    PS4 day One sells through one million in North America

    Sony announced today that one million PlayStation 4s have already been sold to customers in North America. The news was confirmed via Twitter by Sony Worldwide Studios president Shuhei Yoshida, who wrote “PS4 has sold through over 1 million units within 24 hours of the launch in North America!”

    Adam Boyes, Sony Vice President of publisher and developer relations, added “Thanks to all of you gamers in getting us to 1,000,000 sales of PS4 in our first 24 hours!

    Sony announced at Gamescom that PlayStation 4 had surpassed 1 million pre-orders. In September, Sony Computer Entertainment president Andrew House said Sony hopes to sell 5 million PlayStation 4s by March 2014.

    PlayStation 4 launched in North America on November 15th and will be released in Europe, Australia and New Zealand on November 29th. The console will launch in Japan in 2014.

    Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. veröffentlicht myPES für PES 2014 als App; zunächst für iOS, eine Version für Android folgt in Kürze.

    myPES wurde in einer Grundversion mit PES 2012 eingeführt; die populäre Applikation wurde zunächst dafür entwickelt, um Spielergebnisse innerhalb der Community zu teilen. myPES ist nun erheblich erweitert: Die frei zugängliche App ermöglicht umfangreiche Statistiken und den Austausch zahlreicher User- und Spieldaten – plattformunabhängig für alle PES 2014 Spieler auf PS3, Xbox 360 und PC.

     

    Die App wurde parallel zum zweiten PES 2014 Data Pack veröffentlicht, das Funktionen enthält, die den Austausch statistischer Daten von PES 2014 ermöglichen. Die myPES App erlaubt es Usern, ihre Spielstatistiken auf iOS- und Android-Geräten zu prüfen und zu organisieren. Dazu zählen Analysen zu Ballbesitz, Schüssen, Pässen und Spielmustern ebenso wie der detaillierte Blick auf Tore oder auch potenzielle Schwachstellen des Gegners. Alle diese Daten dienen dazu, den eigenen Spielstil zu analysieren und im Hinblick auf kommende Partien zu optimieren.

     

    myPES ist zudem ein wichtiges Element für die Community von PES 2014. So lassen sich Gruppen entwickeln, deren Ergebnisse anschließend von der App geführt werden – mit den entsprechenden Gruppenmitgliedern in der richtigen Reihenfolge. Spieler, die mit ihren Konsolen nicht online sind, haben die Möglichkeit, ihre Statistiken mittels Scan eines nach dem Spiel angezeigten QR Codes zu speichern. Die App übernimmt anschließend die Synchronisation und weitere Analyse der Daten.

     

     

    Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. gibt zudem bekannt, dass das neue Data Pack 2 für PES 2014 ab sofort verfügbar ist. Das frei erhältliche Update fügt dem Titel eine Vielzahl an Neuerungen hinzu: 800 neue Spielergesichter, verbesserte Online-Elemente und ein überarbeiteter Edit Modus sind enthalten. Wie angekündigt, wird dieser DLC auch sämtliche Spielertransfers beinhalten und damit sicherstellen, dass die Profis in ihren aktuellen Teams spielen.

    It’s almost time. There are just 11 days to go before Xbox One’s worldwide launch on Nov. 22, and all the wheels at Xbox HQ are in motion.

    Phil Spencer, Corporate Vice President, Microsoft Studios, previously shared with IGN that games in Xbox One’s launch lineup, including “Dead Rising 3,” “Forza Motorsport 5,” “Ryse: Son of Rome” and “Zoo Tycoon” have  finished development.  Today, we’re excited to announce that they’ve also officially gone gold, and are currently being published, packaged and shipped to retailers at this very moment.

    It should be no surprise that South Park: The Stick of Truth is chock full o‘ filth-flarn-flarn-filth-flarn and hellbent for an M-for-Mature rating. It’s still fun to hear the ESRB reading the dialogue aloud from its fainting couch.

    The game includes several instances of mature humor and sexual material: one extended sequence depicts characters getting anally probed by alien creatures

    Why, I do declare …

    Another sequence (in an abortion clinic) depicts doctors using a vacuum to perform procedures on male characters

    Well, I never!

