Broken into two eagerly anticipated showcase events, Capcom Highlights showcased what the game publisher has been busy cooking up for Xbox fans. The results look compelling across the board — particularly for fans of action-adventure titles Capcom has become famous for — with new details for Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, Dragon’s Dogma 2, Exoprimal, and Street Fighter 6.

Capcom Highlights, for those who don’t know, is a worldwide online event that is different from Capcom Showcase, where they announce new details about their upcoming games, and deliver the latest news from Capcom to Xbox fans across the globe.

Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess

This single-player, mystical action-strategy game is Capcom’s newest franchise. Its unique setting is surreal and at times psychedelic, full of wild enemy designs and kinetic, particle effect-filled actions. The game is set on a cursed mountain called Mt. Kafuku, where players will take the role of Soh with the goal of cleansing the mountain of corruption and restoring peace to the villages.

Rendered with beautifully modulated lighting effects, dynamic day and night cycles are essential to the experience. During the light of day, Soh joins forces with the rescued villagers to strategize and prepare for impending battles; come nightfall, Soh, along with the Maiden Yoshiro and the villagers, confront the embodiment of defilement on Mt. Kafuku, the Seethe. Soh wields a sword and fights the Seethe in a style reminiscent of a Shinto dance known as Kagura, as well as unleash the immense power within the sword’s Tsuba guards. The player must also constantly adapt to dynamic battle conditions, and take advantage of the different villager roles in order to protect the Maiden and cleanse the mountain of its curse: woodcutters, archers and ascetics are at the ready, altogether providing a nice combination of support abilities and raw strength and skill. Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess is powered by Capcom’s acclaimed RE Engine and will be available day one with Xbox Game Pass for console, PC, and Cloud, as well as on Xbox Series X|S and Windows.

Dragon’s Dogma 2

Director Hideaki Itsuno and Producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi were on hand to explain some exciting announcements surrounding the release of their upcoming title, Dragon’s Dogma 2. Players will be able to party up with as many as three AI-driven “Pawn” characters; the decisions the player makes throughout the game will impact the relationships between their own Arisen and other characters, as well as the interactions and dynamics between those AI characters. How one tackles quest objectives and interactions with other characters is what drives these systems, and sometimes hinges on the player’s ability to employ creative solutions to avoid physical altercations (think: bribery, counterfeiting objects, etc). In a world comprised of over 1000 unique characters, the player’s choices will have a dramatic ripple effect on the interpersonal dynamics among them.

Additionally, Itsuno and Hirabayashi showed the Dragon’s Dogma 2 Character Creator and Storage tool. Available for free to download now on the Xbox Store, the tool provides players the option to create up to five unique designs for their Arisen and Main Pawn characters each, and will be instantly transferred to the full game when Dragon’s Dogma 2 drops on March 22 for Xbox Series X|S — the game is also currently available for pre-order here on the Xbox Store. The company plans to release official Capcom support Pawns created by renowned content creators in the near future as well.

Exoprimal

Exoprimal is Capcom’s popular third-personal dinosaur shooter, and a new update — dubbed Title Update 4 — is coming next month. This newest free content drop is a big one, including two new game modes and six additional Exosuit Beta variants for players to equip. The coming season will also include an unexpected but welcome Mega Man crossover, complete with a new boss battle and a grip of Mega Man-themed cosmetics.

The new modes sound Intriguing for sure: “Time Loop Rebellion” is a co-op challenge, where ten players take on the game’s final boss, the Behemoth, in an expanded, even more fearsome form. Players can earn new rewards, including (but not limited to) golden “first class” Exosuit skins. The other new mode, dubbed simply “Custom Match,” lets players create their own lobbies and select their map and mission type(s), à la carte. These custom rooms can be shared cross-platform, thereby expanding the opportunities for cooperative hijinks. There’s even a new setting thrown in for good measure, called “Quick Brawl”; here, Exofighters can jump straight into their favorite final missions, including the more PvP-focused varieties.

As mentioned, six brand new Beta variant Exosuits will be available in the update as well, boosting the total to thirty. And you’ll be suiting up soon, as Exoprimal Title Update 4 is slated to drop on April 17th.

Street Fighter 6

Last but not least, Capcom unveiled a little something to excite the Street Fighter heads. Shown off in the form of a blistering teaser trailer, the publisher announced that fan-favorite demon Akuma will be coming to its top-tier fighting game, Street Fighter 6. The legendary Akuma will be available in Battle Hub, Fighting Ground, as well as World Tour mode, with new missions and a unique area to boot. While no specific release date was given, Capcom says he’s on track to release sometime this Spring.

Exoprimal: The Hunt Is On With a New 10-Player Monster Hunter-Themed Co-op Mission

The Barrage Beta Variant Exosuit

First up, we have the Neo Triceratops. This multi-horned terror has been uphanced on its journey through time, resulting in fun-tastic mutations that you wouldn’t see on a normal dinosaur. While a typical Triceratops is a challenge on its own, this is a particularly vicious fight that requires rival squads to work together as a team of 10. Skilled Exofighters who exhibit how teamwork makes the dream work will be rewarded with bonus existence. Do your best out there!

In addition, Aibius Research and Development has recorded what appears to be a Rathalos from the Monster Hunter series (based on data recovered from charred Exosuits). While we’ve seen our fair share of dinosaurs, we haven’t seen anything quite like this. Rathalos is capable of flight, fire breathing, and devastating attacks with its tail, claws, and body. We’ve even received reports that small, raptor-like creatures called Velociprey tend to show up alongside the Rathalos as well. Good luck coming back in one piece! Remember, per your employee agreement, Aibius is not responsible for any on-the-job loss of pieces.

