    Hallo PlayStation Nation! Wir hoffen, euch geht es gut und ihr passt da draußen auf euch auf. Wir möchten uns für all eure Unterstützung von Street Fighter V im Laufe der Jahre bedanken. Heute stellen wir euch mit dem „Street Fighter V Sommer-Update“die neusten Inhalte der Street Fighter V: Champion Edition vor! 

    Seid dabei, wenn uns SFV Director Nakayama-san, SFV Producer Matsumoto-san und einige Ehrengäste Neuigkeiten über Street Fighter V verraten! 

    Ihr habt alle gespannt auf Infos zu neuen Inhalten für Street Fighter V: Champion Edition gewartet. Jetzt hat das Warten endlich ein Ende. Wir hoffen, ihr seid alle genauso begeistert wie wir über diese Neuzugänge! Nachdem ihr nun das Video gesehen habt, lasst uns gemeinsam mit dem Entwicklerteam von SFV die heute enthüllten Charaktere genauer ansehen! 

    Dan

    Yahoo! Der Meister des Saikyo-Kampfstils kehrt zurück zu Street Fighter V: Dan Hibiki! Dans Anfänge gehen bis zu Street Fighter Alpha zurück, wo er als versteckte Figur vorkam. Seitdem hatte er über die Jahre hinweg mehrere Auftritte in anderen Street Fighter- und Capcom-Titeln. Als letztes tauchte er in Street Fighter IV auf. Aber er wird in Street Fighter V einige neue Tricks auf Lager haben. 

    Street Fighter V Sommer-Update: Neue Charaktere, eSports-News und mehr

    Vielleicht haben seine einzigartigen Streiche und Sticheleien ja etwas mit seinem V-Skill oder V-Trigger zu tun? Das Entwicklerteam von SFV verrät mehr über Dan: 

    Dan hatte schon immer einen dominierenden und einzigartigen Kampfstil mit dem „Saikyo-ryu“-Stil und seinem Markenzeichen „Taunt“. Er ist auch bekannt für sein Bestreben, seinen Vater Gou Hibiki zu rächen, der von Sagat besiegt wurde. Vielleicht habt ihr seine Schwester Yuriko Hibiki im In-Game-Store entdeckt!

    Dans neuer Spezial-Move ist „Danretsuken“, ein Angriff mit mehreren Faustschlägen, der erstmals als einer von Dans Moves im Omega-Modus von Ultra Street Fighter IV erschien. Und schließlich hat sich Dans „Taunt“ weiterentwickelt und ist nun im Kampf wesentlich nützlicher!

    Rose

    Als klassischer Favorit kehrt Rose triumphal aus Street Fighter IV und der Street Fighter Alpha-Serie zurück. 

    Rose hatte mehrere Auftritte in Street Fighter V – vor allem in der Geschichte von Menat. Und jetzt ist sie endlich ab Frühjahr 2021 in SFV spielbar! Hier einige Informationen zu Rose vom Entwicklerteam von SFV:  

    Rose, eine Wahrsagerin, die in Genua, Italien, arbeitet, kann ihre einzigartige Soul Power nutzen. Sie ist außerdem die Meisterin und Lehrerin von Menat. Rose stammt ursprünglich aus der Street Fighter Alpha-Serie und hat eine geheimnisvolle Verbindung zu M. Bison.

    Ihr Kampfstil wurde ursprünglich mit Angriffen entwickelt, die Wurfgeschosse und Luftangriffe abwehren. Ihr dürft gespannt sein, wie sie sich in SFV verändert hat, sobald sie im Spiel auftaucht! Wir erinnern uns auch, dass der Soul Satellite in Street Fighter IV ziemlich stark war, also schaut auch für mehr Infos dazu vorbei!

