Discord Voice – Soundboard Audio
Xbox players who have joined Discord Voice will now be able to hear soundboard audio from others in the channel or call. A volume slider for soundboard audio can be found in the Discord Voice options in the Guide. At this time, you cannot trigger soundboard audio from the console.

We have exciting news! Beta users can expect something new coming to their Xbox Update Preview.
Xbox Wireless Controllers
We’re releasing a new version of the Xbox Wireless Controller firmware today which includes improvements to unexpected disconnections when using a wired headset.
If your controller needs an update, you will be prompted to install it once the controller is powered on and connects to your console. You can also open the Xbox Accessories App to install the update manually if you missed or dismissed the prompt.

Audio
Some users have reported experiencing intermittent audio issues across the dashboard, games, and apps.
Troubleshooting: If you do experience issues, please confirm your TV and all other equipment have the latest firmware installed. If you are unsure, you may need to contact the manufacturer for assistance. You can also find additional troubleshooting tips here: Troubleshoot audio on your Xbox console.
Feedback: If you continue to experience issues after applying the latest firmware and troubleshooting further, please submit feedback via Report a Problem when you are experiencing the issue. Use the “Reproduce with advanced diagnostics” option, then select the category “Console experiences” and “Console Audio Output Issues”.
Note: Be sure to include as much information as possible about the issue, when it started, your setup, troubleshooting you have completed, and any additional information that will help us reproduce the issue.
Networking
We are investigating reports of an issue where the console may not connect to the network immediately on boot. If you experience this, be sure to report the issue via Report a Problem as soon as you’re able.
Workaround: Wait a minute or two for the connection to establish. If your console still hasn’t connected, restart your Xbox from the Power Center or the guide then file feedback with Report a Problem. Learn more about restarting here: How to restart or power cycle your Xbox console.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess
Dieses mystische Singleplayer-Action-Strategiespiel ist das neueste Franchise von Capcom. Sein einzigartiges Setting ist surreal und manchmal psychedelisch, voller wilder Gegner*innen-Designs und kinetischer Aktionen mit Partikeleffekten. Dragon’s Dogma 2
Regisseur Hideaki Itsuno und Produzent Yoshiaki Hirabayashi waren persönlich anwesend, um aufregende Neuigkeiten zur Veröffentlichung ihres kommenden Titels Dragon’s Dogma 2 zu verkünden. Spieler*innen können sich dabei mit bis zu drei KI-gesteuerten „Pawn“-Charakteren verbünden. Die Entscheidungen, die sie im Spielverlauf treffen, beeinflussen nicht nur die Beziehungen zwischen ihren eigenen Arisen und anderen Charakteren, sondern auch die Interaktionen und Dynamiken zwischen diesen KI-gesteuerten Figuren. Die Herangehensweise an Questziele und die Interaktionen mit anderen Charakteren bestimmen diese Systeme maßgeblich. Teilweise hängt dies auch von den Fähigkeiten der Spieler*innen ab, kreative Lösungen für Konfliktsituationen zu finden (z. B. durch Bestechung, Fälschung von Gegenständen). In einer Welt mit über tausend einzigartigen Charakteren haben die Entscheidungen der Spieler*innen dramatische Auswirkungen auf die zwischenmenschlichen Beziehungen unter ihnen.
Außerdem stellten Itsuno und Hirabayashi das Tool zum Erstellen und Speichern von Charakteren für Dragon’s Dogma 2vor. Das Tool, das ab sofort kostenlos im Xbox Store heruntergeladen werden kann, bietet Spieler*innen die Möglichkeit, bis zu fünf einzigartigen Designs für ihre Arisen- und Main Pawn-Charaktere zu erstellen, die sofort in das komplette Spiel übertragen werden, wenn Dragon’s Dogma 2 am 22. März für Xbox Series X|S erscheint − das Spiel kann derzeit im Xbox Store vorbestellt werden. Das Unternehmen plant, in naher Zukunft auch offizielle Capcom Support Pawns zu veröffentlichen, die von renommierten Content Creator*innen erstellt werden.
