Raiders of the Broken Planet Gameplay Review – PS4
Embark on an epic sci-fi adventure. Raiders of the Broken Planet is a brand-new take on the shooter genre.
Through its 4 vs 1 counter-operative campaign, you experience both sides of the story: Join the Raiders in their fight to free the legendary Broken Planet.., or switch sides and fight the Raiders on your own alongside the invading hordes!
Below you can find a short message from Enric Álvarez – Game Director at MercurySteam
“As you know, Raiders of the Broken Planet launches today and we, here at MercurySteam, feel it’s a game that needs (and deserves) to be played to be fully understood.
Given its Triple-A visual presentation and high production values, maybe it’s easy to forget that Raiders of the Broken Planet is an indie game. That not only means that we have made the game we truly wanted to develop, but also that we are marketing it in a way we feel is fair to our customers.
Raiders of the Broken Planet’s Prologue is free, and it will always be so. This is not a small demo, but two sizeable missions that feature all the in-game’s functionalities. We want the fans to taste the Raiders’ experience and then decide if they want to invest a little more on the game.
The first campaign, Alien Myths, is also released today, costing only 9.99€/$/£ for lots of new content, missions and characters. On top of this, we will continuously improve the gaming experience with the inclusion of special and seasonal events to keep the games fresh and challenging. For those who already made up their minds about playing this game fully, maybe during the various Beta stages we have held in the last few months, there is a Founders Pack including access to every campaign on launch, and additionally grants players immediate access to three new characters, Mikah, Dr. Kuzmann and Ginebra, 10 days prior to full release, without having to purchase them with in-game currency. All this for €39.99/$39.99/£39.99.
This is a long-term commitment we are making with our fans. There are three more campaigns in the works that will follow up shortly, and that can be played independently from each other. In that time, the game will evolve thanks to our users’ feedback, as we work hand to hand with them tweaking mechanics, balancing characters, and making Raiders of the Broken Planet the game we all really want it to become. In a years’ time, when the fourth campaign is released, this game will be an entirely different proposition, we are sure of that.
