    If you’ve been missing the streets of Los Santos, I’m excited to share that Grand Theft Auto V is making its way back to Game Pass on April 15! And for those of us who play on PC, I’m even happier to announce that GTAV Enhanced will be playable with PC Game Pass, and includes the latest features, like Hao’s Special Works Vehicles and more.

    GTA Online Features 

    Everyone playing GTAV Enhanced on PC will have access to new vehicles and modifications, Chameleon Paints, and a bunch more all in Hao’s Special Works.  

    When playing GTA Online, you’ll need to make sure you and your friends are all playing in the same edition so you can squad up — the good news is that Game Pass Ultimate and Game Pass Standard players have access to all console and PC editions so you can download to play whatever your friends are on. And PC Game Pass players, both editions are available for you to download and play, even if your friends are on Steam or Epic Games.  

    Oscar Guzman Flies Again  

    No matter what version you’re playing, everyone will have access to Oscar Guzman Flies Again, the latest update where you can take to the skies — taking control of the McKenzie Field Hanger in Grapeseed. Play new arms trafficking missions, fly new aircraft, and more.

    Pre-loading for Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto Online is now available for those who’ve pre-ordered digitally through the PlayStation 5 console store. Players can get GTA Online for free* exclusively on PS5 for the first three months from the game’s launch on March 15.

    These new versions of GTAV and GTA Online launch on March 15 and feature new graphics modes including up to 4K resolution, a framerate of up to 60 frames per second, improved texture qualities, HDR options and ray tracing, faster loading times, immersive 3D audio, and more.

    Plus, you can transfer Story Mode progress from your PS4 or Xbox One now by uploading a save to the Rockstar Games Social Club, and you’ll be able to migrate your GTA Online character** on March 15. Those eager to continue their journey on PlayStation 5 will also get a fully converted Karin S95 souped up by the experts at Hao’s Special Works, along with a Hao’s Special Work Racing Outfit and set of new Chameleon paints usable on all vehicles.

    The Career Builder

    As mentioned last week, GTA Online on PlayStation 5 will feature the Career Builder. This is designed to give new players — or anyone who wants to reset their character and get a fresh start — a helpful leg-up in the criminal world of Southern San Andreas. 

    With the Career Builder, you’ll enter GTA Online with a business property, a vehicle, and a weapon — with room to add useful upgrades and a little extra GTA$ to begin.

    Choose from a selection of the most popular criminal career paths in GTA Online: Biker, Executive, Nightclub Owner, or Gunrunner. From there you’ll receive a GTA$4,000,000 bankroll to put towards acquiring the essentials. Picking one of these four careers will ensure you have a business property and a huge range of missions and gameplay to embark upon immediately — and you can of course expand and dabble in new careers as you progress.

    After selecting a career, use your newfound GTA$4M windfall to acquire start-up essentials from across a wide range of properties, vehicles, and weapons. You can select from the basics — a non-upgraded business property, alongside a simple weapon and vehicle combination — or you can opt for business properties complete with upgrades and customizations, high-end vehicles, and enough weapons to fill a Gun Locker. It all depends on how you want to spend your dispensation, and you can bring a maximum of GTA$1,000,000 from this with you into GTA Online.

    Story Mode and GTA Online Character Transfers

    PS4 and Xbox One players will be able to transfer both their GTAV Story Mode progress and their current GTA Online characters and progression to PS5, with a one-time migration.

    Starting today, players can begin transferring their Story Mode progress by uploading a save to the Rockstar Games Social Club. To begin this process, enter GTAV on your current console account and go to the Game tab of the Pause Menu. From there, select the Upload Save Game option. Please note, you can only store one game save per platform at a time and saves will remain available to download for 90 days.