Following in the footsteps of Monster Hunter: World, seasoned Exofighters may begin to see monster tracks across a variety of maps while working towards Dino Survival objectives. In Monster Hunter: World, gathering up enough tracks will help guide you to the monster that you’re looking for. What do you suppose that means if you gather enough of them in Exoprimal? (That’s your cue to go find some tracks, Exofighters!)

We’re also pleased to bring some additional information on this monstrous encounter to you, courtesy of Exoprimal’s development team!

Several members of Exoprimal’s dev team have also worked on Monster Hunter titles in the past, so they felt that bringing these two worlds together was a natural fit. It makes sense, really, as both Exoprimal and Monster Hunter are about a team of people working together to take down fearsome foes. When fans expressed their hopes that there would be a crossover with Monster Hunter in the future, the Exoprimal team decided that they’d lock it in.

In addition, the Rathalos is an iconic monster from the storied series, so it felt like a natural fit to include this flying wyvern as both a representative of Monster Hunter and as a formidable threat in Exoprimal. Based on player feedback and the popularity of 10-player missions, the dev team adjusted the scope of this boss battle to ensure it was both fun and challenging for a 10-player hunting party.

The dev team also made sure that the Rathalos’ movements and attacks are true to Monster Hunter, re-creating the thrill of the hunt for Exofighters while reinforcing the role-based co-op gameplay and strategy that Exoprimal is built on. We won’t spoil the details, but fans of Monster Hunter who know the tricks of the trade will have an edge when it comes to fighting the Rathalos. Meeting certain conditions will also change the in-game music. Make sure you’re communicating with your fellow Hunters – er, Exofighters – to work together and make your hunt successful!

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Swoops in with New Gameplay Details

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Director Hideaki Itsuno shared new gameplay details for the highly anticipated action-RPG, with an emphasis on combat and the dense new world players will immerse themselves in.

The vocations you choose determine the playstyle of you and your AI-controlled Pawns. Director Itsuno shared a look at the four starting vocations that you can choose from at the start of the game, as well as two additional vocations.

Cut down enemies and protect your party as a Fighter. This vocation focuses on melee combat, utilizing a one-handed sword and shield for an equal balance of offense and defense. It’s a great all-around vocation and fits well with most party compositions.

Rain down arrows from a distance using a bow and arrow as the Archer. This vocation is best suited to take down enemies above you, such as the many harpies that roam the skies. Take advantage of different arrows in your arsenal like exploding or blighting arrows to best your foes.

Strike swiftly with dual daggers as a Thief. Taking advantage of this vocation’s agility and choosing your openings is key. Stay aware of the enemy’s attack and use the Thief’s Swift Step ability to quickly dash away from enemies after an attack.

Cast powerful attack, healing, and support magick as a Mage. Summon powerful spells from above or cast an enchantment to strengthen your allies to get the edge in battle. More advanced magick will have longer incantations, so you’ll need to stay safe when casting powerful magick.

The Mystic Spearhand vocation wields the double-edged Duospear combined with unique magick attacks. Twirl your spear to hit multiple foes and use your magick to throw items or block an enemy’s movement. This new vocation is a great all-rounder that can adapt to any situation.

The fan favorite Magick Archer, delivers magick arrows that can devastate opponents and heal and support allies. One powerful and risky skill allows you to sacrifice your health to unleash a powerful attack over a wide area. No risk, no reward!

Choose the vocations of your party to best suit your needs and triumph over the many foes that await. You’ll be able to change your vocation at a Vocation Guild, so feel free to experiment! The full game will feature more unique vocations, so we hope you look forward to seeing them.

Director Itsuno also introduced some of the details that will be part of your journey in this world. Two nations reside in this world: Vermund, the kingdom of humanity, and Battahl, the land of the beastren. Vermund is a land ruled by the Arisen for generations, full of lush green meadows and rolling hills. Batthal is an area full of rugged canyons and the new beastren race calls home.

Why not ride an oxcart instead of hoofing it on foot? Hop onboard and take a quick rest to make it to your destination quickly. You can be attacked during your travels though, so stay ready!

Pitch black nights are another key series element returning in Dragon’s Dogma 2. Some highly dangerous monsters only appear during nighttime. Being cautious and prepared when traveling at night is key to survival, but waiting until morning is a sound strategy. Head to a campsite and use a camping kit to rest until the next morning and recover your health.

Environments can also play a key role in combat. For instance, breaking a dam to unleash a rush of water onto your enemies can completely change an encounter. Facing enemies like the Cyclops in canyon areas with the right combination of vocations in your party could topple over to create a makeshift bridge. Plenty of emergent gameplay situations like this await in your adventures ahead.

All of this is just a small slice of what you can expect in Dragon’s Dogma 2, and we can’t wait to share more in the future!

The Wargames Evolve in Exoprimal’s Next Update

Thanks to every Exofighter who joined the wargames on Xbox and Windows! Exoprimal’s dinosaur action continues to evolve with Title Update 2, coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows on October 18!

Ocean Platform is a new map coming to the wargames! Full of narrow scaffolding and with an emphasis on verticality, this offshore oil plant will challenge you to use your exosuit’s skills and rigs efficiently to navigate across the map while holding off dinosaur swarms.

Also included in Title Update 2 is Escape, a new final mission where you’ll team up with the opposing squad in an intense ten-player cooperative mission. Work together to secure and defend points on the map as quickly as possible to improve your odds of survival, then make a final rush to escape while fighting off overwhelming hordes of dinosaurs and neosaurs – dinos that have been altered in strange ways on their trip through time – to either escape as a team, or to be flagged for mortal sunset.

