Hoang Tran, also known online as Wax Nostalgic, is an artist that specializes in taking regular Crayola crayons and transforming them into pop culture icons. He told online webzine Lost at E Minor that he was inspired to make these after seeing the artwork of Diem Chau. Each character that you see here can take from 15-minutes to a few hours to carve, depending on if it’s his first attempt or not.
