    For all of you Batman fans, here is a cool TV spot to celebrate the imminent launch of the new episode of the Batman Arkham franchise. It is about Bruce Wayne/Batman being beaten since he was a child and then counter attacking.

    This emotional piece depicts the transformation from Bruce Wayne’s dark childhood to his position as the feared crime-fighting hero.

    Developed by WB Games Montréal, Batman: Arkham Origins is based on DC Comics‘ core Batman license and features an expanded Gotham City and introduces an original prequel storyline set several years before the events of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City. Taking place before the rise of Gotham City’s most dangerous criminals, the game showcases a young and unrefined Batman as he faces a defining moment in his early career as a crime fighter that sets his path to becoming the Dark Knight. As the story unfolds, players will meet many important characters for the first time and forge key relationships.

    And remember, the game is already on mobile platforms (iOS, Android) but is going to release on October 25 for for PC, PS3, Wii U and Xbox 360 alongside Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate on 3DS and Vita.

    According to a source of TheSameCoin, Driveclub for the PS4 has been delayed until at least spring 2014. The title was announced as a launch title for Sony’s next-gen console.

    The site says that you should treat this as „100% rumour“ for now, but considering yesterday’s announcements about Watch Dog’s & The Crew slipping into 2014, it wouldn’t be surprising.

    Here’s the report:

    We’ve had word from an anonymous source that Sony’s upcoming PS4 launch title Driveclub is delayed until spring 2014. While no reason for the delay was given it has been reported previously that the game had looked a little unfinished when shown at various events this year.

    With a little under a month before the PS4′s US release this isn’t the best of news, especially in the light of Ubisoft’s news that the highly anticipated launch title watch Dog’s won’t be hitting until sometime next year. It’s also a hit to the platforms hugely popular PS+ service as an albeit stripped down version of Driveclub was due to be available for PS+ subscribers free at launch.

    It could also be another blow to retailers who are already having to scramble to adjust preorder bundles of the PS4 in light of yesterdays news.

    As stated this is just a rumour at present,expect this piece to self destruct if it turns out to be rubbish but we’ll be sure to update as we learn more. I have reached out to both Evolution Studios and Sony for comment but as yet neither has chosen to reply.

    The purpose of the Red Bull Stratos mission is to transcend human limits. Supported by a team of experts Felix Baumgartner ascended to 128,100 feet in a stratospheric balloon and made a freefall jump rushing toward earth at supersonic speeds before parachuting to the ground. His successful feat on Oct. 14, 2012 holds the potential to provide valuable medical and scientific research data for future pioneers.

    The Red Bull Stratos team brings together the world’s leading minds in aerospace medicine, engineering, pressure suit development, capsule creation and balloon fabrication. Retired United States Air Force Colonel Joseph Kittinger, previously held the record jump from 102,800 ft in 1960. This was during a time when no one knew if a human could survive a jump from the edge of space. Joe was a Captain in the U.S. Air Force and had already taken a balloon to 97,000 feet in Project ManHigh and survived a drogue mishap during a jump from 76,400 feet in Excelsior I. The Excelsior III mission was his 33rd parachute jump.

    Although researching extremes was part of the program’s goals, setting records wasn’t the mission’s purpose. Joe ascended in helium balloon launched from the back of a truck. He wore a pressurized suit on the way up in an open, unpressurized gondola. Scientific data captured from Joe’s jump was shared with U.S. research personnel for development of the space program. Today Felix and his specialized team want to take what was learned from Joe’s jumps more than 50 years ago, and combine that with data aquired during Felix’s supersonic freefall.

    Yes, Internet, making his debut in Forza Motorsport 5 is the virtual version of our tame racing driver — though this one’s slightly different. He — or it — is allegedly beatable. But only if you’re really good. That means you lucky folks who plan on snapping up the shiny new Xbox One and Forza 5 next month will be among the planet’s first to take him on.

    As you know, Forza 5 will feature the Top Gear test track, rendered in meticulous detail, including the follow-through and Gambon sections. Though the ramshackle shed where we store all of our crisps might not have made the cut.

    Still, you’ll have in-game commentary from Jeremy, Richard and James on the career modes, and races inspired by Top Gear events, amongst other things.

    Microsoft has just released a new video walkthrough of the Xbox One „Friends“ application.