    Players with a Rockstar Games Social Club account will also be able to migrate their GTA Online character progress to PS5 on March 15 upon loading up the game on their PS5 console. This migration includes any Characters, GTA$, Progression, Stats, Vehicles, Properties, Weapons, Clothing, and Player-Created Jobs.**

    Am 20. Juli wird die Underground Tuner-Szene in Los Santos zum Start von GTA Online: Los Santos Tuners laut aufröhren. Neben einer Menge actiongeladender, Tuning-basierter Missionen und Rennen lernt ihr in diesem Update den LS Car Meet kennen, einen riesigen, geteilten sozialen Raum, in dem ihr eure geliebten Fahrzeuge vorzeigen könnt. Hier ist auch Platz für Rennen mit anderen Fans, um eure einzigartigen Fahrzeuge zu zeigen und vielleicht sogar Kontakt zu eher dubiosen Leuten aufzunehmen, die Fahrer mit besonderen Talenten und der lust auf leicht verdientes Geld suchen.

    Für den Anfang solltet ihr ein eher unscheinbares, ziemlich voll gespraytes Lagerhaus am Rande der Stadt in Cypress Flats besuchen. Hört genau hin und ihr erkennt vielleicht von außen schon das Motorengeräusch. Oder vielleicht ist es die improvisierte Zielgerade, die draußen auf den Boden gemalt ist? Was immer eure Aufmerksamkeit erregen könnte, drinnen findet ihr heraus, dass der LS Car Meet eine “gute Stimmung”-Politik verfolgt: Hier seid ihr sicher vor besonderer Aufmerksamkeit von Seiten der Polizei oder irgendwelcher Kleinkrimineller, die die Bewohner von Los Santos terrorisieren wollen.

    Miese Einstellungen (und bewaffnete Fahrzeuge) bleiben vor der Tür, denn hier drinnen geht es darum, seine Liebe für Autokultur mit Gleichgesinnten zu teilen. Ihr werdet immer wieder neue Wege finden, euch im Herzschlag der Szene zu verlieren und eure interessantesten personalisierten Fahrzeuge auszustellen.

    Wer 50 000 GTA$ zahlt, verdient sich als Mitglied des LS Car Meet sogar besondere Privilegien.

    Am Anfang werdet ihr einen neuen Fortschritt für euren Ruf freischalten können, der neue Vorteile mit jedem Level bringt. Und ihr könnt auf die Teststrecke: ein riesiger, unterirdischer Bereich im Car Meet, wo ihr und eure Freunde fahren, driften und Rennen fahren könnt – ganz ohne irgendwelche störenden Fußgänger oder nervige Gesetze. Ihr könnt auch neue Test-Fahrzeuge auf der Teststrecke ausprobieren – eure erste Chance, immer wieder andere Fahrzeuge zu steuern und an ihre Grenzen zu bringen.

    Mitglieder können auch in wechselnden Herausforderungen antreten und erhalten als Gewinner Zugriff auf eine Reihe von besonderen Shops und Features – ihr könnt Merch oder Tattoos kaufen und im Moddingbereich in Echtzeit anderen zeigen, wie gut ihr in Anpassungen seid.

    Wer in der Hierarchie des Clubs ausgestiegen ist, kann den Car Meet übernehmen und die Dekoration ganz an seinen Geschmack anpassen.

    Mit Los Santos Tuners lernt ihr neue Rennen im Car Meet und außen kennen – jedes mit eigenem Leaderboard. Auf der Teststrecke könnt ihr Freundschaftsrennen durchführen wie ein Head-to-Head, in dem euch nur Geschwindigkeit und Präzision den nötigen Vorteil verschaffen werden, euren Gegner im kurzen Rennen zu besiegen. Oder Scramble: Vier Spieler fahren das Rennen um 20 Checkpoints. In Time Trials um die Teststrecke könnt ihr eure Fahrzeuge mal so richtig herausfordern und euren persönlichen Rekord immer wieder schlagen. Bis zu dreißig Spieler teilen dabei die Strecke mit euch – Kontakt ist aber ausgeschaltet und ihr könnt die Strecke auch privat alleine fahren. 

    Ab der Teststrecke und in der gesamten Stadt gibt es neue Rennserien für Mitglieder: Street Race Series und Pursuit Series.

