Days Gone | PS4

Return to one of PlayStation’s most iconic settings reimagined for PS4 and experience a truly unique puzzle experience for PS5 as Final Fantasy VII Remake and Maquette join PlayStation Plus next month. Also launching alongside these titles on Tuesday, March 2 is the intense, sci-fi survival action of Remnant: From the Ashes and PS VR shooter Farpoint.

Final Fantasy VII Remake | PS4
Square Enix’s modern reimagining of its iconic RPG boasts unforgettable characters, a mind-blowing story and epic battles. Return to the city of Midgar as Cloud Strife, former member of Shinra’s elite SOLDIER unit now turned mercenary, lends his aid to the resistance group Avalanche. Initially executing daring raids against Shinra to fight back against its planet-threatening machinations, Cloud and his comrades are unaware of the epic consequences that await them.
The story of this first, standalone game in the Final Fantasy VII Remake project covers up to the party’s escape from Midgar, and goes deeper into the events occurring in Midgar than the classic original.

Remnant: From the Ashes | PS4
In this third-person survival action shooter, play as one of the last remnants of humanity attempting to retake a world overrun by monstrous, interdimensional invaders. Venture into dynamically-generated worlds alone or with up to two other survivors*, scavenging for supplies and modding your equipment to strengthen your chances of survival when tackling over 100 deadly varieties of enemy and battling epic bosses.
Maquette** | PS5
All that is tiny is simultaneously huge in this intriguing first-person puzzler designed around a Escher-esque recursive simulation. Making its PlayStation 5 debut as part of next month’s PlayStation Plus lineup, Maquette sets you in the center of a world the rules of which are very different from our own. Solutions to puzzles require you to twist the world recursively – manipulating the landscape of a diorama will see those changes mirrored in the life-sized version that surrounds you. If you get perplexed by a puzzle, you can call up PS5’s Game Help*** for helpful hints to solve Maquette’s tougher conundrums.
Farpoint | PS VR****
Master an arsenal of weapons to keep yourself alive on a hostile alien world in this free-roaming, first-person PS VR shooter. Optimised for the PlayStation VR Aim controller and fully playable with a DualShock wireless controller, strike out towards your crashed space station solo or with a friend in online co-op. Trade alien threats for testing each other’s skills in a variety of Versus game modes.

Hey everyone, Destruction AllStars is finally here on PS5, full game available at no additional cost to PlayStation Plus* members, and we’re thrilled for players to be able to jump into the arena!
Before you dive in we wanted to pass on a few tips and tricks to help get your AllStar career off to a flying start! Whilst the game is easy to pick up and play, there’s depth to the destruction and our AllStars are far more capable than they first appear.
1. Vehicles are disposable
In Destruction AllStars, you’re better off not getting too attached to any one vehicle. During a match, you’ll want to be looking out for the best time to eject and look for a new ride. Mix things up and change your strategy on the fly. Grab one of the heavy vehicles to tank some serious damage or get behind the wheel of one of the smaller, more nimble cars to dodge out of the way or deal out some precision hits! Even your hero vehicle is ultimately disposable as you can get the chance to call it in multiple times during a match. Don’t overstay your welcome behind the wheel.
2. Use the Arena to your advantage
When on foot, you’ll want to be aware of your surroundings as you plan your next move. Our arenas have a lot of verticality with suspended platforms that offer temporary safety from enemy vehicles. Staying light on your feet as you wall run between platforms is crucial for finding a brand new car or getting ready to pounce on one of your enemies vehicles.
3. Use Pickups to turn the tide
Whilst you’re exploring our arenas, you’ll find a variety of pickups that can help charge up your breakers (abilities). Collecting shards from platforms and wall runs will charge your Hero Vehicle and Hero Breaker. Use these to get a head start early on in the game or top off that final charge to get your breakers ready for action! You can also collect Breaker pickups. Collecting five of these pickups will fully charge your team’s Hero Vehicles, making them ready to be called in. This allows you to coordinate some devastating attacks or come back from an early loss.
4. Dodging is more effective than jumping
When an enemy vehicle is driving towards you, performing a dodge (circle by default) can be more rewarding than simply jumping. If you perform a successful dodge, you’ll have the option to jump on top of their car and try to either take or wreck their vehicle! You can use this to secure a new ride as fast as possible or to get a wreck.
5. Team games are built for coordination
In Stockpile and Carnado, coordination and communication will separate the winners from the true champions. In Stockpile, defending your banks is just as important as collecting gears. Choose the right AllStar to stand their ground with their Hero Breaker and push your opponents off the banks. In Carnado, Hero Vehicles can store more gears than regular vehicles. Keep an eye out for your opponent’s Hero Vehicles and give them a wide berth. Pick your moment to strike to deny them a lucrative deposit for their team!
6. Practise Mode
If you’re feeling a bit overwhelmed by some of the tips above, you can visit practise mode to try out all 16 of our AllStars in the single player environment of our Practise Mode. In this mode, you can learn the rules of our four multiplayer game modes whilst getting to grips with the unique abilities of each AllStar. Practise getting around the arena as well as trying out new tactics until you feel ready to take on the world in our online multiplayer.
7. Challenge Series
Our Challenge Series are a way to learn a bit more about a character’s back story whilst competing in unique single player challenges against their Rival. Each event has multiple challenges to complete beyond just winning the match, giving you more reasons to replay a Challenge Series to unlock all of its rewards. The first pack you can pick up is Ultimo’s Challenge Series! Be sure to bring your game as you face off against his Rival, Jian, culminating in a final showdown!