Title Update 2 will add two new rigs – suit attachments that can be swapped out at any time during gameplay – to the mix: the Drone rig and the Edge Strike rig. The Drone rig flies forward when deployed, leaving a lingering explosion and blinding any dinosaurs that come into contact. The Edge Strike rig fires a blade and teleports you to its location, before unleashing a quick slash.

Plus, it’s time to take Exoprimal to the streets! Street Fighter 6 collaboration content is also arriving on Bikitoa Island as part of Title Update 2. Ryu, Guile, and the newly revealed Chun-Li exosuit skins, charms, stamps, emotes, and decals make the leap from the streets to the wargames.

Season 2 of Exoprimal also launches on October 18, bringing a new Survival Pass with plenty of new earnable rewards. Be sure to jump in and complete the Season 1 Survival Pass while you can! We’ll also have an upcoming series of holiday events where you can earn special exosuit skins. There’s even more on the way with Title Update 3 in January 2024, which will introduce a collaboration with the Monster Hunter series, so Exofighters should remain on their toes and be ready for future dimensional integration.

Recently revealed at Tokyo Game Show 2023, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy is coming to Game Pass on September 26! Experience the early days of Phoenix Wright’s career in the series’ first three mainline entries full of nail-biting narratives, quirky characters, and unpredictable courtroom battles. It’s a perfect entry point for greenhorn attorneys to dive into the series for the first time.

Continue the story with Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy releasing separately on January 25, 2024. Packed with three titles that track the rookie lawyer’s journey to bring an end to the dark age of the law, Apollo Justice’s legal journey has been relitigated for modern screens with updated visuals and presentation! Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy also has some welcome additions that are sure to please the court. An episode select feature that allows you to choose any episode from any of the included three games right from the start, DLC costumes and bonus episodes from Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney – Dual Destinies and Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney − Spirit of Justice are included, an animation studio where you can replay each character’s unique animations, and a Museum including an Orchestra Hall and Art Library will provide you with plenty to listen to and look at when you’re not busy with sorting out the Court Record! So get your Chords of Steel ready – here comes Justice!

Xbox Digital Broadcast at Tokyo Game Show 2023: Every Announcement and Game Reveal

Xbox is back at Tokyo Game Show, and players were at the center of our just-concluded our Xbox Digital Broadcast. The Showcase featured new gameplay, news, and reveals for Japanese and Japan-inspired games coming to your Xbox console and PC, and appearances from Head of Xbox Phil Spencer and Head of Xbox Creator Experience Sarah Bond.

“Japan will always have a special place in my heart for pioneering innovative ways to play, from the Game Boy, to PSP, to the Switch”, said Phil Spencer in his opening address, and the show certainly brought that pioneering spirit to the fore. From the gameplay reveal of Hotel Barcelona – a landmark collaboration between game design legends Swery65 and Suda51 – to an announcement of a Day One Game Pass release for Like a Dragon: The Man Who Erased His Name, our show included some of Japanese development’s biggest, most important names.

The broadcast also revealed some of the latest content being built by Japanese creators for Xbox. Square Enix announced Octopath Traveler II on Xbox, and we showed off the latest on upcoming titles like Palworld, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, and more. And for racing fans, we were able to show off the new, Japan-set Hakone track and more for the upcoming Forza Motorsport.

Titles from Xbox Game Studios and Bethesda

Forza Motorsport

Fresh from its hands-on previews, the upcoming Forza Motorsport gave us a closer look at its gorgeous Japanese Hakone track, with beautiful cherry blossom trees masking a tricky turnpike – and driving on that track was one of the cars available in the game, a 2020 Toyota GR Supra. Forza Motorsport will be released for Xbox Series X|S (with Xbox Game Pass), Windows PC (with PC Game Pass) and Steam on October 10, with early access players getting access from October 5. Buying the game will also offer you the 2024 Chevrolet Corvette E-Ray in your garage inside Forza Horizon 5.

Fallout 76: Atlantic City

Fallout 76 Art Director Jonathan Rush made an appearance to introduce Atlantic City, a brand new location coming to the game on December 5. “Since we announced Atlantic City at the Xbox Showcase last June, we’ve upped the ante with so much great content that we’re splitting it into two releases, said Rush. “Atlantic City has stacked the deck with new content including new locations, new factions, new creatures, new missions, and new rewards. Plus, a flush casino where our Wastelanders can test their luck.” Steam players who already own the game can join the fun early, with Atlantic City available on the Public Test Server from October 3.

The Elder Scrolls Online

ZeniMax Online Studios is excited to share that The Elder Scrolls Online will launch in Japan on Xbox consoles, along with full localization in Japanese on November 15, 2023. During the segment, ESO Creative Director Rich Lambert also highlighted the new content recently released in the Necrom Chapter, which console players will be able to play locally this November.

The Ace Attorney series is one of the most beloved visual novel series of all time, and the original Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy is now coming to Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass on September 26. And that’s not all! Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy – comprising three more games featuring a new protagonist – will also arrive for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows PC in early 2024.

Altheia: The Wrath of Aferi

This new action-adventure odyssey was created by two brothers, and showed off never-before-seen gameplay. We got a good look at its characters – the warrior Lili and mysterious monk Sadi – puzzles, and combat, all set within mysterious and dangerous ruined temples inspired by the work of Hayao Miyazaki and Mamoru Hosoda. Both combat and puzzling are created with the two characters in mind, asking you to use both of their powers’ to proceed. Altheia: The Wrath of Aferi is coming soon for Xbox and Windows PC.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes

This spiritual successor to the beloved Suikoden series will arrive on Xbox consoles (with Xbox Game Pass) on April 23, 2024 – and pre-orders are now live. A new trailer gave us a look at its incredible mix of pixel art and 3D visuals, multi-hero turn-based combat, and a story told on a truly epic scale.

