Open wide for MK11 Ultimate Mileena gameplay

The Kahnum has returned! Fan-favorite fighter, Mileena, is making her way to Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate.

Real quick before we talk about her ferocious fighting style, let’s do a lore recap. After the death of Shao Kahn in the 2011 reboot of Mortal Kombat, Mileena took over the title of Kahnum. Just like Mileena herself, her rule was chaotic, and she was deposed by Kotal Kahn. She attempted to win her throne back but failed. Mileena was then executed by D’Vorah with a bug-filled smooch that will not be winning best kiss at any Hollywood award show. Thanks to Kronika’s meddling with time, Mileena is back and looking to control the hourglass’ power. She wants to rewrite history and create the world she believes she was born to rule.

If you’re a fan of Mileena from any era, you will love how she plays here. First off, Mileena now has a sharp set of claws to slash through her opponents. Mileena’s base moveset can be likened to Klassic Mortal Kombat II with all of the core moves that you’d expect, including her trademark sai and her ball roll for starters. Her core moveset also includes the teleport kick, which when amplified ends as a throw and allows you to choose which direction to toss your opponent. For fans of Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, look out for a fun Easter egg, her UMK3 Kombo is back!

Mileena gains new moves in her custom abilities. She has a new command grab that turns your opponent’s head into a pin cushion, a player-controllable sai that travels across the ground and the Kahnum dash, a slide that can be amplified TWICE!

Dangerous Allure (above) — A modern reimagining of Mileena’s Klassic ninja outfit, and her main skin.

Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate – Rambo gameplay reveal

Fellow Fighters, at long last, Rambo joins fellow 1980s action movie icons RoboCop and the Terminator as part of Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate and Kombat Pack 2. We at NetherRealm Studios couldn’t be more excited about Rambo joining the fight.

Drawing inspiration from the first three films in the Rambo series – First Blood, Rambo: First Blood Part II, and Rambo III – our gameplay designers looked to distill the essence of his particular style of combat. That’s why our Rambo, as he does in the films, relies more on stealth than he does on gunplay. He uses the environment itself as a weapon, deploying a variety of traps which use elements like tripwires, swinging logs and hidden mines. Of course, Rambo is also famous for his skill with a knife and compound bow. Both are a core part of his moveset and are used in very distinct ways.

As with all of our guest fighters, our visual artists worked diligently to recreate Rambo’s classic look and feel. They carefully studied the early films, going frame by frame to catalog the details of his wardrobe and weapons. As part of this work, our character team fully reproduced Rambo’s two iconic looks from First Blood – his drifter look from the top of the film and his guerilla warfare look from the film’s epic climax. The end result of their work is stunning. Rambo looks like he stepped right out of the original movies and into Mortal Kombat 11.

Knowing that Sylvester Stallone would return to voice the character made the stakes for getting the lines right very high. All of the hard work to perfect the script paid off when we finally got to record it. Stallone enthusiastically jumped into the performance, bringing the words to life in exactly the way we had hoped.

For me, getting to work with a legendary actor as he plays one his most iconic roles was a thrilling experience. As a Voiceover Director, it doesn’t get any better. My favorite memory of the session was the sound of Stallone chuckling. As he performed the lines, he noticed the many references we had included, not only from the Rambo films, but also from the rest of his body of work. When you play, listen closely to the banter for references to The Expendables, Cliffhanger, Demolition Man and more. It was a real kick to see that he was so entertained. Hopefully, Rambo fans will have as much fun with the experience as did the man himself.

Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate – Gameplay-Enthüllung zu Rambo

Verehrte Mitkämpfer, endlich ist es so weit. Als Teil von Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate und des Kombat-Pack 2 schließt sich Rambo den Actionhelden der 1980er RoboCop und Terminator an. Wir bei NetherRealm Studios freuen uns wahnsinnig darauf, dass Rambo sich in den Kampf stürzt.

Unseren Gameplay-Designern ging es darum, die Essenz seines individuellen Kampfstils einzufangen – dabei zogen sie Inspiration aus den ersten drei Filmen der Rambo-Reihe: Rambo, Rambo II: Der Auftrag und Rambo III. Aus diesem Grund verlässt sich unser Rambo mehr auf Tarnung als auf seine Waffen, so wie auch in den Filmen. Vielmehr nutzt er die Umgebung selbst als Waffe, indem er eine Vielzahl von Fallen einsetzt, darunter Stolperdrähte, schwingende Baumstämme und verdeckte Minen. Natürlich kennt ihr Rambo ebenfalls für seinen geschickten Umgang mit dem Messer und dem Compoundbogen. Beide gehören fest zu seiner Palette an Moves und werden auf höchst eigene Weise eingesetzt.

Wie bei all unseren Gastkämpfern haben unsere Grafikdesigner ambitioniert daran gearbeitet, Rambos klassischen Look festzuhalten. Bild für Bild sind sie die ersten drei Filme durchgegangen, um seine Kleidung und seine Waffen im Detail zu katalogisieren. So konnte unser Charakterteam die 2 ikonischen Rambo-Looks von First Blood nachstellen. Seinen Drifter-Look vom Anfang des Films und und seinen Guerilla-Warfare-Look vom epischen Höhepunkt des Films. Das Endergebnis verschlägt einem den Atem. Dieser Rambo wirkt so, als wäre er direkt aus seinen Filmen in Mortal Kombat 11 hineingetreten.

