The Dark Multiverse lurks beneath our universe, a vast wasteland of worlds that have failed, fallen, and died. Following a lead, Batman has inadvertently opened a gateway into the Dark Multiverse and disappeared. Now corrupted versions of Batman from these failed universes – the Dark Knights – have swept into our world with one purpose: to destroy this universe just as their own universes were destroyed.
Inspired by DC’s “Dark Nights: Metal” comic series, Metal: Part I is the latest event and episode for DC Universe Online on Xbox One. The episode is out now with a sequel episode, Metal: Part II, due out this December.
Get ready to fight your way through an increasingly disturbed and distorted Gotham City, Central City, and more. Earn new rewards, including gear suits inspired by Donna Troy and The Merciless. Unravel the mystery of the Dark Knights and their search for precious metals before it is too late.
Beyond Metal, Batman Day 2019 is coming up on Saturday, September 21. Even though the Caped Crusader is mysteriously missing in the Metal Part I story arc, we haven’t forgotten the real Dark Knight. From September 13 through September 30, log into DCUO on Xbox One to claim your free Batman Day t-shirt style.
New to DCUO or just looking to dive back in? We’ve got you covered! You can download DCUO for free from the Microsoft Store on Xbox One (Xbox Live Gold subscription required). Once you start the game, choose your morality and mentor, then your power, weapon, and movement to use in battle. After that go ahead and create and customize your unique character, and then start your adventures in the iconic DC Universe! Once you reach Level 15+, you can play the all-new Metal Part I event!
Metal Part I is available on Xbox One starting September 12. The episode is free to access for members or available for purchase in the in-game marketplace. The event portion will be available free to all Xbox One players level 15 and above until our next episode releases.