Exoprimal

Capcom’s madcap dinosaur-slaying online multiplayer game gave us a taste of what’s to come in Season 2. A new trailer showed off the new Ocean Platform map, the new ‘Escape’ final mission, new Drone and Edge Strike rigs, some truly outlandish new costumes, and more. We also got a look at the game’s much-anticipated crossover with Street Fighter 6, with Exosuit skins and animations based on Ryu, Guile, and Chun-Li. Exoprimal Season 2 will arrive on October 18.

Hotel Barcelona

Hotel Barcelona is the long-awaited collaboration between game design legends Swery65 and Suda51, and our Xbox Digital Broadcast brought us a never-before-seen gameplay trailer from the self-styled “2.5D slasher film parodic action” game. Drawing influences from across horror’s history, you’ll be pitted against everything from alien entities to AI-enhanced sharks, all while stuck in an endless time loop filled with serial killers – and only your deceased past selves to help you.

Both Swery and Suda appeared in the show to discuss the game. Swery discussed the game’s unusual beginnings – with Suda asking him to announce a collaboration on the fly, with no prior discussion – and his inspirations from Stanley Kubrick’s ‘The Shining’. Suda explained that he and Swery worked on the initial concept together – “Then, all of a sudden, Swery completed tons of work on the development, and Hotel Barcelona materialized. Most of the time, when someone does lip service like that, the project never materializes… But Swery made this project a reality in order to deliver something to the fans.”

Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai

Infinity Strash is a new Dragon Quest adventure inspired by the popular manga and anime series, and we saw a new story trailer that introduced many of its characters. Infinity Strash: Dragon Quest The Adventure of Dai comes to Xbox Series X|S and Windows PC on September 28.

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name and Like a Dragon: Ishin!

Head of Ryu Ga Gotoku, Masayoshi Yokoyama made a special appearance with some exciting news – Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name and Like a Dragon: Ishin! will be joining Xbox Game Pass, with the former joining on its day of release.

Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name tells the story of the once legendary yakuza, Kazuma Kiryu, a man who faked his own death and abandoned his name for the sake of protecting his family. Under the codename “Joryu”, Kiryu embarks on a gripping action narrative with bone-shattering combat that sets the stage for the next instalment of the series, Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, launching January 26, 2024. Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name will come to Xbox Game Pass on release day, November 9.

Like a Dragon: Ishin! is a Samurai epic that launched on Xbox earlier this year. Take up the sword of Sakamoto Ryoma and explore feudal Japan to find your father’s killer, clear yourself of a framed murder, and restore your honor. It will arrive for Xbox Game Pass this year.

Mineko’s Night Market

This adorable social simulation is coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows PC (with Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass) on October 26. New gameplay showed off how the game will allow you to scavenge for materials, craft them, and sell them at your market stall – all while building relationships with the characters around you.

My Lovely Empress

The third in the My Lovely series (following My Lovely Daughter and My Lovely Wife), My Lovely Empress is a new outing for small Indonesian studio, GameChanger Studio. Each game in the series is a management sim that explores the darker impulses in human relationships, and this new entry pushes that to a new level of scale. Playing as the emperor of the Crimson Kingdom, you’ll need to balance the needs of your subjects with your more personal quest to either resurrect your own deceased empress, or a new relationship with the leaders of neighboring kingdoms. My Lovely Empress will come to Xbox consoles and Windows PC in 2024.

Octopath Traveler II

Xbox’s Sarah Bond appeared on stage to help introduce the upcoming Xbox release of Square Enix’s Octopath Traveler II. Sarah revealed that, in the last five years, Xbox has more than doubled the number of Japanese games released on our platforms, and introduced a special message from Square Enix Vice President of Creative Business Unit II, Yu Miyake. Miyake announced that its beautiful HD-2D RPG, Octopath Traveler II will arrive on Xbox platforms in early 2024.

Palworld

This monster-collecting RPG got a new gameplay trailer during the show, showing off new monsters, character customization, multiplayer, base building, crafting, weapons, faction leaders, and more in its gorgeous 3D world. Palworld will arrive for Xbox and Windows in 2024.

Party Animals

Party Animals, the raucous co-op-competitive brawler from Recreate Games announced a partnership with the Ori series (Ori and The Blind Forest, Ori and the Will of the Wisps), which will bring playable versions of both Ori and their adoptive mother Naru to the game.

Persona 3 Reload

Ahead of this epic remake’s release on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Windows PC (with Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass) on February 2, 2024, producer Ryota Niitsuma introduced the game and revealed a brand-new skill that is original to Persona 3 Reload. Theurgy is a flashy, ultimate attack that Niitsuma calls “a trump card for your battles” – meaning there is plenty that’s new and exciting for past players and newcomers alike.

Persona 5 Tactica

The upcoming turn-based tactical take on the critically acclaimed Persona 5 showed off new gameplay, and revealed its new Quest system. Producer Atsushi Nomura explained that Quests are special stages – set aside from the main story – that come with unique clear conditions, but offer sizeable rewards. Taking on a Quest might mean having to beat an enemy in a single turn, or puzzle-style levels involving manoeuvring bombs around a stage – but in return you can earn entirely new personas to use, or high-level skills. Persona 5 Tactica will be released for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows PC (with Xbox Game Pass and PC Game Pass) on November 17, 2023.