Bevor ihr Gas gebt, möchten wir euch noch ein paar Tipps und Tricks verraten, damit ihr einen fliegenden AllStars-Karrierestart hinlegen könnt! Das Spiel ist zwar leicht zu verstehen und zu spielen, aber die Zerstörung hat Methode und unsere AllStars können viel mehr, als es auf den ersten Blick scheinen mag.
Fahrzeuge sind entbehrlich
Bei Destruction AllStars fahrt ihr besser damit, euer Herz nicht zu sehr an ein bestimmtes Fahrzeug zu hängen. Während eines Matchs solltet ihr darauf achten, wann der beste Zeitpunkt ist, um auszusteigen und euch einen neuen fahrbaren Untersatz zu suchen. Sorgt für Abwechslung und ändert spontan eure Strategie. Schnappt euch eins der schwereren Fahrzeuge, um massiven Schaden anzurichten, oder schwingt euch hinters Steuer eines kleineren, wendigeren Wagens, um geschickt auszuweichen oder Präzisionsangriffe zu starten! Selbst euer Heldenfahrzeug ist letztendlich entbehrlich, weil es die Möglichkeit gibt, es mehrmals in einem Match herbeizurufen. Bleibt also nicht zu lange im selben Fahrzeug sitzen.
Nutzt die Arena zu eurem Vorteil
Wenn ihr zu Fuß unterwegs seid und euren nächsten Zug plant, solltet ihr immer eure Umgebung im Auge behalten. Unsere Arenen bieten durch Schwebeplattformen jede Menge Möglichkeiten, in die Senkrechte auszuweichen und kurzzeitig vor gegnerischen Fahrzeugen in Deckung zu gehen. Zu Fuß flott unterwegs zu sein und zwischen den Plattformen an Wänden entlangzusprinten ist das A und O, um einen brandneuen Wagen zu finden oder Anlauf zu nehmen und euch auf ein gegnerisches Fahrzeug zu stürzen.
Nutzt Pickups, um den Spieß umzudrehen
Während ihr unsere Arenen erkundet, stoßt ihr auf eine Vielzahl von Pickups, mit denen ihr eure Breaker (Fähigkeiten) aufladen könnt. Das Sammeln von Splittern auf Plattformen und an Wänden lädt euer Heldenfahrzeug und euren Heldenbreaker auf. Nutzt sie, um euch schon früh im Spiel einen Vorsprung zu sichern oder das letzte Stück der Leiste aufzufüllen, um eure Breaker einsatzbereit zu machen! Ihr könnt auch Breaker-Pickups sammeln. Wenn 5 davon eingesammelt wurden, werden die Heldenfahrzeuge eures Teams vollständig aufgeladen und sind dann einsatzbereit. So könnt ihr vernichtende Angriffe koordinieren oder einen frühen Rückstand wieder wettmachen.
Ausweichen ist effektiver als Springen
Wenn ein gegnerisches Fahrzeug auf euch zukommt, lohnt sich ein Ausweichmanöver (standardmäßig mit der Kreis-Taste) mehr, als einfach nur zu springen. Ein erfolgreiches Ausweichmanöver gibt euch die Möglichkeit, auf das gegnerische Fahrzeug aufzuspringen und es entweder zu übernehmen oder zu schrotten! So kommt ihr entweder superschnell an ein neues Fahrzeug oder an eine Verschrottung.
Teamspiele erfordern Koordination
In „Bunkern“ und „Motornado“ machen Koordination und Kommunikation den Unterschied zwischen Siegern und wahren Champions aus. In „Bunkern“ ist die Verteidigung eurer Banken ebenso wichtig wie das Sammeln von Zahnrädern. Wählt den richtigen AllStar aus, um mit einem Heldenbreaker die Stellung zu halten und eure Gegner von den Banken zu stoßen. In „Motornado“ können Heldenfahrzeuge mehr Zahnräder aufnehmen als normale Fahrzeuge. Behaltet die Heldenfahrzeuge eurer Gegner im Auge und macht einen großen Bogen um sie. Schlagt im richtigen Augenblick zu, um ihnen eine lukrative Einzahlung für ihr Team zu verwehren!
Übungsmodus
Wenn euch jetzt von den genannten Tipps der Kopf raucht, könnt ihr den Übungsmodus aufrufen und dort alle 16 AllStars in einer Singleplayer-Umgebung ausprobieren. Dieser Modus gibt euch die Gelegenheit, euch mit den Regeln unserer vier Multiplayer-Spielmodi und den einzigartigen Fähigkeiten jedes AllStars vertraut zu machen. Übt euch in der Arena und probiert neue Taktiken aus, bis ihr euch dazu bereit fühlt, es in unserem Online-Multiplayer mit der ganzen Welt aufzunehmen.
Herausforderer-Serien
In unseren Herausforderer-Serien könnt ihr etwas mehr über die Hintergrundgeschichte eines Charakters erfahren, während ihr in einzigartigen Singleplayer-Herausforderungen gegen dessen Rivalen antretet. Jede Veranstaltung besitzt mehrere Herausforderungen, die es zusätzlich zum Gewinnen des Matchs abzuschließen gilt – es besteht also Anreiz, eine Herausforderer-Serie zu wiederholen, um sämtliche Belohnungen freizuschalten. Als erstes Paket könnt ihr euch Ultimos Herausforderer-Serie sichern! Sorgt dafür, dass ihr in Hochform seid, wenn es zwischen ihm und Jian zum Kampf der Rivalen kommt und ihr euch den finalen Showdown liefert!
Das wär‘s fürs Erste, aber damit solltet ihr problemlos loslegen können! Wir werden die Diskussionen in der Community ab der Veröffentlichung genau verfolgen und mit euch kommunizieren, um sicherzustellen, dass euer Feedback in die Aktualisierungen mit einfließt, wenn wir Destruction AllStars durch Inhaltspakete, Saisons, Events und vieles mehr weiter ausbauen!