Exoprimal
Exoprimal, der beliebte Third-Person-Dinosaurier-Shooter von Capcom, bekommt nächsten Monat ein neues Update. Das Title Update 4 hat es in sich: Es enthält zwei neue Spielmodi und sechs zusätzliche Exosuit-Beta-Varianten, mit denen sich die Spieler*innen ausrüsten können. In der kommenden Saison wird es außerdem ein unerwartetes, aber willkommenes Mega Man-Crossover geben, mit einem neuen Bosskampf und einer Reihe von Kosmetika im Mega Man-Stil.
Die neuen Modi klingen verlockend: „Time Loop Rebellion“ ist eine Koop-Herausforderung, bei der zehn Spieler*innen gegen den Endboss, den Behemoth, in einer erweiterten, noch furchterregenderen Version antreten. Die Spieler*innen können dabei neue Rewards verdienen, darunter (aber nicht nur) goldene Exosuit-Skins der „ersten Klasse“. Im neuen Modus “Custom Match” können die Spieler*innen ihre eigenen Lobbys erstellen und ihre Karten und Missionsart(en) à la carte auswählen. Diese benutzerdefinierten Räume können plattformübergreifend geteilt werden, wodurch sich die Möglichkeiten für kooperatives Spielen erweitert. Es gibt sogar eine neue Einstellung namens „Quick Brawl”, mit der Exofighter*innen direkt in ihre Lieblingsmissionen, einschließlich PvP-Missionen, einsteigen können.

Street Fighter 6

Kampagnenstart auf der gamescom LAN
Die Kampagne startet pünktlich zu Deutschlands erster gamescom LAN-Party, die vom 15. bis 17. März 2024 in Köln stattfindet. I was mostly working with Jon with regard to collecting feedback from all of the Xbox Insiders and surfacing that to our engineering team. I also partnered with Austin to optimize the survey / reporting experiences all up.
I did that for around three years before I was offered a position on the Customer Support team. So, I transferred over there and worked on Xbox Support for a while. After the pandemic—and through an org shift—I actually ended up back on the Xbox Insider team. Now, I support hardware readiness on devices and accessories for both first- and third-party teams. We also collect tons of data to help with engineering.
Broken into two eagerly anticipated showcase events, Capcom Highlights showcased what the game publisher has been busy cooking up for Xbox fans. The results look compelling across the board — particularly for fans of action-adventure titles Capcom has become famous for — with new details for Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, Dragon’s Dogma 2, Exoprimal, and Street Fighter 6.
Capcom Highlights, for those who don’t know, is a worldwide online event that is different from Capcom Showcase, where they announce new details about their upcoming games, and deliver the latest news from Capcom to Xbox fans across the globe.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess
This single-player, mystical action-strategy game is Capcom’s newest franchise. Its unique setting is surreal and at times psychedelic, full of wild enemy designs and kinetic, particle effect-filled actions. The game is set on a cursed mountain called Mt. Kafuku, where players will take the role of Soh with the goal of cleansing the mountain of corruption and restoring peace to the villages.
Rendered with beautifully modulated lighting effects, dynamic day and night cycles are essential to the experience. During the light of day, Soh joins forces with the rescued villagers to strategize and prepare for impending battles; come nightfall, Soh, along with the Maiden Yoshiro and the villagers, confront the embodiment of defilement on Mt. Kafuku, the Seethe. Soh wields a sword and fights the Seethe in a style reminiscent of a Shinto dance known as Kagura, as well as unleash the immense power within the sword’s Tsuba guards. The player must also constantly adapt to dynamic battle conditions, and take advantage of the different villager roles in order to protect the Maiden and cleanse the mountain of its curse: woodcutters, archers and ascetics are at the ready, altogether providing a nice combination of support abilities and raw strength and skill. Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is powered by Capcom’s acclaimed RE Engine and will be available day one with Xbox Game Pass for console, PC, and Cloud, as well as on Xbox Series X|S and Windows.