PUBG Battlegrounds

In a new trailer, we got a tease of some curious developments to PUBG Battlegrounds’ Erangel map coming this October. The trailer promises more dynamic and mysterious gameplay – and we got a quick look at a hidden, subterranean doorway opening before the teaser ended. Make sure to stay tuned for more details.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty – Conqueror of Jiangdong

Arriving on September 27, Conqueror of Jiangdong is the second of three DLC expansions coming to Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. A new trailer teased its action-packed storyline, and also gave us a glimpse of new weapon types, enemies, and bosses. We also learned that a crossover with Lies of P will bring 2 new weapons to Wo Long on September 27 as well.

Capcom Showcase – Zusammenfassung: Pragmata, Dragon’s Dogma 2, Exoprimal und mehr

Eine vielfältige Reihe kommender PlayStation-Spiele wurde im Capcom Showcase-Livestream enthüllt! Von einem neuen Einblick in das mit Spannung erwartete Dragon’s Dogma 2 bis zur Enthüllung von Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy – für alle Spieler ist etwas dabei.

Erhebt euch, Erweckte, und besiegt den Drachen

Das Capcom Showcase ist tiefer in Dragon’s Dogma 2 eingetaucht, welches erst vor wenigen Wochen spektakulär mit dem PlayStation Showcase enthüllt wurde. Der Game Director, Hideaki Itsuno, hat ein paar Kernelemente des Spiels vorgestellt und verraten, wie die Fortsetzung für PlayStation 5 noch besser werden will.

Im Herzen von Dragon’s Dogma liegen zwei Hauptelemente: Die Vasallen und das erstklassige Action-RPG-Kampfsystem. Die Vasallen sind KI-gesteuerte Begleiter, die eure Abenteuer gemeinsam mit euch bestreiten. Ihr habt einen Hauptvasallen, den ihr nach Lust und Laune anpassen könnt, sowie zwei weitere, die ihr von anderen Spielern anheuern könnt. Mit einer Gruppe aus bis zu vier Mitgliedern könnt auf euren Reisen Gesellschaft und Kameradschaft genießen.

In Dragon’s Dogma 2 dreht sich alles um Entscheidungen. Kämpft mit Schwertern, Bögen oder Magie – die Wahl liegt bei euch. Die Klasse, für die ihr euch entscheidet, bestimmt, wie euer Erweckter kämpft – und es gibt eine riesige Auswahl. Entscheidungen sind außerdem ein integraler Bestandteil des Kampfsystems. Ihr werdet ständig dazu aufgefordert, Situationen auf eure eigene Weise zu begegnen – ob ihr nun sehen wollt, was passiert, wenn ihr eine Brücke zerstört, oder ob ihr ein Monster zu Fall bringen wollt, indem ihr an seinem Bein zieht.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 nutzt Capcoms RE Engine und erschafft so eine dicht bevölkerte Welt – etwa viermal so groß wie im Original –, die eng verwoben mit der neuesten Grafik- und Physiktechnologie und Charakter-KI ist, um euch die bestmögliche Fantasy-Welt zu bieten.

Zwei wichtige Charaktere, die auf den Reisen des Erweckten eine große Rolle spielen werden, werden in der Key-Art dargestellt. Ulrika, eine Bogenschützin mit einer tiefen Verbindung zum Erweckten, und Nadinia, eine Hohepriesterin aus der neuen Rasse der Bestien, werden großen Einfluss auf das Schicksal des Erweckten ausüben.

Ein Trio aus Ace Attorney-Spielen wird in den Zeugenstand gerufen

Mit einer verbesserten HD-Grafik, einer optimierten Benutzeroberfläche und einer Lokalisierung in sieben Sprachen ist diese Sammlung die beste Möglichkeit, das vierte, fünfte und sechste Spiel des beliebten Franchise zu erleben.

Begleitet Apollo Justice auf seiner Mission, die Ordnung im Gerichtssaal wiederherzustellen und das dunkle Zeitalter des Gesetzes zu beenden – in Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney Trilogy, welches im Frühjahr 2024 für PS4 erscheint.

Ein Einblick in Pragmata

Das Capcom Showcase hat uns einen ersten Einblick in das Gameplay von Pragmata gewährt – eine originelle, neue Idee aus dem Hause Capcom. Der Trailer hat uns den Protagonisten des Spiels gezeigt, der in einer nicht allzu weit entfernten dystopischen Zukunft auf einer Mondwelt lebt und dort gegen Roboter kämpft.

Neben dem Einblick in die Welt und die Charaktere des Spiels hat uns das Team außerdem mitgeteilt, dass der Veröffentlichungszeitraum nach hinten verschoben wurde. Aber seid versichert, dass das Entwicklerteam hart daran arbeitet, eine unvergessliche Erfahrung zu schaffen, die das Warten wert sein wird.

Spielt Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective … noch heute!

Der Schöpfer der Ace Attorney-Reihe, Shu Takumi, hat beim Capcom Showcase offenbart, dass die Demoversion von Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective ab heute für PS4 verfügbar ist.

In dieser überarbeiteten HD-Version des Mystery-Klassikers spielt ihr einen Mann namens Sissel, der die Kräfte der Toten nutzen muss, um das Rätsel seines eigenen Todes zu lösen. Manipuliert Objekte oder ergreift von ihnen Besitz, dreht die Zeit vor dem Tod eines Menschen zurück und sammelt Hinweise, um grausame Schicksale abzuwenden.

Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective erscheint am 30. Juni, also hoffen wir, dass ihr euch darauf freut, das Geheimnis um Sissels Schicksal zu lüften!

In Exoprimal beginnen bald die Kriegsspiele

Mit rasender Geschwindigkeit nähert sich Exoprimal seiner Veröffentlichung am 14. Juli für PlayStation 5 und PlayStation 4! Das Capcom Showcase hat einen zweiten Testdurchgang in der offenen Beta angekündigt, der später in dieser Woche stattfinden soll, sowie einen neuen Koop-Modus für 5 Spieler und eine neue Exosuit-Variante angeteasert.