Hi all, I am excited to talk to you all about Control Ultimate Edition on PlayStation 5. The power of the PS5 opened up a lot of opportunities for us at Remedy, and we did our best to enhance the Control experience in ways which were not possible before.
Let’s start from literally the beginning. The initial loading of the game, where you see the logos and legal text, now takes approximately 4-seconds and from that it’s a short hop to get into the main menu. In addition to that, the load times in-game are a significant improvement compared to the PS4, so fast-traveling around the Oldest House is a lot more enjoyable.
You also have the choice between Performance and Graphics mode. In Performance mode, the game targets 60FPS performance, while in Graphics mode the action runs at 30FPS, but with ray tracing effects. In both modes the rendering resolution is set at 1440p, which is then upscaled to 4K. All this is running on Remedy’s own Northlight engine, which has undergone important upgrades since we first released Control back in 2019.
Ray tracing in Control Ultimate Edition brings improved image quality and realistic reflections to the environments in the Oldest House. These changes are most visible on non-transparent reflective surfaces across the game, as well as on transparent materials such as glass. This enables Control’s award-winning art direction to look and feel even more striking. We hope PS5 players will find new inspiration for taking shots with Control’s Photo Mode with all those gorgeous looking, ray-traced reflections.
It’s worth mentioning that the impressive visual features of ray tracing are achieved without sacrificing one of Control’s key features – advanced physics which enable a high level of environmental destruction. We encourage you to use the Launch ability to hurl around objects and hey, why not pile them up, too? It’s a great way to get to hard-to-reach areas and find secrets and loot.
Feeling it
After getting our hands on it and exploring its features, we’re especially excited about being able to take advantage of the DualSense.
You’ll definitely “feel” when the Pierce Service Weapon form is fully charged up through the vibrations of the right trigger. When using the SMG-like Spin, you can feel every bullet you spray through a very slight vibration. We especially like how subtle you can make some of these effects on the DualSense, which feels cooler than just aggressive rumble. The forms of the transforming Service Weapon feel even more distinct to use than before and give you a much more “hands-on” feel of what it’s like to be the Director of the Federal Bureau of Control.
Even the Director needs help sometimes
Control is set in the Federal Bureau of Control’s mysterious HQ, the Oldest House, which is, as we say, a shifting place. Despite the Bureau’s best attempts to map out the labyrinthine space, it can sometimes be a challenge to navigate, even with a transforming Service Weapon and a slew of supernatural abilities on Jesse’s side. This is partly by design, but the good news is that there’s help if you need it.
Control Ultimate Edition supports the PS5’s Game Help feature, so if you feel like you’re stuck on any part of Jesse’s journey to find her brother and control the Hiss threat, there are videos and textual hints available for all main missions. Some of the Help text and videos explicitly tell you what to do, and in some instances it’s more about giving hints as to what you should consider.
You access Help through Activity cards, which we think are awesome. We had a great time choosing the artwork for these. Activities are a great way to check your progress in a mission and give you an idea of how long they take. You can also see exactly how many steps away you are from unlocking a Trophy.

