FaceRig is new software technology that lets users become actual game characters – from a cute red panda to a horned demon. In other words, it will allow users to adopt the appearance of an assortment of characters, which immediately mimic their expressions when chatting online.
This technology will allow you to become a digital actor on a virtual movie set in a sense. It was developed by five ex-game developers in Bucharest, Romania and the program will be able to be used with Skype or any other webcam service when it is released. Expect to shell out as little as $5 (£3) for early adopters when it hits stores in August.
