    Wenn die Bend Studios die virtuelle Welt zum Teufel schicken, dann gleich richtig und in ihrem kommenden Action-Survival-Adventure Days Gone geht es mitten rein in die biologische Apokalypse.

    Falls ihr den Titel noch nicht am Radar hattet, solltet ihr euch ein paar Minuten Zeit nehmen, denn unter der Oberfläche wartet ein Survival-Game mit vielen Schichten und allerlei Gefahren, die euch an den Kragen wollen!

    Ein Retter widerwillen

    Biker, Ehemann, Überlebenskünstler: Deacon St. John ist mit Sicherheit nicht der Standardkandidat, den wir sonst aus solchen Games gewohnt sind. Allerdings hält diese ungewöhnliche Mischung auch eine Vielschichtigkeit des Charakters parat, die über den Verlauf des Spiels zu überraschen weiß.

It’s hard to tell based on the trailers how much tech is used in this production, but it appears that attendees have a limited amount of digital ammo in their prop guns and their visors add some element of augmented reality to the already decorative environments.

    You read that right, the University of California Irvine is now offering an 8-week zombie survival course, based around The Walking Dead, that actually counts for college credit.

    Four faculty members from the University of California, Irvine will take you on an inter-disciplinary academic journey deep into the world of AMC’s The Walking Dead, exploring the following topics:

    Maslow’s hierarchy of needs–is survival just about being alive?; Social order and structures–from the farm and the prison to Woodbury; Social identity, roles, and stereotyping–as shown through leaders like Rick and the Governor.

    The role of public health in society–from the CDC to local community organizations; The spread of infectious disease and population modeling–swarm! The role of energy and momentum in damage control–how can you best protect yourself?

    Nutrition in a post-apocalyptic world–are squirrels really good for you? Managing stress in disaster situations–what’s the long-term effect of always sleeping with one eye open?