    Oro

    Oro, der geheimnisvolle Einsiedler mit übermenschlichen Kräften, feiert nächsten Sommer in Street Fighter V sein lang erwartetes Comeback! Aber eigentlich ist er schon seit längerer Zeit dabei, oder? Habt ihr Oros Auftritte in Street Fighter V mitbekommen? Kurzer Hinweis vom SFV-Entwicklerteam: Oro ist über 130 Jahre alt und offenbar nennt er Dhalsim „Junge“.

    Oro erschien ursprünglich als brandneuer Charakter in Street Fighter III: New Generation und wurde schnell zu einer der beliebtesten Figuren in der Fangemeinde. Oros Kampfstil ist wohl einer der unkonventionellsten in der Geschichte von Street Fighter. Mit nur einem Arm führt er verschiedene unorthodoxe Angriffe aus, darunter Bälle aus Licht und schwebende Felsen, die ihn wie Schilde umkreisen. In dieser Skizze kann man zwar sehen, wie er beide Arme ausgestreckt hat, aber einer davon hält … eine Schildkröte! Tatsächlich gehört das zu Oros Kampfstil. Er fordert sich selbst heraus, die Schildkröte während des Kampfes in der Hand zu balancieren. Wie wirkt sich das auf seine Moves in Street Fighter V aus? Wir werden es bald herausfinden!

    Akira

    Seid ihr überrascht? Wir freuen uns, euch den vierten Charakter in Season V vorstellen zu dürfen: Akira Kazuma aus der Rival Schools-Serie! Dies wird Akiras erster Auftritt in einem Street Fighter-Spiel sein, aber es ist nicht ihr erster Streifzug gegen die Street Fighter-Mannschaft. Akira hat bereits gegen Sakura gekämpft, die in Rival Schools: United by Fate als Gastfigur erschien. Ein kurzer Hinweis vom SFV-Entwicklerteam:

    Derzeit entwickeln wir Akira, um den originellen Stil von Rival School zu nutzen und neue Spielmöglichkeiten zu integrieren. Wir können es kaum erwarten, euch mehr über die Weiterentwicklung von Akiras Spielstil in Street Fighter V zu verraten! 

    Zusätzlich zu den vier Figuren, die wir heute angekündigt haben, gibt es noch einen letzten Charakter, der zur Starbesetzung von SFV hinzukommt. Ihr werdet mehr erfahren, sobald die Veröffentlichung dieses Charakters im Herbst 2021 näher rückt!

    Street Fighter V: Champion Edition and New Character Seth Available Now on PS4

    Hello there PlayStation Nation and Happy Valentine’s Day! It’s a time of love and stealing hearts, or in Seth’s case, stealing moves! We’re super excited about the release of new character Seth and Street Fighter V: Champion Edition! If you’ve been waiting to jump into Street Fighter V, now is the time! Champion Edition includes all 40 characters, 34 stages, over 200 costumes and much much more!

    Among the 40 characters included in Street Fighter V: Champion Edition is the returning S.I.N. boss character from Street Fighter IV, Seth. Seth arrives in SFV:CE with a different look than the previous iteration. Seth’s consciousness takes on the body of Doll Unit Zero and is equipped with a new set of moves, in addition to some “borrowed” moves from the other fighters featured in this all-new version of the game.

    With Seth’s new look comes a set of new moves in Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, including the “Hecatoncheires” where Seth moves forward and attacks with a flurry of punches. Using “Cruel Disaster” will have Seth execute a perfectly graceful spin into a swift but powerful kick.

    Of course, one of the more interesting aspects of Seth is being able to copy moves from opponents. Seth’s V-Skill I “Tanden Engine” will draw in the opponent, and the all-new follow-up move “Tanden Install” will absorb their data. Here you can see Seth stealing Gill’s “Moonsault Knee Drop.” You’ll also notice Seth’s body changes form when utilizing moves from various characters, which may change Seth’s looks briefly. If Seth steals moves from bigger characters, Seth also grows to their size when using their attacks.

    Seth didn’t always look this way, however. For some background information on the development of Seth’s design in Street Fighter V: Champion Edition, we have the Chief Director of Street Fighter V, Takayuki Nakayama, with some behind the scenes images and details about how the current Seth came to be.