In Exoprimals zweitem Testdurchgang in der offenen Beta erwarten euch Dinosaurierhorden – ab Donnerstag, dem 15. Juni, 17:00 Uhr PDT bis zum Sonntag, dem 18. Juni, 16:59 Uhr PDT. Dieser Testdurchgang in der offenen Beta beinhaltet Koop-Missionen für 10 Spielerinnen und Spieler sowie zusätzliche Storyinhalte, die ihr auf keinen Fall verpassen wollt. Wir haben einen besonderen Spielmodus namens Savage Gauntlet angekündigt, in welchem ihr 5-Spieler-Koop-Missionen spielen könnt, die sich wöchentlich ändern. Messt euch mit anderen Spielern weltweit in einem Rennen gegen die Zeit!

Außerdem haben wir eine neue Exosuit-Variante angekündigt, Deadeye Alpha: Burst Fire, welche mit einer vielseitigen Waffe ausgestattet ist, die Feuerstöße abgeben oder als Schrotflinte benutzt werden kann. Deadeye Alpha und weitere Varianten werden in einem Update nach Veröffentlichung des Spiels hinzugefügt.

Exoprimal im Praxistest: Kämpft mit euren Freunden gegen Horden von Dinos

In der düsteren Zukunft von Exoprimal hatte der Klimawandel ganz andere Auswirkungen, als wir alle gedacht hätten. Anstatt steigender Meeresspiegel und Hitzewellen muss sich die Menschheit nun mit vom Himmel fallenden, blutrünstigen Horden hungriger Dinosaurier herumschlagen Zum Glück gibt es den AIBIUS-Konzern, der die aus der Vergangenheit gerissenen Viecher mit seinen topmodernen Exosuits erneut auslöschen kann – dazu braucht es nur Frischfleisch, das sich in die Rüstungen quetscht.

Vergangenes Wochenende konnten Spieler die offene Beta von Exoprimal selbst erleben und mit (und gegen) anderen Spielern die Kaltblüter vom Antlitz der Erde der Zukunft wischen. Aber keine Sorge, wenn ihr dieses Event verpasst habt: Wir sind für euch in das einzigartige PvE-Chaos von Exoprimal eingetaucht und haben alle Infos für euch parat.

Dino-Survival

In der Beta von Exoprimal drehte sich alles um Dino-Survival – einen Multiplayer-Modus, in dem zwei Teams aus je fünf Spielern gegeneinander antreten und der gleichzeitig auch der Hauptmodus des Spiels sein wird, das im Juli veröffentlicht wird. Nach der Charaktererstellung und einen kurzen Tutorial zur Steuerung werdet ihr mit anderen frischen Rekruten in eine Lobby geworfen, auf zwei Teams aufgeteilt und in eine Simulation verfrachtet, die von Leviathan erschaffen wurde, einer fortschrittlichen KI, die die bevorstehenden Kriegsspiele überwacht. Die Siegbedingungen sind simpel: Euer Team muss Leviathans Ziele als erstes abschließen. Aber das ist einfacher gesagt, als getan, vor allem, wenn jedes Mal Unmengen an wahnsinnig gewordenen Reptilien aus einer anderen Dimension zwischen euch und der Erfüllung dieser Ziele stehen.

Die Wahl der richtigen Exosuits

Nachdem ihr ja im Team spielt, sind Kooperation und Koordination besonders wichtig. Jeder Exosuit hat eigene Vorteile im Kampf und nur ein guter Mix garantiert, dass ihr überhaupt eine Chance auf Erfolg habt. In der Beta waren alle Exosuits verfügbar. Aufgeteilt waren sie auf folgende Kategorien:

Angriff (Deadeye, Zephyr, Barrage, Vigilant): Auf Angriff getrimmte Suits, mit denen sich Dinos mit verschiedenen Fern- und Nahkampfangriffen in ihre Einzelteile zerlegen lassen.

Tank (Roadblock, Krieger, Murasame): Schwer gepanzerte Einheiten, die jede Menge Schaden einstecken können – aber im Bedarf auch ordentlich austeilen können.

Unterstützung (Witchdoctor, Skywave, Nimbus): Schnelle, agile Suits, die Verbündete heilen und stärken oder Gegner schwächen können.

Selbst innerhalb einer Kategorie haben die einzelnen Suits unterschiedliche Aufgaben. In der Unterstützungskategorie gibt es beispielsweise den Witchdoctor, der auf Reparaturen und Stärkungen ausgelegt ist und sich auf dem Schlachtfeld ziemlich flink bewegen kann, aber in Sachen Mobilität dem hybriden Heiler-Angreifer auf Rädern namens Nimbus nicht das Wasser reichen kann. Und keiner von beiden kann so anmutig durch die Luft gleiten wie Skywave, der Verbündete mit Heilwellen von oben herab unterstützt und ganze Gegnerhorden mit Schwächungen verflucht – und das alles aus sicherer Entfernung. (Bis zum Eintreffen der Flugsaurier.)

Roadblock ist der typische Tank: nicht sonderlich flott unterwegs, jede Menge Lebenspunkte, extrastarke Schilde. Aber Beta-Spieler haben auch Gefallen an Murasame gefunden, ein schnellerer Suit, der mehr auf Nahkampfangriffe ausgelegt ist. Damit könnt ihr nicht nur mitten in eine Gruppe Dinos reinspringen und Dutzende von ihnen niedermetzeln, bis eure Lebenspunkte zur Neige gehen, sondern ihr könnt auch mit Bedacht auf die Gegner zustürmen und zum Gegenschlag ausholen, um sie mit Finesse abzuschlachten.