    Im Street Race Series geht es wortwörtlich um Straßenrennen: Lasst die KOnkurrenz hinter euch auf kreativen Strecken in den Straßen der schönsten Nachbarschaften von Los Santos und verschafft euch durch riskante aber lohnende Abkürzungen den nötigen Vorteil. In der Pursuit Series fahrt ihr eher mit offenem Ende: Die Checkpoints sind weit gestreut auf der Karte verteilt, um kreatives Fahren zu belohnen – denn hier tretet ihr gegen die anderen Fahrer an, während das LSPD euch auf den Fersen ist. Und Sprint bietet euch eine Punkt-zu-Punkt-Herausforderung im Freemode, in der ihr bis zu drei andere Fahrer in einem halsbrecherischen Rennen vom LS Car Meet zu unterschiedlichen Punkten wie dem LSIA und zurück besiegen müsst. 

    In der unterirdischen Welt des Car Meets ist euer Ruf eine wertvolle Währung. Verdient euch Reputationspunkte durch die Teilnahme an Rennen (und um so mehr, wenn ihr gewinnt), durch Bonusse für den täglichen Besuch/Log in, indem ihr Zeit auf der Teststrecke verbringt oder einfach nur, weil ihr im Car Meet abhängt.

    Die Belohnungen für einen guten Ruf sind vielfältig und verbessern euren Status in der Szene: schaltet unterschiedliche Ausrüstung frei, neue aufregende Fahrzeuggestaltung wie neue Räder und Lackierungen und sichert euch Rabatte für bestimmte Fahrzeuge, den Zugriff auf neue Rennmodi und die Möglichkeit, euren eigenen privaten Car Meet zu veranstalten.

    Natürlich kommen mit diesem Update zu GTA Online auch wieder eine Reihe von neuen Fahrzeugen ins Inventar der Händler von Los Santos: von importierten getunten Wagen von Annis, Dinka, Übermacht und anderen bis zu Vapids Muscle, den Amerikaner so lieben gelernt haben. Es wird insgesamt im Laufe des Sommers 17 neue Wagen geben, von denen 10 direkt zum Start am 20. Juli verfügbar werden.

    Und, wenn später dieses Jahr GTA Online auf PlayStation 5 startet, werden einzelne Fahrzeuge direkt mit besserer Geschwindigkeit und mehr upgradebar werden. Diese besonderen Upgrades werden nur für die PS5-Version von Grand Theft Auto V verfügbar sein – bleibt dran für mehr Details.

    Mit einem „Schweren Kraftfahrzeugdiebstahl“ ist es nun wirklich nicht getan: In den Grand Theft Auto-Games von Rockstar klettert ihr seit weit über 20 Jahren die Karriereleiter für Berufsverbrecher nach oben, in dem ihr euch so kriminell wie möglich auf den Straßen imaginärer Großstädte benehmt. Zum 10-jährigen Jubiläum von PlayStation Plus werfen wir einen Blick auf das Erfolgs-Franchise, das den Online Multiplayer wegweisend geprägt hat. 

    Grand Theft Auto (1997)

    Eigentlich sollte euch die Mischung aus Action- und Rennspiel aus der Vogelperspektive in die Rolle eines Polizisten versetzen. Aber irgendwie wollte keiner einen Cop spielen, wenn doch die Raserei durch die Straßen viel mehr Laune macht. Das haben auch die Entwickler des schottischen Studios DMA-Design, später Rockstar North, erkannt und machten den Protagonisten zum Verbrecher, der sich mal an keine Regel hält. Ihr könnt die imaginären Städte Liberty City (New York), San Andreas (San Franzisko) und Vice City (Miami) unsicher machen und für unterschiedliche Bosse Aufgaben erledigen. Habt ihr genügend Punkte gesammelt, schließt ihr ein Kapitel ab und könnt munter mit dem kriminellen Treiben weiter machen. Wenn ihr den Urvater spielen wollt: GTA ist mit auf der PlayStation Classic enthalten.

