on all of this new stuff.
