Sure, lugging around any Alienware gaming laptop with a screen that’s 17″ or larger may not be practical, but this Xbox One version is definitely unique to say the least. It features an ultra slim design – 2-inches thick (includes display) versus the 3.1-inches of the original – all original ports, top-mounted circular fan, „and the awkward USB port located on the side of Xbox One is now conveniently located on the front of the laptop for quick access.“
Dvice reports that „as for „upgrades,“ the Xbox One laptop does have one thing regular Xbox One consoles don’t: line out for audio. The port lets you plug in the Xbox One laptop to any external sound system that doesn’t take digital or optical out.

Ubisoft® kündigte das Release-Datum von Might & Magic® X Legacy an. SteamOS is already available to download. Based on the Debian 7.1 flavor of Linux, this *sweet* distro has more than meets the eye. Size = 960MB.
Bare in mind that’s it still in BETA.
What’s Steam OS?:
SteamOS is designed primarily for playing video games. Users will be able to stream games from their Windows or Mac computers to one running SteamOS, and it will incorporate the same family sharing and restrictions as Steam on the desktop. Valve claims that it has “achieved significant performance increases in graphics processing” through SteamOS. The operating system will be open source allowing anyone to build on or adapt the source code, which will run on Steam Machines.
Since SteamOS is designed for playing games it will not have many built-in functions beyond web browsing and playing games; for example there is no file manager or image viewer. Though the OS does not, in its current form, support streaming services, Valve is in talks with streaming companies to bring the feature to SteamOS.

Just as promised, Valve has made its first release of SteamOS available for downloads at the same time it ships out prototype Steam Machines to 300 beta testers. Based on the Debian 7.1 flavor of Linux, SteamOS is a platform purpose built for playing PC games on the TV. According to a newly released document, sourced by The Guardian from the whistleblower Edward Snowden, it shows that the National Security Agency (NSA) has been sending virtual undercover agents into several online gaming platforms such as Second Life, Xbox Live and World of Warcraft to catch terrorists as well as other criminals.
Dvice reports that „agents were deployed to monitor chat and root out the secret terrorist cells that might to be masquerading as gnomes and night elves as they plotted some serious real-world raiding. Everyone from Al-Qaida to government-backed Chinese hackers and an Iranian nuclear scientist were found to have been using Xbox Live, World of Warcraft and other online gaming platforms, the NSA said.“

Google already has self-driving cars, so self-aware robots with artificial intelligence are the next logical step, right?
To kick things off, „Google hopes to create robots for use in industrial settings, like factories [and they’re already] experimenting with delivering packages in urban areas, building upon that existing technology is a no-brainer.“
Dvice says that „the company has also bought several robotics and AI companies in both the U.S. and Japan and are looking to purchase more. Although, the company calls the robotics division a ‚moonshot,‘ the idea is to get robots on the market as soon as possible. If that’s the case, sign me up for the first robot maid. Who cares if it might become self-aware and bring on the apocalypse?“