    The words „f**k,“ „sh*t,“ „a*shole,“ and „f*ggot“ can be heard in the dialogue.

Players use various weapons (swords, baseball bats, hammers), magic spells and melee attacks during fights; blood-splatter effects sometimes occur. Cutscenes occasionally depict “cartoony” characters dismembered or decapitated.     Today we are excited to announce that SkyDrive on the new Xbox One will bring your photos and videos to your TV. Starting on November 22, when the new console becomes available, SkyDrive on Xbox One will provide a seamless, beautiful experience for you to kick back and enjoy photos and videos in your own personal collection, or those shared with you.

    The app also takes advantage of exclusive Xbox One features: You can open photo albums from channels in the OneGuide, play music alongside your slide show with Xbox Music, and control the whole app with gestures and voice, courtesy of Kinect. It all starts with the simple command, “Xbox: Go to SkyDrive.”

    SkyDrive is the best way to see your photos and videos on the big screen via Xbox One. The SkyDrive and Xbox incubation teams are passionate about bringing your photos to Xbox, so we got together and did just that. Jeff Henshaw, head of the Xbox Incubation team, sat down with Larry Larsen from Channel 9 to demo the app.

    We focused on making it easy to find photos and see them in a beautiful slide show. I recently added my whole archive of family photos to SkyDrive—about 40 GB. With this app, I was able to pull up pictures from a trip I took years ago to Cape Cod with my family that I had never bothered to dig through my computer to find.

    The second key experience we focused on was viewing shared photos and videos. For example, my sister took pictures of her husband’s birthday party in Ohio and shared them with me on SkyDrive. It was easy for her to share them, and they showed up on my TV automatically.

    The third experience we wanted to work great is what we dubbed “Snap and see.” Every photo I take with my Windows Phone gets automatically uploaded to SkyDrive. So, after a day of taking pictures, I can just turn on the TV and show them to my family. I don’t have to think about it. It just works great.

    Zoom, pan, enhance

    When building the app with the Xbox Incubation team, we added actions we thought were fun. If you have a really large image, like a picture of a sports stadium or city landscape, for example; you can zoom all the way in so it feels like you’re there. When you’re just thumbing through images, the experience is fast and fluid because we only download and show a (1080p) thumbnail. But if you are on a large image, you can use the right trigger on the Xbox One controller to zoom in, which downloads a higher resolution version. You can pan around the higher resolution version with the right stick.

    We also wanted to make the standard slide show more engaging. Instead of just a simple fade, your photos slide and zoom into view—commonly known as the Ken Burns effect.

    A personal cloud and entertainment experience exclusive to Xbox One

    The Xbox is an all-in-one entertainment device. To help you find content, the Xbox OneGuide is the single source to browse and find live TV, on-demand streaming video from apps, or even your own SkyDrive photos or videos. Apps can plug into the OneGuide platform and show content in the same way you would traditionally read a TV guide.

    SkyDrive automatically adds your Pictures folder and the Camera Roll as channels for quick access, but you can also add any folder from the SkyDrive app into the list of app channels. When you select a photo, you are taken directly into a slide show of the picture and the rest of the album. For example, if my friend was on vacation in Hawaii, he could share a photo album with me and I could add it to the OneGuide. Any new pictures he puts in his album will show up in my app channel. This is a much easier way to get updates than looking through the app.

    On the Xbox One, apps can be snapped side by side and run simultaneously, which is especially useful for SkyDrive. My favorite combo is snapping in Xbox Music to add a background track to my slide show.

    So what’s the big deal? Three things. First, the sites you love on the web do more than just work in Internet Explorer for Xbox One.     Xbox One features brand new support for gesture navigation, where you can use your hands to navigate with Kinect, as well as voice navigation support.

    Just say “Xbox, Select” when Internet Explorer is running, and you’ll see a list of the different voice commands that are available.   Probably the most popular commands are “Browse to” and “Click On.” Internet Explorer uses the latest Kinect speech technology to let you browse to your favorite sites and click on any link on a page – all without lifting a finger.   Xbox recognizes the most-visited websites in your locale, plus all of your favorite sites.  So if you’re looking for the news, you can just say “Browse to New York Times.”