Hey Leute, ich freue mich heute über die Control Ultimate Edition auf PlayStation 5 mit euch zu sprechen. Die Power der neuen Konsole eröffnete einige Möglichkeiten für uns bei Remedy und wir haben unser Bestes gegeben, um die Erfahrung so zu verbessern, wie es vorher nicht möglich gewesen wäre.
Lasst uns am Anfang beginnen: Die Ladezeit beim Starten des Spiels, wenn ihr das Logo und den Rechtstext seht, dauert nun ungefähr 4 Sekunden und von da aus ist es nur noch ein kleiner Sprung ins Hauptmenü. Außerdem sind die Ingame-Ladezeiten im Gegensatz zur PS4-Version deutlich verkürzt. So macht die Schnellreise auch mehr Spaß.
Ihr habt auch die Wahl zwischen dem Performance- und Graphics-Mode. Im Performance-Mode, zielt das Spiel auf 60 FPS ab, während ihr die Action im Graphics-Mode mit 30 FPS erlebt – dafür aber mit Raytracing Effekten. In beiden Modi wird die Renderauflösung auf 1440p eingestellt, die dann auf 4K hochskaliert wird. Das alles läuft auf Remedys eigener Northlight-Engine, die seit der ersten Veröffentlichung von Control im Jahr 2019 einige Verbesserungen erhalten hat.
Die Raytracing-Funktion in Control Ultimate Edition verbessert die Bildqualität und realistische Reflexionen in den Umgebungen des Oldest House. Diese Änderungen sind am deutlichsten auf nicht transparenten, reflektierenden Oberflächen im Spiel sowie auf transparenten Materialien wie Glas zu sehen. Dadurch kann die preisgekrönte Art Direction von Control noch stärker herausgearbeitet und fühlt sich noch markanter an. Wir hoffen, dass PS5-Spieler mit all diesen großartigen Ray-Traced Reflexionen auch neue Inspirationen für den Fotomodus finden.
Die beeindruckenden visuellen Merkmale des Raytracing konnten erreicht werden, ohne eines der Hauptmerkmale von Control zu beeinträchtigen: Die fortschrittliche Physik, die ein hohes Maß an Zerstörung ermöglicht. Fühlt es
Nachdem wir ihn in den Händen halten und seine neuen Features ausprobieren konnten, sind wir nun glücklich, die Vorteile des DualSense nutzen zu können.
Ihr werdet es regelrecht durch die Vibration am Trigger fühlen, wenn die Pierce Service Weapon vollständig aufgeladen ist. Nutzt ihr den SMG-ähnlichen Spin, könnt ihr jede Kugel durch eine sehr leichte Vibration spüren. Uns gefällt besonders, wie sich einige dieser Effekte mit dem DualSense ganz subtil umsetzen lassen und es sich cooler anfühlt, als nur ein aggressives vibrieren. Die Formen der transformierenden Service Weapon fühlen sich noch deutlicher an als zuvor und geben euch ein noch viel besseres Gefühl wie es ist, der Director of the Federal Bureau von Control zu sein.

