After starting development on Manifold Garden almost eight years ago, we’re happy to announce that the game is coming to Xbox One. Even better, it’s out now!

Manifold Garden is a game that takes place in an Escher-esque world of impossible architecture. The world repeats infinitely in every direction, so falling from the bottom floor of a skyscraper has you landing on its roof. You travel down in order to land above, so to speak. You can change the direction of gravity to solve puzzles, walk through hallways that bend space, connect to different worlds, and grow trees to restore life to the world.

The Xbox One version of the game includes all of the updates since launch, including the new photo mode, alternate endings and secrets, and general game improvements. We’re so excited about the photo mode that we took a bunch of our favorite shots from the game and made them the Achievement artwork on Xbox! You can use them to decorate your home screen, and they’re just beautiful.

Here are a couple that didn’t make the cut for achievement artwork, but we still love. As a reminder, these are captured in the in-game photo mode with just a few simple button presses:

Players with an Xbox One X will be able to play the game with higher draw distance, sharper visuals, and a higher resolution. We’re immensely proud of how Manifold Garden looks and plays on all Xbox One devices, but the Xbox One X version of the game is the best-looking console version and it truly shines on a 4K TV.

When I started creating Manifold Garden back in November 2012, I thought it would just be a small project to learn the basics of game development. At the time, I predicted it would take no more than 3 months. Here we are, almost 8 years later. Needless to say, it’s been quite a journey. Manifold Garden today is far better and bigger than I had originally dreamed, and I couldn’t have done it without a dedicated team. To everyone who has supported development, I am eternally grateful.