Dragon’s Dogma 2
Director Hideaki Itsuno and Producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi were on hand to explain some exciting announcements surrounding the release of their upcoming title, Dragon’s Dogma 2. Players will be able to party up with as many as three AI-driven “Pawn” characters; the decisions the player makes throughout the game will impact the relationships between their own Arisen and other characters, as well as the interactions and dynamics between those AI characters. How one tackles quest objectives and interactions with other characters is what drives these systems, and sometimes hinges on the player’s ability to employ creative solutions to avoid physical altercations (think: bribery, counterfeiting objects, etc). In a world comprised of over 1000 unique characters, the player’s choices will have a dramatic ripple effect on the interpersonal dynamics among them.
Exoprimal is Capcom’s popular third-personal dinosaur shooter, and a new update — dubbed Title Update 4 — is coming next month. This newest free content drop is a big one, including two new game modes and six additional Exosuit Beta variants for players to equip. The coming season will also include an unexpected but welcome Mega Man crossover, complete with a new boss battle and a grip of Mega Man-themed cosmetics.
The new modes sound Intriguing for sure: “Time Loop Rebellion” is a co-op challenge, where ten players take on the game’s final boss, the Behemoth, in an expanded, even more fearsome form. Players can earn new rewards, including (but not limited to) golden “first class” Exosuit skins. The other new mode, dubbed simply “Custom Match,” lets players create their own lobbies and select their map and mission type(s), à la carte. These custom rooms can be shared cross-platform, thereby expanding the opportunities for cooperative hijinks. There’s even a new setting thrown in for good measure, called “Quick Brawl”; here, Exofighters can jump straight into their favorite final missions, including the more PvP-focused varieties.
As mentioned, six brand new Beta variant Exosuits will be available in the update as well, boosting the total to thirty. And you’ll be suiting up soon, as Exoprimal Title Update 4 is slated to drop on April 17th.
Street Fighter 6
Last but not least, Capcom unveiled a little something to excite the Street Fighter heads. Shown off in the form of a blistering teaser trailer, the publisher announced that fan-favorite demon Akuma will be coming to its top-tier fighting game, Street Fighter 6. The legendary Akuma will be available in Battle Hub, Fighting Ground, as well as World Tour mode, with new missions and a unique area to boot. While no specific release date was given, Capcom says he’s on track to release sometime this Spring.

Exoprimal is an online, team-based action game that pits humanity’s cutting-edge exosuit technology against history’s most ferocious beasts – dinosaurs. Exosuits are grouped into different roles, and players will pilot these exosuits to hold firm against overwhelming dinosaur swarms in online-only, team-based action game modes.
Dino Survival, the main game mode, sees two teams of five players compete in a variety of PvE and PvP missions.
Players will be transported to the scene of the latest dinosaur outbreak and follow Leviathan’s guidance to complete objectives. The team that completes the mission first will emerge victorious. Whether players are engaging the other team directly, or fighting alongside them against a common enemy, the aim is to accomplish objectives as quickly as possible. Missions vary depending on player skill and other factors, meaning no two matches will unfold the same way.
I saw the original “Dune” movie in 1984; I didn’t know anything about “Dune” at the time, and to be honest, afterwards I didn’t really understand what I’d just seen. But it piqued my interest enough that I read the book and fell in love with Frank Herbert’s tale of grand conflict, interwoven plots and prophecies, and – of course! – massive sand worms.
Forty years later, with a new “Dune” film in theaters from Denis Villeneuve and Legendary Entertainment, tabletop strategy gamers around the world have given Dire Wolf’s board game, Dune: Imperium, a tremendous reception since its release, with numerous awards and recognitions. And now we’re expanding the conflict on Arrakis to a whole new world of gamers in a crossplay digital adaptation on Xbox.