Destruction AllStars (PS5)

PlayStation Plus starts 2021 with a bang. PlayStation Plus members will receive two PS4 titles – action adventure Shadow of the Tomb Raider and action RPG Greedfall – on Tuesday January 5. On the same day, PlayStation 5 owners with a PlayStation Plus membership can play a terrifying apex predator in the open world (sea?) RPG Maneater*.

Greedfall** (PS4 game)

Multiplayer franchise Worms rips up the turn-based rulebook in favour of real-time, 32-player cross-platform combat as Worms Rumble debuts on PS4 and PS5 as a PlayStation Plus title! Joining Team17’s invertebrate invasion on Tuesday, December 1 is the open-world adventure of Just Cause 4 and a unique spin on the 3v3 shooter in the form of Rocket Arena.

We’ve been building this charming, weird game for the past six years, with the majority of that time spent working in complete silence. So it’s pretty surreal that not only will our game finally be out in the world in just a few weeks, but also that thousands of players will be able to enjoy it on day one of owning their new PS5. It’s been a pretty wild ride.
With the big news out of the way, we wanted to share a bit more about the design of Bugsnax to help prepare you for your time on Snaktooth Island. But maybe this is the first you’ve heard of these mythical bugs that are also snacks?
Bugsnaxis a first-person, narrative-driven adventure that has you setting off to the mysterious Snaktooth Island in search of the truth behind the tasty creatures known as Bugsnax. As a journalist hungry for that next big scoop, you accept the invitation to the island from the intrepid explorer Elizabert Megafig, who has now gone missing! But you’re not alone. Fuzzy and eccentric pioneers known as Grumpuses have also followed Elizabert in search of Bugsnax, and have created the cozy settlement of Snaxburg. Capture and discover Bugsnax, make new friends, find Elizabert, and maybe you’ll get that big breakthrough story you’ve been after.
So, what does it mean to be a Bugsnax hunter? In order to capture all of the delicious Bugsnax of Snaktooth Island, you’ll have to learn all the tricks of the trade. Scan Bugsnax with you Snaxscope for clues about how to capture them, and record these observations in your Bugapedia. Drop your Snak Trap in the path of unsuspecting Strabbies to scoop them up. Can’t reach a flying Bugsnak like the Cheepoof? Use your Lunchpad to fling your Snak Trap into the air! But what if you’re dealing with a Flamin’ Cheepoof? That spicy boy will set your Snak Trap ablaze! But if you can find a way to bring the Flamin’ Cheepoof together with a frosty Bopsicle, that Cheepoof will be yours for the snacking!
All of the Bugsnax you discover interact with the player’s traps and with each other to create satisfying strategies and delicious surprises. The Grumpuses of Snaktooth Island all have their own unique cravings for Bugsnax. It’s your job to catch and feed them those Bugsnax, but how you hunt those snax is up to you!
We also wanted to provide some insight for the Trophy hunters out there: Bugsnax will have standalone Trophy lists for both PS5 and PS4, which means… you get double the fun, and double the Trophies! We’re also looking into supporting save transfers from your PS4 to your PS5, which would be added in a future update.
Our tight-knit team has put a lot of love and elbow grease into getting Bugsnaxto the finish line. We want to sincerely thank our pals at PlayStation for helping us bring Bugsnaxto PS5 and working with us to share it with so many players come November 12.

