Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles, the video game adaptation of the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime, is now on sale for the PlayStation®4, PlayStation®5!

Post-launch Update for Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles added Rui, Akaza, Yahaba, Susamaru, Enmu, and Yushiro & Tamayo to Versus Mode as playable characters!

■Rui (Voiced by: Koki Uchiyama)

Lower Five of the “Twelve Kizuki”, servants of Muzan Kibutsuji.
He operates out of Mount Natagumo, and is a demon with a childlike appearance.
He masterfully wields his sharp and sturdy threads of steel, while also maintaining control over his “family” through fear.
■Akaza (Voiced by: Akira Ishida)

Upper Three of the “Twelve Kizuki”, servants of Muzan Kibutsuji.
He’s a fighter who only wishes to reach the peak of his strength.
He relishes battles against powerful opponents and greatly detests those he considers weak.
■Yahaba (Voiced by: Jun Fukuyama)

A demon who teamed up with Susamaru to attack Tanjiro in Asakusa under Kibutsuji’s orders. He has eyes on both hands and can generate arrows that manipulate directional forces with his Blood Demon Art.
■Susamaru (Voiced by: Mikako Komatsu)

A demon who teamed up with Yahaba to attack Tanjiro in Asakusa under Kibutsuji’s orders. She has the appearance of a young girl and unleashes devastating attacks when throwing her mari.
■Enmu (Voiced by: Daisuke Hirakawa)

Lower One of the Twelve Kizuki, who serve under Kibutsuji’s direct command. He has a twisted personality and savors the sight of people’s sorrow and grief. After being granted blood from Kibutsuji himself, he attacked Tanjiro and the other Demon Slayers who went aboard the Mugen Train.
■Yushiro & Tamayo

Tamayo researches demons with the hope of taking revenge on Kibutsuji, the man who turned her into one.
Yushiro is a young man whose life was saved by Tamayo by turning him into a demon – her only successful attempt thus far in her research.

In Adventure Mode, follow Tanjiro Kamado through the story from the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime by diving in and taking control yourself!

This game includes the events of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc where Tanjiro would begin his journey, join the Demon Slayer Corps and fight a variety of demons, as well as Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train where he was accompanied by the Flame Hashira, Kyojuro Rengoku!

The fights against the demons from the anime are given new life with incredible graphics!

＜Versus Mode＞

12 characters from the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba anime, including Tanjiro Kamado and Nezuko Kamado, are joined by 6 characters from the series’ official spinoff, Junior High and High School!! Kimetsu Academy Story, for a total of 18 characters where you can choose any combination of 2 characters to take part in battles!

Also, as part of free Post-launch Updates, Rui & Akaza (Update #1), Yahaba & Susamaru (Update #2), as well as Enmu & Yushiro/Tamayo (Update #3) were added as playable characters for Versus Mode.

Yahaba und Susamaru fallen in Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles ein

Hi ihr! Nachdem wir im Oktober Rui und Akaza zum Spiel hinzugefügt haben, freuen wir uns, das zweite der kostenlosen Post-Launch-Updates anzukündigen, das ab sofort verfügbar ist für Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles.

Im neuen Update werden zwei weitere Charaktere dem Versus-Modus hinzugefügt: Yahaba und Susamaru, die ich euch in diesem Artikel vorstellen möchte.

Yahaba (Synchronsprechher: Jun Fukuyama)

Der erste ist Yahaba (gesprrochen von Jun Fukuyama), eine bedrohliche Figur, die sich mit Susmaru verbündet, um Tanjiro in Asakusa unter Kibutsujis Kommanda anzugreifen. Er hat Augen auf beiden Händen und kann Pfeile produzieren, die Richtungskräfte mit seiner Blutdämonenkunst beeinflussen – was ihn gefährlich in Distanzkämpfen macht.

Während diese Pfeile selbst keinen Schaden verursachen, könnt ihr damit doch erheblich Schaden anrichten: Treffen sie einen Gegner, könnt ihr den damit in den Boden rammen (was Schaden verursacht) oder ihr könnt sie auf Steine anwenden, die ihr in die Gegner schleudert. Ihr solltet diese Möglichkeit im Kopf haben, wenn ihr Yahaba spielt.