     

    The video is narrated by Larry ‚Major Nelson‘ Hryb, and showcases the new features of the forthcoming app. Here are the details:

    “You’ll see your feed in the middle, which highlights what your friends are doing, as they do it, updating in real time,” Xbox LIVE’s Major Nelson says in the video. “Off to your right, you’ll see your favorites… And then there’s your party, if you have one active.

    “If we enter ‘My Profile,’ you’ll get a snapshot of your profile in all its glory, including your reputation score there at the bottom. You’ll also be able to check your recent activity, achievements, and uploaded videos. If I head back and choose friends, I’ll get the full list, which I can sort in a variety of ways.

    “If I choose a friends, I’ll see their profile, including the count of their friends, their actual friends list, and how many followers they have. I can also see their recent activity, achievements, and videos.

    “If I add someone to my favorites list, I can quickly access that list. Now this is particularly great if you have a core group of friends who you play with all the time.

    “On Xbox One, you can follow people without being on their friends list. For example, if I’m a huge fan of certain pro gamers or celebrities… I could potentially follow them by adding them to my feed and friends list. Once I follow them, they’ll receive a notification. If they choose, they can follow me back and we’ll both appear on each others friends list. Of course, if that person didn’t want to be followed, they can set their privacy settings to block their profile. Chances are you’ll start seeing people not on your friends list start following you, as well.”

    College Students Successfully Create and Fire 3D-Printed Rocket Engine

    UCSD (Uiversity of California, San Diego) have created a 3D-printed metal rocket engine using techniques previously only known to NASA, and successfully fired it at the Friends of Amateur Rocketry launch site in California’s Mojave Desert. Gizmag says that it is the „first such test of a printed liquid-fueled, metal rocket engine by any university in the world and the first designed and printed outside of NASA.“

    The Tri-D rocket engine, as it’s called, was designed and built with the cooperation of NASA’s Marshall Space Flight Center as part of an effort to explore the feasibility of printed rocket components.

    For purposes of the exercise, it was designed to power the third stage of a Nanosat launcher, that is, one capable of launching satellites that weigh less than 1.33 kg (2.93 lb).

    A group of physicists have just published a description of a quantum black hole, which uses loop quantum gravity where the predictions of physics-ending singularities vanish, and are replaced by bridges to another universe.

    In other words, in place of the black hole is something that resembles an entry point to another universe.

     

    According to Sci Tech Daily, „in this new model, the gravitational field still increases as you near the black hole’s core. But unlike previous models, this doesn’t end in a singularity. Instead gravity eventually reduces, as if you’ve come out the other end of the black hole and landed either in another region of our universe, or another universe altogether. Despite only holding for a simple model of a black hole, the researchers believe the theory may banish singularities from real black holes too.

    Scientists Announce That Jupiter and Saturn May be Filled with Diamonds

    According to a group of scientists, lead by University of Wisconsin-Madison’s Kevin Baines, both of our solar system’s largest gas giants are home to conditions favorable to the creation of solid diamonds. That’s right, „about a thousand tons of diamonds per year.“

     

    Here’s how it works:

    Massive lightning storms which cut across the gas giants‘ atmosphere, posit Baines and his co-authors, begin the process by shredding methane molecules into carbon. This carbon, in the form of soot, then begins to sink deeper into the gaseous layers of the planet, where it is exposed to higher pressures. First converted into graphite, these bits of soot are eventually exposed to pressures strong enough to compress them into solid diamonds.

    Ubisoft® veröffentlichte einen neuen Trailer zu Rocksmith® 2014 Edition, in dem der brandneue Session-Modus vorgestellt wird.

     

    Im Session-Modus leitet der Spieler eine virtuelle Band, die sich dynamisch an sein Spielverhalten anpasst. Hierbei stehen ihm 70 verschiedene Instrumente zur Verfügung, um die eigene Band zusammenzustellen. Der Session-Modus ist ein etwas anspruchsvolleres Feature, an das aber auch unerfahrene Spieler im Verlauf unterschiedlicher Übungen herangeführt werden. Experten können direkt einsteigen und das gesamte Spektrum des Gitarrenhalses nutzen.

    Zusätzlich wird der Session-Modus im Mehrspieler unterstützt, sodass zwei Spieler Seite an Seite spielen und ihr eigenes Band-Erlebnis kreieren können.