    Fun-Fact: Wie im Kino

    Wenn ihr in Liberty City einen weißen Linien Bus am Straßenrand seht, solltet ihr nicht achtlos vorbei rasen. Steigt ein und ihr dürft eine Mission starten, bei dem ihr durch die Gegend fahrt  und die GEschwindigkeit dabei niemals unter 50 Meilen/Stunde sinkt. Wenn euch das an den Film „Speed“ mit Keanu Reeves erinnert, dann liegt ihr ganz genau richtig.

    Grand Theft Auto 2 (1999)

    DMA-Design bleibt der Erfolgsformel treu und schickt zwei Jahre später den Nachfolger auf der PS One ins Rennen. Diesmal landet ihr aber nicht in einer gut erkennbaren Großstadt der Gegenwart, sondern in der düsteren Zukunft des fernen Jahres 2013 an einem Ort mit dem Namen Anywhere City. In der Rolle des Gauners Claude Speed erfüllt ihr Aufträge völlig durchgeknallter, konkurrierenden Banden, wie Yakuza, Rednecks, russische Mafia oder den Hare Krishna(!). Nach jeder erfolgreichen Mission steigert Speed seine Reputation bei der Bande.

    Grand Theft Auto III (2001)

    Mit dem dritten Hauptteil der Serie geht es optisch in die dritte Dimension, das strittige Motto aber bleibt: Verbrechen zahlt sich aus. In Grand Theft Auto III taucht ihr in die Unterwelt von Liberty City ein und macht, was ein Verbrecher so macht. Banküberfälle, Autodiebstahl, Verfolgungsjagden und Schießereien mit Polizei oder Gaunerbanden, Bomben legen, ihr wisst schon, eben alles was ein GTA so ausmacht. Erstmals dürft ihr die Straßen verlassen und mit Booten und kleinen Flugzeugen die weiten Strecken in der offenen Spielwelt zurück legen.

    Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (2002)

    In Grand Theft Auto: Vice City geht es zurück in die wilden 1980er-Jahre und ihr lebt euer Lotterleben in der Miami-Version „Vice City“. Die Handlung: Ihr übernehmt die Rolle von Tommy Vercetti, der gerade eine lange Haftstrafe verbüßt hat. Sein alter Mafia-Boss Sonny Forelli schickt den so gar nicht geläuterten Tommy mit dem Auftrag einen Drogendeal durchzuführen nach Vice City. Wie gehabt, dürft ihr euch durch massig Haupt- und Nebenmissionen ballern und sich in der Spielwelt frei bewegen. Aber Achtung: Je brutaler ihr vorgeht, desto mehr Polizeieinheiten nehmen die Verfolgung auf.

    Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (2004)

    Schauplatzwechsel: In Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas verlasst ihr den Moloch Vice City und macht euch auf nach San Andreas. Als Gauner Carl Johnson bekommt ihr ordentlich Ärger, als korrupte Cops euch einen Mord an einem Kollegen in die Schuhe schieben. Neuerdings kann euer Protagonist schwimmen, tauchen, klettern und geduckt laufen, damit lässt sich die gewohnt offene und reichhaltige Spielwelt noch etwas besser erkunden. Jetzt kommen auch langsam mal die Mehrspieler-Modi ins Spiel, zumindest kooperativ könnt ihr schon mit einem Freund gemeinsam die Gegend unsicher machen. Das Mangel an Modi wird sich schon bald ändern, allerdings auch die bislang zügige Erscheinungsweise von neuen Hauptteilen.

    Grand Theft Auto IV (2008)

    Willkommen in Amerika: Euer Protagonist Nicolas Bellic ist in Grand Theft Auto IV gerade aus Ostereuopa in Liberty City angekommen, da fangen die Probleme schon an. Eigentlich ist Nico auf der Suche nach seinem Cousin Roman und einem besseren Leben, taucht aber schnell ganz tief in die Unterwelt des fiktiven New York ein. Und schon legt ihr los mit Straßenrennen, Diebstählen, Morden und der gesamten Litanei einer großartigen Verbrecherkarriere. Und endlich braucht ihr nicht mehr alleine die ganzen Gaunereien zu begehen: Mit bis zu 16 Spielern könnt ihr die offene Spielwelt unsicher machen und online Modi, wie Deathmatch Team-Deathmatch, GTA-Rennen, Car-Jacker, Cops und Gangster oder Bombenanschlag kooperativ oder kompetetiv spielen.