Susamaru (Synchronsprecherin: Mikako Komatsu)

Susamaru (gesprochen von Mikako Komatsu) ist ein Dämon mit dem Aussehen eines jungen Mädchens, das Tanjiro in Asakusa mit Yahaba angreift. Mithilfe ihrer mächtigen Mari (dekorativen Fadenbällen) kann sie Gegner auf Distanz halten. Im Spiel macht sie das besonders stark gegen Demon Slayer Corps, die eher im Nahkampf stark sind.

Susamari kämpft, indem sie ihre Mari gegen einen Gegner schleudert und sich dabei über das Feld bewegt. Sie sind eine tolle Möglichkeit, einen Gegner dazu zu bekommen, aus der Deckung zu gehen und ermöglichen effektive Kombos, die viel Schaden anrichten können.

Neuer 60-fps-Modus

Und ihr bekommt mit diesem Update einen neuen 60-fps-Modus für PlayStation 5. In diesem Modus werden steuerbare Bereiche der Erforschung und Kämpfe im Story-Modus und bestimmte steuerbare Bereiche im Offline-Versus-Modus spielbar mit 60 fps.

Neben diesen neuen spielbaren Dämonen und dem 60-fps-Modus wurden weitere Online-Missionen zum Spiel hinzugefügt, mit denen ihr Kimetsu-Punkte verdienen und neue Belohnungen freischalten könnt wie neue Zitate und Profilbilder. Yahaba and Susamaru invade Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles

Hello there, everyone! After adding Rui and Akaza to the game back in October, we are excited to announce the second in the series of free post-launch content updates is now available in Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles.

This new update adds two more characters to the Versus mode roster: Yahaba and Susamaru. In this article, we would like to introduce these two new playable demons and how they’re represented in The Hinokami Chronicles.

Yahaba (Voice Actor: Jun Fukuyama)

First up is Yahaba (voiced by Jun Fukuyama), a menacing figure who teams up with Susamaru to ambush Tanjiro in Asakusa under Kibutsuji’s orders. He has eyes on both of his hands and can generate arrows that manipulate directional forces with his Blood Demon Art, making him dangerous in long-ranged battles.

While these arrows cannot deal damage by themselves, once they pierce an enemy, they can be used to either slam an opponent into the ground (which does deal damage) or they can be used on rocks to hurl at opponents. Players will need to keep these options in mind while playing as Yahaba.

Susamaru (Voice Actor: Mikako Komatsu)

Susamaru (voiced by Mikako Komatsu) is a demon with the appearance of a young girl who attacks Tanjiro in Asakusa alongside Yahaba. Through the use of her powerful mari (decorative thread balls), she can keep her distance from any opponent. In-game, this makes her particularly strong against Demon Slayer Corps who favor close range combat.

Susamari fights by hurling her mari towards the enemy while actively moving around the field. They are a great way to lure an opponent into letting down their guard and set up effective combos that can deal high amounts of damage.

60fps Mode Added

Also, in this update, a new 60fps mode has been added to the PlayStation 5 version of the game. Within this mode, the controllable sections of exploration and combat in Story mode and certain controllable sections in the offline Versus mode will be playable in 60fps.

Alongside these new playable demons and the 60fps mode, more online missions have been added to the game for players to complete to earn Kimetsu Points and unlock new rewards, such as new quotes and profile photos. Be sure to download and install the latest update (v1.20) today to unlock all this great new content.