    About Seth

    Seth was the boss character of the Street Fighter IV series. As the CEO of S.I.N. (Weapons Division of Shadaloo) and a spare body for M. Bison, Seth sought power by studying the philosophy of human nature. 27 bodies of Seth were initially confirmed, but the Seth we see in Street Fighter V: Champion Edition is different from them.

    In Champion Edition, Seth is found in the ruins of the S.I.N. lab and wakes up from the Tanden Engine reacting to Psycho Power, and also due to Juri’s actions.

    Notes from the Development Team

    Seth is an interesting character as the playstyle differs not only based on which V-Skill/Trigger you choose but, as you now know, Seth’s V-Skill I will be different based on your opponent. So the way you plan your actions and combos may switch per match up. Please try Seth out and find your favorite playstyles for this new character!

    Behind the Scenes Designs

    At first, we started the design with an “antique/old-fashioned” concept, as the goal was to make the “First” Seth. We explored the idea of Seth’s arm and leg transforming like we see in Steampunk movies and books.

    We were also looking into a “Gen’s Apprentice” character design at the time, so we made a hybrid of that and Seth. This concept has fans on the back to cool down during battle and prevent overheating issues.

    This concept is a human-like being found by some organization. The idea was that Seth would “continue evolving” by absorbing the DNA of others.

    This design was inspired from fierce Buddhist statues like Kongo Rikishi / Nio statues. Small Tanden Engines are implemented to work as spherical joints.

    This was the design where we mixed the Street Fighter IV Seth and “Gen’s Apprentice” designs. From here, the design direction started to shift toward to what we see in Street Fighter V.

    This is the semi-final design. When the epidermis expands, the power flow from the Tanden Engine becomes visible. Seth’s hair knot is finalized at this point.

    Final Comments from the Development Team

    We had the idea of completing the group of the legacy boss characters this season.

    Sagat: Stoic king that confronts his inner strength
    M. Bison: Head of Shadaloo who is also a natural born fighter
    Gill: God-like figure who is beyond mankind
    G: Cosmic-like power that we have so little knowledge of
    And finally…
    Seth: “King of Chaos” who craves all fighters’ skills.

    And there you have it! A little bit of trivia about Seth’s design from the Chief Director Takayuki Nakayama himself! While Seth maintains some moves mimicking other fighters, like in Street Fighter IV, having a completely new moveset while doing so makes Seth feel familiar and fresh at the same time. In addition, Seth will be able to steal moves from all 40 characters, meaning Seth can even steal from another Seth! Have you found out what that move is yet?

This action-packed new version was just announced for PlayStation 4 and includes all content (excluding Fighting Chance costumes, brand collaboration costumes and Capcom Pro Tour DLC) from both the original release and Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition. It also includes each character, stage and costume that released after Arcade Edition and that will release with Champion Edition. With 40 characters, 34 stages and over 200 costumes, Champion Edition is the most robust version of Street Fighter V yet!

    Street Fighter V: Champion Edition will be available physically and digitally on PS4 for MSRP $29.99 beginning on February 14, 2020. Anyone who pre-orders Champion Edition on PS4 in North America (other territories may vary) will receive a static theme (digital purchase only) and a fierce-looking new costume color for each character. For current owners of any version of Street Fighter V, an Upgrade Kit for MSRP $24.99 grants you instant access to all available Champion Edition content as it becomes available leading up to the launch date.

    As always, all game mode additions and balance updates are free for owners of any Street Fighter V version.     Gill

All of his heavy normal attacks, and all but one of his special moves, have an elemental alignment. When Gill throws out a fierce punch, it’ll be engulfed in flames, and when he lets fly with a standing roundhouse, it’ll hit opponents with a frozen force. Gill is ready to reveal himself to the world as part of Street Fighter V: Champion Edition on February 14, 2020, or he can be acquired separately starting in December for MSRP $5.99 or 100,000 Fight Money.