    This list is tailored to you, and you can customize it as you’d like –even rename them to something more memorable.


    Just say “Xbox, Select” to see a list of voice commands.

    With “Click on,” you can activate any link on the page. Just say “Click on… <followed by whatever you want to click on>.”   For really long links, you can just say a few of the words.  Internet Explorer will still understand.  Plus, this is implemented in a web standards respectful way, so it will work with existing websites, with no extra work required by developers. Once on a page, you can use voice to scroll through the page, play back embedded media, view video full-screen, add to favorites and more.  Just say “Xbox, Select,” and you’ll see options as to what you can say.

    Gesture commands are pretty cool. They’re brand new for Internet Explorer on Xbox One.

    Just reach out, and grab the page.  Then move your hand up or down to pan around the page.  You can also pull the page toward you to zoom in or push it away to zoom out. Move your open hand over a link and press it to click on it.  And if the links are too close together on a page, the page will automatically zoom in so you can more easily choose one to press.

    A new iPhone 6 „Air“ concept emerged online and included Moto G’s new customizable feature.

    The new concept image is created by brightknight08. The iPhone 6 „Air“ features an all-new design with aiPad Air-like body and has customizable colours. There are new buttons as well, including a backlit proximity sensor in place of the home button and a silent button featured at the top that also functions as the iPhone’s power button. Moreover, brightknight08 packs a 4.6 inch Full HD screen display with 450 ppi in the iPhone 6 „Air“.

    The newly released Moto G also boasts customizable feature that allows users to change the colours of the handset. Moto G turned the heads of many consumers as the smartphone costs $179 for its 8GB variant.

    According to the latest rumours, the upcoming iPhone 6 features may include a solar wireless charging feature. One of the most common complaints on iPhones is fast depleting battery capacity. This feature aims to provide solution to the said problem.

    This feature is supported by a patent filed by Apple back in February. Apple secured a patent for the use of solar panels in portable devices. This integrated touch sensor and solar assembly would involve integrating social cells into a touch screen by using electrodes that can pull double duty as a solar cell and a touch sensor.

     

    Another rumoured feature that is making the rounds is the use of an extremely strong Sapphire glass for the smartphone’s screen display. Apple already used the technology on the cover of iPhone 5S and Touch ID home button. Sapphire glass is roughly 2.5 times stronger than the glass currently used in smartphones, many of which use Gorilla Glass from Corning.

    Rumours claimed iPhone 6 will come with larger screen display with a range of 4.8 to 6 inches. Many analysts predicted that Apple will finally pack a bigger screen on the iPhone 6. Also, the next Apple flagship smartphone may keep the iPhone 5S‘ 64-bit A7 processor, M7 graphics chip and the fingerprint sensor. The next generation of iPhone may also include features Near Field Communication and larger internal storage that were skipped in the current handset.

    iPhone 6 release date is still unconfirmed. There were speculations that the unveiling will happen early next year. However, reports claimed that Apple is adding more suppliers to increase the availability of iPhone 5S due to its strong demand.

To promote the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, the Moscow installed a train ticket vending machine that offers a free ticket in exchange for doing 30 full squats in a row. It’s placed right next to the normal machines and is watched over by an employee to make sure things don’t get out of hand.

    According to this new PlayStation 4 Teardown by iFixit, owners can expect their new consoles to be relatively easy to disassemble, reassemble and repair despite the fact that Sony warns against it…

    The thorough analysis from the website rates the PS4 an 8 out of 10 based on repairability, additionally showing that common hardware issues preventing the PS4 from outputting a video signal to the display is likely the cause of a bent or damaged HDMI port on the console.

    The PS4 breakdown also gives a closer look at the user-replaceable hard drive which can be replaced „with any off-the shelf drive you like“ as long as it is no thicker than 9.5 mm and no smaller than 160 GB.

    Deeper into the belly of the PS4 shows the system’s power supply is rated at an AC Input of 100 to 240 volts, meaning „you can take your game around the world with your trusty PS4 always at your side“ as long as you have a standard power socket adapter. The PS4 motherboard features integrated circuits including:
