Xbox corporate VP of marketing Yusuf Mehdi added that the system is selling at „record-setting pace“ for the Xbox brand, and thanked players for their support.

Zoo Tycoon für Xbox One bietet ab sofort monatliche Community Herausforderungen, die sich um eine der im Spiel enthaltenen bedrohten Tierarten drehen. Spieler haben die Möglichkeit abzustimmen, welche Non-Profit-Organisation unterstützt werden soll. Sofern das Ziel des laufenden Monats erreicht wird, spendet Microsoft 10.000 US-Dollar an die ausgewählte Organisation. Wie und wo das gespendete Geld verwendet wurde, kann die Zoo Tycoon Community selbstverständlich anhand von Fotos und Berichten der Mitarbeiter vor Ort verfolgen.
Zoo Tycoon Spieler haben derzeit die Möglichkeit, den Spendenempfänger der ersten Community-Herausforderung zu bestimmen. Zur Auswahl stehen Rhino Rescue, das Komodo Survival Program sowie das Tiger Species Survival Program. Die Abstimmung endet am 31. Dezember.