Da wir wussten, dass Sylvester Stallone dem Charakter seine Stimme leiht, stellten wir höchste Ansprüche an uns, damit seine Sprüche gelingen. Als es dann endlich an die Aufnahme ging, machte sich die ganze harte Arbeit bezahlt, die wir in die Perfektionierung des Skripts investiert hatten. Stallone widmete sich den Sprachaufnahmen so enthusiastisch, dass die Texte genauso klangen, wie wir es uns erhofft hatten.

Für mich war es eine aufregende Erfahrung, mit einem legendären Schauspieler zu arbeiten, während dieser in seine bekannteste Rolle schlüpft. Etwas Schöneres kann man sich als Voiceover Director nicht wünschen. Meine liebste Erinnerung aus der Aufnahmesitzung ist das Lachen von Stallone. Während er seinen Text einsprach, bemerkte er die vielen von uns eingebauten Anspielungen aus den Rambo-Filmen und aus seinen anderen Werken. Achtet beim Spielen genau auf seine Sprüche, dann werdet ihr Anspielungen auf The Expendables, Cliffhanger, Demolition Man und mehr entdecken. Es war eine Riesenfreude, ihn so vergnügt zu sehen. Hoffentlich werden die Fans von Rambo beim Spielen genauso viel Spaß haben wie er selbst.

Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate brings Rain, Mileena, and Rambo

Fellow fighters, at long last, fan-favorite characters Mileena and Rain are joining the fight! Along with the classic action hero, Rambo, they all join the roster as part of Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate, the definitive, all-in-one Mortal Kombat 11 experience. Our designers and artists have polished every detail of each character’s presentation. The gameplay is awesome, the Fatalities are gruesome and the looks are killer.

Rain now wields a katar, which he uses to slash and stab his opponents. Rain can also use his magic to open a rift to a previously unknown watery realm. Here, all of his classic moves are reimagined. His water powers are also expressed in new and unique ways.

Along with her traditional sais, Mileena now also has razor-sharp claws. They come courtesy of the gloves that she wears in to kombat. The gloves and her other gear look stellar. My favorite look is that of Kahnum Mileena, where she gets her own Shao Kahn style helmet.

Playing as Rambo is like time-traveling back with Kronika to 1982. Our character artists have perfectly captured Rambo’s look from “First Blood.” They, along with our design and cinematics teams, drew great inspiration from that film, as well the subsequent sequels. Of course, having Sylvester Stallone voice one of his most iconic characters is an absolute thrill. We worked hard to make sure that every line of dialogue was true to the Rambo that fans know and love.

In addition to these three amazing new characters that make up Kombat Pack 2, Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate is stuffed with all of the great content that has been released thus far. It includes every mode, every character and every feature from the main game, Kombat Pack 1 and the Aftermath Expansion. Those who purchase Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate will also receive both of the cinematic story campaigns – the base game’s original story and the story expansion released with Aftermath, continuing the epic Mortal Kombat 11 saga.

Rain, Mileena und Rambo bald in Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate verfügbar

An alle Kämpfer, endlich stürzen sich Mileena und Rain, die legendären Charaktere, in den Kampf. Zusammen mit dem klassischen Actionhelden Rambo sind sie bald als Kämpfer in Mortal Kombat 11: Ultimate erhältlich, dem ultimativen Mortal Kombat 11-Rundumerlebnis. Unsere Designer und Künstler haben das Aussehen jedes Charakters bis aufs kleinste Detail perfektioniert. Das Gameplay ist genial, die Fatalities sind grausam und das Aussehen ist mörderisch.

Rain schwingt jetzt ein Katar, mit dessen scharfer Klinge er dem Gegner das Fürchten lehrt. Darüber hinaus kann Rain seine magischen Fähigkeiten nutzen, um ein Portal zu einem bisher unbekannten Wasserreich zu öffnen. Hier werden alle seine klassischen Moves neu interpretiert. Auch seine Wasserkräfte werden auf neue und einzigartige Weise dargestellt.

Neben ihrer traditionellen Sais hat Mileena jetzt auch messerscharfe Krallen. Diese verstecken sich in den Handschuhen, die sie in Kämpfen trägt. Die Handschuhe und ihre restliche Ausrüstung sehen toll aus. Mein Lieblingslook ist der von Kahnum Mileena, wo sie ihren eigenen Helm im Stil von Shao Kahn trägt.

Als Rambo zu spielen ist wie eine Zeitreise zurück mit Kronika ins Jahr 1982. Unsere Charakterkünstler haben Rambos Look aus „Rambo I“ perfekt eingefangen. Zusammen mit unseren Design- und Filmteams haben sie sich maßgeblich von diesem Film und seinen Fortsetzungen inspirieren lassen. Natürlich ist es absolut genial, dass wir Sylvester Stallone als Stimme für eine seiner bekanntesten Rollen gewinnen konnten. Wir haben hart gearbeitet, um sicherzustellen, dass jede Zeile an Dialog genau von dem Rambo kommen könnte, den Fans kennen und lieben.