Scannt Bugsnax mit dem Snaxscope, um zu erfahren, wie man sie fängt, und dokumentiert eure Beobachtungen in der Bugapedia. Legt eure Snak-Falle in den Weg ahnungsloser Strabbies, um sie einzufangen. Ihr könnt einen fliegenden Bugsnak wie den Cheepoof nicht erreichen? Verwendet euer Lunchpad, um die Snak-Falle in die Luft zu schleudern! Aber was, wenn ihr es mit einem Flamin ‚Cheepoof zu tun bekommt? Dieser feurige Geselle wird eure Snak-Falle in Brand setzen! Aber wenn ihr einen Weg findet, den Flamin‘ Cheepoof mit einem frostigen Bopsicle zusammenzubringen, könnt ihr den Cheepoof genüsslich verputzen!
Alle Bugsnax, die ihr entdeckt, interagieren mit den Fallen des Spielers und miteinander, was tolle Strategien und köstliche Überraschungen ermöglicht. Hi everyone – we wanted to share a quick update on our plans for Destruction AllStars. We’ve decided to move the game’s release from November 2020 to February 2021, where it will be included for two months in PlayStation Plus at no additional cost.
Destruction AllStars is a multiplayer game that’s at its best when you’re competing with gamers online from all around the world. We want as many people as possible to experience the mayhem on PS5, and what better way to do that than to provide the game to our PlayStation Plus members?
Next week, we’ll return with a brand-new trailer and more details on the game, so you’ll know exactly what to expect when you download it in February.
This may be disappointing news for some of you who were looking to play the game at launch, but we hope you understand the decision. For those of you that have already pre-ordered the game, be it via PlayStation Store, PlayStation.com, or at retail, your purchase will be refunded.

Play a doctor turned vampire ghosting through a London gripped by violence and fear. Use your supernatural abilities, as well as man-made tools and weapons to fight or flee the forces of evil and vampire hunters. Save the city’s populace or feed on them to become stronger, but giving in to your bloodlust can have grave consequences…
Both games are available from Tuesday October 6 until Monday, November 2.
Last chance to pick up September’s PS Plus games
A new wave of titles means we have to wave goodbye to last month’s. So make sure not to miss out on adding Street Fighter V and PUBG: PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds to your PS4 library before both exit PS Plus on October 5.

So funktioniert der Fotomodus
Um den Photo-Mode zu aktivieren, springt einfach über die Optionstaste in das Menü und wählt den Fotomodus aus. Nun könnt ihr die Kamera (fast immer) frei bewegen, den Blickwinkel verändern und sogar die Schärfentiefe ändern. Details im Hintergrund lassen sich so zum Beispiel prominenter darstellen. Auch die Sättigung, Farbtiefe und Helligkeit der Fotos passt ihr mit dem Fotomodus spielend einfach an.
Mit einem passenden Filter, einer Körnung auf dem Bildschirm und mehr lässt sich die Stimmung komplett verändern. Stören euch Charaktere auf dem Bild, könnt ihr sie einfach ausblenden und zum Schluss noch einen schönen Rahmen einsetzen, bevor ihr das Interaktionsmenü mit der Viereck-Taste ausblendet. Mithilfe des Share-Buttons auf eurem Controller macht ihr nun ein Foto, das direkt auf der Festplatte gespeichert wird.
Unser Tipp: Um nicht jedes Mal ins Menü zu gehen, könnt ihr den Fotomodus auch über ein Kürzel aktivieren. Drück dazu einfach beide Sticks, L3 und R3, gleichzeitig. Dieser Shortcut muss zuvor allerdings ein Mal in den Optionen aktiviert werden. Dann könnt ihr ihn jederzeit nutzen.