Jeder dieser Exosuits hat seine eigene Persönlichkeit – und das meinen wir wortwörtlich, denn sie haben alle eine eigene Stimme, die sie auch nutzen, um das Kampfgeschehen zu kommentieren. Außerdem steuert sich jeder Suit auch anders und verfügt über einzigartige Fähigkeiten, mit denen er seine archetypische Rolle auf interessante und kreative Weise erfüllen kann. Das Beste daran ist, dass ihr auch mitten im Kampf in einen neuen Suit schlüpfen könnt, solltet ihr feststellen, dass eurem Team das gewisse Etwas fehlt. Damit ist gewährleistet, dass ihr jederzeit Zugriff auf kritische Rollen habt. Die versprochene Suit-Personalisierung mit Skins und Modulen war in der Beta zwar noch stark eingeschränkt, aber sie konnten bereits mit „Rigs“ und besonderer Ausrüstung mit verschiedenen Effekten angepasst werden.

Matchverlauf

Die Kämpfe in der Beta liefen nach folgendem Schema ab: Fünf PvE-Aufgaben gingen einer finalen, direkteren PvP-Konfrontation voran. Die PvE-Aufgaben waren nicht sonderlich schwer zu verstehen: eine Bande Dinos killen, ein Ziel oder einen NSC über einen bestimmten Zeitraum beschützen oder einen echt großen, echt fiesen Dino ausschalten. Nach Absolvieren jeder Aufgabe teilt euch Leviathan mit, ob ihr vorne liegt oder dem anderen Team hinterherhinkt.

Alle Aufgaben haben eines gemeinsam: Ihr mäht jede Menge Dinosaurier nieder. Die Strategie, die ihr einsetzen müsst, hängt davon ab, welches Ziel es zu erfüllen gilt und welche Dinosaurier sich euch in den Weg stellen. Müsst ihr eine gewaltige Flut an Pteranodons zurückhalten oder auf Tuchfühlung mit einem Stegosaurier gehen? Die falsche Herangehensweise kann dazu führen, dass ihr in Windeseile von einem Dinoschwarm überrannt oder von einem Triceratops aus der Karte geschleudert werdet.

Leviathan begnügt sich jedoch nicht damit – noch zu wenig Wahnsinn für seinen Geschmack. Er treibt gerne Schabernack und wirft gelegentlich Sachen aufs Schlachtfeld, wenn ihm danach ist. Zum Beispiel mutierte Neosaurier, die durch die Reisen durch die Dimensionen zu etwas gänzlich Neuem und viel Aggressiverem wurden. Wenn er lustig ist, schenkt er euch aber vielleicht auch etwas, was euch helfen kann, wie einen mobilen Geschützturm, schwebende Plattformen oder Barrieren, die ihr nach Lust und Laune aufstellen könnt. Vielleicht spendiert er euch sogar einen Dominator-Gegenstand, wenn er gerade richtig großzügig drauf ist und das andere Team euch davonzieht. Damit könnt ihr dann euren eigenen gewaltigen, wütenden Dinosaurier beschwören und kontrollieren, um dem gegnerischen Team direkt einzuheizen – zumindest für eine kurze Zeit.

Die letzte Hürde

Die PvP-Kämpfe am Ende einer Partie unterschieden sich bei jedem Match, aber hier kann sich das Blatt nochmal auf besonders dramatische Art und Weise wenden.

Datentransport: Euer Trupp muss einen großen, schweren Datenwürfel an sein Ziel bringen, während Dinosaurier und das gegnerische Team ihn zerstören wollen.

Energieraub: Beide Teams sammeln Energie, die auf dem Schlachtfeld verteilt ist, um eine Leiste zu füllen – und stehlen dem jeweils anderen Team Energie, indem sie seine Mitglieder in die Luft jagen.

Omega-Offensive: Ein Spieler trägt die Verantwortung dafür, einen gewaltigen Hammer aufzunehmen und zu beschützen, während er ihn mit der Energie erledigter Dinosaurier auflädt, um damit ein Ziel zu zerstören. Der Rest des Teams muss den Träger sowohl vor den Dinosauriern als auch vor den Angriffen des gegnerischen Teams beschützen.

Die Beta von Exoprimal hat schonmal Lust auf das Massenaussterben gemacht, das euch am 14. Juli erwartet. Das Capcom Spotlight 4 brachte auch eine Reihe von großen Neuigkeiten für den kommenden Start des Online-Team-basierten Spiels Exoprimal.

Das Spiel, das zuerst vor genau einem Jahr bei der State of Play im März 2022 vorgestellt wurde, ist ein ganz neues Spiel von Capcom, in dem ihr in die Rolle eines Exofighters schlüpft, der für die Aibius Corporation arbeitet. Ihr steuert dabei hochmoderne Exosuits und arbeitet zusammen, um Horden der größten Monster der Geschichte – Dinosaurier – zu bekämpfen.

Im heutigen Trailer wurden alle zehn Exosuits in Action gezeigt – und ein erster Blick auf mehr der Konflikte, die die Hammerheads erwarten, den Squad, dem ihr beitreten werdet. Als Ace werdet ihr euch mit eurer bunten Crew bekannt machen: Alders, Majesty, Sandy der Android und Chief Lorenzo, Anführer der Hammerheads. Dabei arbeitet ihr zusammen, um das zeitsplittende Geheimnis von Bikitoa Island zu lüften: wieso die Hammerheads und Leviathans für immer gegeneinander kämpfen.

Wir haben auch Details zum kommenden Survival Pass geteilt, der Spieler dafür belohnt, wenn sie im Spiel voran kommen und sowohl kostenlose als auch Premium-Ebenen mitbringt. Survival Pass Season 1: Premium Tier wird euch ermöglichen, noch mehr kosmetische Items freizuschalten, darunter 19 zusätzliche Exosuit-Skins, 10 Waffenskins, 4 Emotes und mehr.