Dune: Imperium combines deck-building and worker placement to deliver a highly thematic board game experience, where leaders plot and scheme to maneuver their pieces into appropriate positions in a complex world of intrigue. Our game welcomes each player to portray a leader of a Great House of the Landsraad, fighting over control of Arrakis and the spice trade.
Each player is not only waging a land war for precious territory and resources, however. They must also court the key pillars of the Imperium – the Emperor, the Landsraad Council, the Spacing Guild, the Bene Gesserit, CHOAM, even the Fremen – all NPC factions offering strategic advantages to any House who earns their favor. In one game, you might play as Duke Leto Atreides and befriend the Fremen and make an alliance with the Spacing Guild. In another, you might be Baron Harkonnen, exploiting your opponent’s weaknesses with the Bene Gesserit’s secrets and schemes, while tying your destiny to the Emperor.
We take a “what if?” approach to gameplay, staying true to what each faction should feel like within the context of the game, but allowing players to divert from the specific political alliances and events in the book allowing a new, yet authentic, “Dune”narrative to emerge in every playthrough.
This “what if” approach goes even further. In the book, one of the reasons that Duke Leto becomes a target is that the Atreides family has attracted some of the best allies in the Imperium. Thufir Hawat is a celebrated Mentat, Gurney Halleck is an inspirational military leader, while Duncan Idaho is an unrivaled swordsmaster. In Dune: Imperium, all of these powerful figures who loyally served House Atreides in the books are now available to any House to recruit. What if the Beast Rabban rose to power with Duncan at his side? Or if House Richese aligned with Lady Jessica? You get the idea.
Finally, the story of “Dune” is not only about politics. Why would you be recruiting swordmasters and military geniuses if there weren’t wars to be waged? So, we obviously had to inject a healthy dose of military conflict into the game. Every round, there is a conflict that players can engage with, a skirmish or battle to be won. You’ll have to decide whether to use your cards to send your agents into battle or toward other endeavors. Keeping a watchful eye on your opponents is key; if a battle is heating up between two of your rivals, perhaps it’s better to sit it out and instead muster some troops for future conflicts. Much like the films, we’ve made a game where the fate of the Imperium is determined by the choices you make. What strings will you pull? Who will you trust or betray? How much will you claim, destroy, or sacrifice? With every card comes another choice and challenge that takes the story in a new direction, making each game an epic and memorable adventure.

For The Warp invites gamers to navigate through a procedurally generated galaxy, each playthrough offering a unique and unpredictable experience. Set in a pixelated universe, the game’s charming retro aesthetic belies the depth of its strategic gameplay.
Customize Your Run
Start your run with one of seven ships, each with its unique deck, basic stats and equipment slots. Each nudges you into a different play style, that you can follow or ignore, the choice is up to you! Buy, find and trade equipment, allowing you to upgrade your spacecraft with more fire-power, durability or special traits!
So Many Cards…
The game has 120 cards and 34 equipment components, which you can find mix and match, full of synergies and gameplay opportunities. You can get them after clearing a level, during procedural generated events, or just by scavenging space waste, so remember to explore each system thoroughly.
Tips to Help You Succeed
The shields are preserved between turns, take advantage of this. Alternate between attacking and setting up shields.
Never underestimate the power of controlling your enemy’s intent! With cards that change the enemy’s intent you can stop them from attacking!
You can gain fuel after each combat or purchase it on space stations. So, feel free to explore around the entire map.
Don’t be afraid of scrapping cards that aren’t helping your current build.
Follow those beacons! In them you can find shortcuts, new cards and equipment and even entirely new systems!
Your HP is only refilled when you change systems, so manage it wisely.
The cards and equipment are shared between all ships, only the starter deck is different for each one.

