    Ringing in the New Year just got a little sweeter – Celebrate the arrival of FIFA 21 FUT tournaments on PlayStation 4 with seven-stacked days of tournaments and prizes! From December 26 to January 1, participate in daily competitions for a chance to finish the year strong and make a name for yourself.

    This is your chance to celebrate the New Year with your Ultimate team and win big.

    The tournaments are open to all eligible participants* in the U.S., Canada, and across Europe and South America. The more you participate during the FUT New Year Kick Off daily matches, the greater rewards you can get! Each day of tournaments will have a grand prize pool of more than 250,000 FIFA points up for grabs.

    Get ready to rule the ring – Street Fighter V Tournaments are being hosted on PlayStation 4! This is your chance to compete as your favorite fighter with the chance to win unique prizes.*

    The tournament is open to all eligible participants in the U.S. and Canada, and there are multiple opportunities to qualify for the finals where winners of the monthly finals could win a share of the $1,000 prize pool, as well as unique prizes that are unavailable anywhere else.

    • The Street Fighter V PS4 Tournaments will run from September 4 – October 3 2020.
    • Open Qualifiers are from September 4 – October 3 in a Swiss tournament format. The top 64 finishers per Open Qualifier will progress to the next stage.
    • The Finals will be held on October 3 in a Group Stage tournament format, where the winners of each Final will face the three rival winners of the other Final rounds.

    Don’t have Street Fighter V on PS4 yet? No problem – the game will be included as part of the PlayStation Plus monthly games lineup for September 2020. Street Fighter V will be available for PS Plus members to download from September 1 until October 5.

    MLB The Show 20 PS4 Tournaments: Summer Circuit begins June 20

    So many of you have taken to the mound in MLB The Show 20 since March, and now it’s time to apply all those hours of practice to the PS4 Tournaments: Summer Circuit in the U.S. and Canada. This tournament offers five open qualifiers ahead of the final, giving fans plenty of chances to compete to become the best. 

    The tournament is open to all eligible participants*, and there are multiple opportunities to qualify for the finals and earn a shot at $25,000 USD in total prizing, as well as weekly digital rewards and MLB merch packages.

    • The first qualifier begins June 20, and the last one is August 1.
    • Participants will compete in a Swiss tournament system through the qualifier rounds. The Top 8 finishers in each weekly tournament qualify directly for the final.
    • The Grand Final will be a seeded bracket determined by season-wide points and finishes throughout the tournament.

    Since introducing PlayStation 4 Tournaments: Challenger Series last summer, we’ve seen an amazing response from fans competing for prizes and glory. Today, we are excited to announce that we will be offering a new online series based on your feedback, which features weekly qualifiers, rewards for participating in a tournament, and chances to win result-based prizes among your favorite titles.

    We’re kicking off on June 1 with seven titles: Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, EA Sports FIFA 20, Mortal Kombat 11, Warface, NBA 2K20, SoulCalibur VI, and BlazBlue Cross Tag Battle. These tournaments are open to all eligible participants*, so challenge yourself every month for a chance at winning unique prizes. Furthermore, top players who play in EA Sports FIFA 20, Mortal Kombat 11, and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in North America and Europe will be invited to show off their skills to the PlayStation audience in our broadcasts.

    • Weekly online tournaments: The Open Series will occur weekly and then culminate into a Monthly Final. Compete in the weekly qualifiers to earn your way to the Monthly Final for a top finish, or if you couldn’t make it all the way, come back next month to compete in your favorite game again and see what new prizes you can win!
    • Rewards for everyone: New rewards will be introduced each month, and will be available to everyone who competes in a tournament. All players will earn a PS4 Tournaments theme and avatar for participating in their first tournament, and from there, the value of rewards will increase the more you progress:
      • A special PS4 theme for each game that players complete a qualifier. 
      • Elite versions of the themes and avatars for players who finish a qualifier in the top 40%.
      • Best of the best PS4 Tournaments Champions themes and avatars for those who 
      • make it to a Monthly Final.
      • Rarest of the rare Champions PS4 themes and avatars for players who finish top and showcase their dominance.
    • Chances to win prizes: Players who win first place in the weekly Open Qualifiers for select games** will take home a cash prize of $100 (USD)***, and the top winners of the Monthly Finals will have the opportunity to win a share of a $1,000 (USD)*** or more prize pool.
    • Broadcasts: Those who compete in EA Sports FIFA 20, Mortal Kombat 11 and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare in North America and Europe, may have a chance to show off their skills to friends and rivals on broadcasts hosted by PlayStation. High performing players may be invited to invitational tournaments, and the best of the best will compete on stream in each title’s monthly final!

    This month, PS4 Tournaments is introducing additional fan favorite titles, launching new seasons of current, on-going tournaments, and adding new prizing.

    • New Games: NBA 2K20 and Soul Calibur VI begin this week. These games are part of the Challenger Series, which is seasonal — giving you the chance to come back to compete repeatedly. In each season, progress through stages to test your skills with a level playing field, earning rewards for your efforts. See how far you can go, then come back for the next season to see what new prizes you can win.
    • New Seasons: The next seasons of Mortal Kombat 11 and EA Sports FIFA 20 Tournaments start this week. Don’t forget to compete if you haven’t yet or play again for a chance to become this season’s champion.
    • Prizing: From Dynamic Themes to in game currency and real-world cash, the Challenger Series has rewarded thousands of gamers thus far. Now you have an opportunity to win vouchers for access to 1-month of PS Plus. Compete and win for this additional reward and progress through the competition stages for a chance to win the end of season grand prize.