Zum Open Beta Test gehören zehn spielbare Exosuits, mit denen ihr ein Gefühl dafür bekommt, wie sie sich gegenüber der Dinosaurierhorden (und gegnerischer Teams) im Hauptmodus, Dino Survival, verhalten. Habt ihr eure bisherige Zeit im Kamura Village mit Monster Hunter Rise auf PS5 und PS4 genossen? Wir haben noch viel mehr in petto. Macht euch bereit für eine Jagd auf einem ganz anderen Niveau mit der nächsten riesigen Expansion, Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak, die am 28. April 2023 startet.

Nach den Ereignissen des Hauptspiels reist ihr von Elgado Outpost mit Dame Fiorayne, um neue grausige Monster zu jagen. Ihr werdet einige neue Gesichter treffen, neue Orte bereisen und euren Jagdhorizont erweitern, während ihr in die Geheimnisse eintaucht, die das Königreich bedrohen.

Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak bringt mehrere herausfordernde neue Monster mit, zu denen auch der von westlichem Horror inspirierte Three Lords gehört. Der mächtige und felsartige Garangolm, der eisige, wolfartige Lunagaron und der alte Drachen, das Aushängeschildmonster Malzeno führen eine Reihe von neuen und bekannten Monstern an.

Die Erweiterung bringt euch auch neue Jagdaktionen wie den Switch Skill Swap, der euch ermöglicht, euer Switch Skill Set spontan zu ändern, sowie die neuen Silkbind und Switch Skills, die noch mehr Kampfoptionen für jede der 14 neuen Waffentypen im Spiel mitbringen.

Ab dem 28. April startet Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak mit allem Post-Release-Content bis zu Free Title Update 3 (Ver.13), was grausige Begegnungen wie Chaotic Gore Magala und andere mächtige und herausfordernde Monster beinhaltet. Von Ace Attorneys Shu Takumi erschaffen lässt euch dieses klassische übernatürliche Rätselspiel in die Rolle eines Geistes schlüpfen, der nur eine Nacht Zeit hat, das Geheimnis seines eigenen Todes zu lösen. Setzt die Mächte ein Komma die euch schon der Titel des Spiels verspricht: „Ghost“ und „Trick“ helfen euch, euer Schicksal zu ändern. Ihr könnt in der Geisterwelt Gegenstände einnehmen und manipulieren und sie dann in der echten Welt tricksen, um das Schicksal zu ändern.

In dieser aktualisierten Version könnt ihr euch auf hochauflösende Grafiken, eine höhere Frame Rate, ein aktualisiertes User Interface, mehr Sprachen und ein Challenges-Feature freuen, indem ihr Illustrationen und Musik aus dem Spiel verdienen könnt.

Bei der heutigen Capcom Spotlight wurde auch angekündigt, dass Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective neu arrangierte Versionen aller 37 Musikstücke im Spiel mitbringen wird. Yasumasa Kitagawa von der Serie The Great Ace Attorney führte die neuen Arrangements an, während der ursprüngliche Komponist, Masakazu Sugimori, ein ganz neues Musikstück erschaffen hat, um diese neue Version des Spiels zu feiern.

Die Mega Man Battle Network Legacy Collection kommt in etwas weniger als einem Monat! Diese Sammlung bring 10 beliebte Titel zum ersten Mal auf PlayStation-Plattformen – alle in einer EXEllenten Kollektion.

Arbeitet mit Lan Hikari und seinem NetNavi, MegaMan.EXE, daran, unendliche Cybercrimes in der echten Welt und in der verbundenen Online-Cyberworld zu lösen!

Der Directordes des Spiels, Masakazu Eguchi aka Mr. Famous, teilte bei der Capcom Spotlight zusätzliche Details zur kommenden Spielesammlung.

Alle 499 Patch Cards, die ihr in Battle Network 4, 5 und 6 einsetzen könnt, sind in dieser Kollektion vorhanden. Diese optionalen Karten gab es ursprünglich nur physisch in Japan zu kaufen. Jetzt könnt ihr Patch Cards nutzen, Item Cards, Event Cards, Character Cards und Special Cards, um das Spiel noch mehr zu genießen oder fiese Gegner auf neue Weisen zu besiegen.

Buster MAX Mode ist ein neuer Modus, der jetzt zur Kollektion gehört, und den Schaden normaler MegaBuster-Shots mit 100 multipliziert, sodass ihr locker die Geschichte genießen und Kämpfe beschleunigen könnt. Die letzte Kommentatorin von Street Fighter 6 ist enthüllt

Die beliebte japanische Schauspielerin Hikaru Takahashi wurde als letzte Kommentatorin für Street Fighter 6 und das Feature Real Time Commentary enthüllt. Real Time Commentary setzt die Stimmen bekannter Persönlichkeiten und Kommentatoren der Fighting Game Community (FGC) ein, um die Action im Spiel leicht verständlich zu erklären und gleichzeitig mehr Kamfgeist in eure Spiele zu bringen – für euer zuhause. Das Feature kommt mit Untertiteln in 13 Sprachen, die euch mehr Accessibility und Spielspaß bringen.

Mit Hikaru gibt es nun vier Play-By-Play-Kommentatoren, zu denen Vicious, Aru, Kosuke Hiraiwa und Tasty Steve gehören, und vier Color-Kommentaroren: Hikaru Takahashi, Thea Trinidad (auch bekannt als WWE-Superstar Zelina Vega), H.E. Demon Kakka und James Chen.