EA Sports recently chatted with BWT Alpine F1 Team Chief Engineer Pierre Genon to learn more about what it takes to bring a Formula 1 car to F1 24.

A new Formula 1 season is upon us, and the Red Bull Racing Team already looks poised to repeat (again) with their number one driver Max Verstappen continuing to look untouchable.
But Formula 1 is much more than just those who take the podium on race day. It’s a spectacle enjoyed by the world over that sees 20 of the greatest drivers behind the wheels of some of the most technologically advanced racing vehicles ever created, where mere seconds and inches are the only things separating them from one another. And no game captures that better right now that the fantastic EA Sports F1 series.
But what goes into bringing one of those advanced racing vehicles into a high-octane racing game like F1 24? For those answers, EA Sports recently chatted with BWT Alpine F1 Team Chief Engineer Pierre Genon to learn more about what it takes to bring a Formula 1 car to F1 24, how aerodynamics is incorporated into the game, and the challenge of staying up to date on the latest car specifications and regulations.
EA Sports: What is it like working with EA Sports F1 to bring your car to the virtual world?
BWT Alpine F1 Team Chief Engineer Pierre Genon: It’s pretty seamless from start to finish. A credit really to the skill of the people digitalizing the assets. We have to produce artwork to create all the assets in reality for the team. So, we repurpose and share these same assets with EA Sports to enable them to create digital replicas of the real thing.
EA Sports: What is the first track you want to try the A524 on EA Sports F1 24?
Pierre Genon: The drivers don’t need to worry about me taking their seat! Australia historically was the first track of the season and that was always my nemesis. It’s the track I have raced at the most. Spa is probably my favourite – possibly because I know it so well.
EA Sports: Tracks like Spa that mix high speed straights with complex technical corners are some of the most challenging in EA Sports F1 to find a perfect car setup. How do you approach that same challenge and compromise in real life?
Pierre Genon: We always start from simulation, which is pretty good these days at guiding you to the fastest laptime. However, what is harder to simulate virtually is the ability to overtake other cars or keep them behind. For that, although we are developing simulation tools, we still use subjective judgement and the drivers in particular can have their views on the best compromise for “racing” or following other cars.
EA Sports: What data is given to EA Sports to ensure your cars are accurately represented in-game?
Pierre Genon: We provide the latest aero release to EA Sports to use in the game. It’s highly confidential material which is entrusted to them, however the model isn’t always exactly the same as the one that goes out on track for the first race of the season.
EA Sports: How do you incorporate aerodynamics and other technical aspects into the car’s design and functionality?
Pierre Genon: Aerodynamics are a major factor in the performance of a Formula 1 car that it is the other way around. We have to integrate “inconvenient” mechanical components in the car’s design without getting too far away from the ideal aerodynamic concepts.
EA Sports: How much collaboration was there with the team drivers and mechanics in the engineering process?
Pierre Genon: We have various mechanisms to ensure that the feedback from mechanics is considered in the design of future cars. Obviously within reason, as it’s more important to have a faster car than one where maintenance is easy. Drivers collaborate in the engineering process mainly by providing feedback as to how the car is behaving from their perspective and what traits of the handling prevents them from pushing harder. High quality driver feedback is preferred to engineering suggestions, which are best left to the engineers.
EA Sports: How do you adapt to engineering changes due to changes in car specifications or regulations?
Pierre Genon: With consistent regulations there is a relatively slower pace of development of engineering concepts, but rather a constant process of refinement. Major regulation changes, such as in 2022 or soon in 2026, have far more impact and the first key challenge is usually to understand which aspect of the performance of the car will become relatively more or less important, so that we put our resource in the correct areas.
EA Sports: What is your favorite part of the engineering process and why?
Pierre Genon: The above, getting to understand a new set of technical regulations and the challenges they pose.
EA Sports: How does it feel to know the car you have been working on is in EA Sports F1?
Pierre Genon It makes me very proud on behalf of my team.