    Bester PS Plus-Moment

    Wenn ihr in N.O.O.S.E.- Alarm eine Begleitmission spielt, die mal nicht nervig ist, sondern richtig gute Laune macht. Die Aufgabe: Ihr müsst den russischen Mafiaboss Konstantin Petrovic vom Francis International Airport abholen und in Sicherheit bringen, bevor die Polizisten der Liberty City Tactical Response Unit ihn verhaften oder töten können. Also besorgt euch Knarren und ein Fahrzeug, das einiges an Kugeln aushalten kann und eskortiert Petrovic sicher bis nach Charge Island.

    GTA V (2013)

    Multiplayer-Geschichte: Die GTA-Serie

    Das muss eine andere Spiel-Serie erst einmal nachmachen: Der Blockbuster GTA V ist auf drei nacheinander folgenden PlayStation-Generationen ein absoluter Hit. Zuerst 2013 für die PlayStation 3 erschienen, folgt ein Jahr später eine Überarbeitung für die PS4. Auch auf der kommenden PlayStation 5 braucht ihr natürlich nicht auf das spielbare Gangster-Epos zu verzichten, das 2021 in einer erweiterten und verbesserten Version erscheint. Über die Story der drei Kriminellen Michael, Trevor und Bradley, die in Los Santos ihr Unwesen treiben brauchen wir nicht mehr viel zu erzählen. Habt ihr die riesige offene Welt mit schier unendlichen Sehenswürdigkeiten und Möglichkeiten noch nicht erkundet, dann macht das einfach. Es lohnt sich.

    According to to some reports, actress Lindsay Lohan is planning to sue Rockstar Games, claiming the developer used her image without permission for Grand Theft Auto V.

    Apparently, Lohan’s lawyers are already in the process of drafting a lawsuit against Rockstar that demands „serious money.“

    Here’s the report by TMZ:

    Lindsay Lohan has called in her lawyers to take action against ‚Grand Theft Auto V‘ … claiming video game honchos jacked her image without her permission … TMZ has learned.

    Sources tell us, Lohan’s lawyers are currently crafting a lawsuit — demanding Rockstar Games pay some serious money for using Lindsay’s image in the game.

    So the question … did ‚GTAV‘ really use Lindsay. Here’s the evidence:

    — The video game cover shows a woman holding a cellphone who looks Lindsay-ish. There’s been debate over whether it looks more like Kate Upton or Shelby Welinder.

    — Part of the game features a mission where a Lindsay Lohan look-alike asks the player to take her home and escape the paparazzi.

    — Another part of the game shows another Lindsay-like character at a hotel resembling the Chateau Marmont hotel in West Hollywood — a place Lindsay not only frequents but once lived at — and the mission is to photograph her having sex on camera.

    No word on whether ‚GTAV‘ execs will pay Lindsay or tell her lawyers to pound sand.

    After some delays, the Stimulus Package promised by Rockstar is being deployed to GTA V players who suffered the bugs and problems on GTA Online launch.

    Attention all Grand Theft Auto Online players, we have begun the Stimulus Package direct deposit into each of your in-game bank accounts. This GTA$500,000 deposit applies to all GTA Online players in the month of October 2013.

    We expect that it will take up to 2 full days for the Stimulus Package to be fully delivered to the entire player base from October 2013, so please be patient if you do not see it appearing in your in-game bank account just yet. We will update this post on Friday when we expect all the GTA$ Stimulus Package deposits to have been completed.

    Bad news we have here, if you were waiting patiently on GTA Online for the two $250,000 payments to buy that super car of your dreams or a mansion in Vinewood Hills you may be disappointed knowing that they aren’t coming this week as promised, instead, Rockstar has informed that they have been pushed back.