Tanjiro Kamado（Voiced by: Natsuki Hanae）

A kindhearted boy.
He lived a blissful existence with his mother and siblings, but was attacked by demons while he was out working.
He joins the Demon Slayer Corps in order to turn his sister Nezuko, who has become a demon, back into a human, as well as to avenge the death of his family by hunting down the demon who killed them.
Under the tutelage of Sakonji Urokodaki, he learns to wield “Water Breathing”, so that he can face the demon threat.
Nezuko Kamado（Voiced by: Akari Kitō）

Tanjiro’s younger sister, who’s been turned into a demon.
Despite being a demon, she never attacks humans, thanks to both Urokodaki’s hypnotic suggestion, and her own willpower. She joins Tanjiro in his fight against the demons using her own demonic powers.
Zenitsu Agatsuma（Voiced by: Hiro Shimono）

He joins the Demon Slayer Corps at the same time as Tanjiro and Inosuke.
He has an acute sense of hearing, and can identify the sounds made by other people or demons.
In battle, when he is scared to death, he falls asleep and his personality changes to the swordsman that can unleash his “Thunder Breathing”.
Inosuke Hashibira（Voiced by: Yoshitsugu Matsuoka）

He joins the Demon Slayer Corps at the same time as Tanjiro and Zenitsu.
He is a very aggressive boy, and is always seen wearing a wild boar mask and uses his “Beast Breathing” to rush headlong into battles.
Giyu Tomioka（Voiced by: Takahiro Sakurai）

Giyu Tomioka is the stoic swordsman that fights using his “Water Breathing”, and the Water Hashira that led Tanjiro towards joining the Demon Slayer Corps.
Sakonji Urokodaki（Voiced by: Hōchū Ōtsuka）

The man in the tengu mask.
He’s a cultivator of prospective Demon Slayers, who lives at the foot of Mount Sagiri, and the one that trained Tanjiro.
Sabito（Voiced by: Yūki Kaji）

The boy in the fox mask that Tanjiro meets while training on Mount Sagiri. He is one Urokodaki’s former students.
Makomo（Voiced by: Ai Kakuma）

The girl in the fox mask that Tanjiro meets while training on Mount Sagiri. She is one of Urokodaki’s former students.
Shinobu Kocho（Voiced by: Saori Hayami）

One of the Hashiras of the Demon Slayer Corps, the Insect Hashira, who uses “Insect Breathing”.
Whether it’s a human or demon, she’ll maintain a polite demeanor while never letting her smile fade.
Kyojuro Rengoku（Voiced by: Satoshi Hino）

One of the Hashiras of the Demon Slayer Corps, the Flame Hashira, who uses “Flame Breathing”.
He’s cheerful and eccentric, but never one to mince words.
Tanjiro Kamado (Hinokami Kagura)（Voiced by: Natsuki Hanae）

During the battle at Mount Natagumo, he remembered the memory of his late father’s kagura dance, and applied that movement to learn a new Breathing “Hinokami Kagura”
Murata（Voiced by: Kōki Miyata）

Tanjiro’s senior Demon Slayer who fights using “Water Breathing”.
He has joined the Mount Natagumo mission and even got to show off a bit of his bravery.

Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles comes to PS5 October 15

We are proud to reveal our first game footage of “Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles” “Tsuzumi Mansion” episode in solo play mode. In this broadcast we give a brief look at PS5 gameplay.

The game’s solo play mode features the stories of the anime’s “Tanjiro Kamado, Unwavering Resolve Arc” up through the “Mugen Train Arc,” where players walk the path of the protagonist, Tanjiro Kamado, and re-experience his story. Players will find themselves immersed in the world of “Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba” as depicted in the manga and anime as they explore the locations and battle demons alongside familiar allies.

In the solo play mode’s “Tsuzumi Mansion” episode, players will get to take control of other characters besides Tanjiro, including Zenitsu Agatsuma and Inosuke Hashibira. As these characters, they will be besieged by attacking demons as they explore inside.

While Tanjiro has a basic skillset with high controllability, Zenitsu’s and Inosuke’s fighting styles are different. Zenitsu uses his speed to his advantage, employing his only skill in a way that allows for continuous attacks. Inosuke has high offensive capabilities and impressive charging skills. Please enjoy the various character skills, controllability, mannerisms, and dialogue featured in the solo play mode!

The game is heading toward a global release on October 15, 2021. We look forward to telling you more about both the game’s solo play and Versus modes, so stay tuned!
