Cave Digger 2 is Out Now on Xbox: Multiplayer Co-op and Crossplay for Everyone

As the meme goes, the real treasure is the friends you made along the way. Even more so if you are planning to go mining for gold and valuable gems, as you have more hands and backpacks to take the loot out.

For the second anniversary of Cave Digger 2: Dig Harder, our latest VR game, we wanted to bring the mines to everyone. Thus, we started working on a version of Cave Digger 2 for flat screens and consoles.

For those of you who haven’t heard of Cave Digger 2 before, welcome to an action-adventure game where you can explore the old mines, natural formations, and ancient ruins in wildland valleys .

What do you do there? You start as a prospector with only a pickaxe. You dig for loot and trade the mined valuables for new gadgets, areas, funky fashion, and more. All while you try not to die by the hands of the local fauna.

Compared to the first game of the series, we wanted to have players join forces with friends or other members of the community and adventure together. And so we did, and added co-op multiplayer to Cave Digger 2: Dig Harder.

However, quite often VR players have friends who don’t own any headset or don’t like playing in virtual reality, even if a game seems interesting. So, we decided to build a bridge between the two worlds with Cave Digger 2: Dig Harder.

The goal was ambitious: multiplayer co-op and crossplaying from all consoles and all systems, in VR or non-VR. Our team had an interesting challenge ahead. Not only did we have to implement each platform’s own multiplayer requirements, but we had to make sure that everything was working between the three VR versions and between the four flat versions. That took a lot of resources, from both our coding and testing teams.

It was tough, but since you are reading this article right now, it worked! Now go take a pickaxe with you, grab some dynamite, ping your friends, and head into the caves to unearth the secrets they keep!

SpiderHeck Just Got Cross-Platform Support: Learn How to Become a Particle Blade-Wielding Master

Your crazy showdown with friends will become even crazier with the release of an update for SpiderHeck, which will introduce platform cross-play, allowing everyone to play together! This update will bring even more particle blade masters, web swingers, and lava swimmers into the game!

In this article, we want to share with you some tips (and cool tricks!) that will surely help you impress not only your friends and the WHOLE Internet, but also help you emerge victorious from the most breathtaking battles!

Be Unpredictable

Did you know that throwing weapons from your claws can be useful? Well, of course, you should always change unsuitable and broken weapons. But you can throw your particle blade at an enemy and then pull it back, hitting the opponent on the side where they don’t have a pair or two of eyes!

You can even charge the blade before throwing it to enhance the knockback effect. In theory, hehe.

Try catching particle blades or grenades launched from the blade or grenade launchers. That’s something your opponents will definitely not expect. Boom!

Use Your Spider… Agility!

Mines activate only upon contact with the surface of platforms or with weapons, so technically, you can juggle them indefinitely, even if they are armed. You’re welcome.

You can also “knock off” weapons from the field with your shots to deprive opponents of the opportunity to pick up a new gun or sword. Or, you can throw a weapon to yourself, although, let’s be honest here, that’s just showing off! Of course if you’re really clever, you can shoot a gravity grenade right into your enemy… Be cunning and surprising.

This may seem obvious, but… all objects in the game interact with trampolines and portals. Aerotubes also affect the trajectory of projectiles and weapons. Use this wisely, and try not to squish yourself with a random crate.

A Few Super-Pro-MLG Tips!

If you are flying through air with some speed, you can shoot a web slightly behind and above you (30 degrees, give or take) to gain some height, even if you have nothing to attach to. Yes, imagine it’s like a spider jetpack.

If you’re agile enough, you can hold an active laser cube in your claw and even move with it. What a terrible thing, why oh why is this possible in the game?!

Macht euch bereit für die großen Updates für Warface: Breakout im Jahr 2020

Beim Design von Warface: Breakout hatten wir immer ein Spielerlebnis im Sinn, das sich weiterentwickelt. Seit der Veröffentlichung des Spiels konnten die Spieler während Saison 1 schon einiges an Können beweisen, als sie auf Seiten der Warden oder der Reaper gekämpft haben – und wir streben bereits große Neuerungen und Verbesserungen an.

My.Games und Allods Team haben vor Kurzem den Entwicklungsplan 2020 für Warface: Breakout enthüllt, der ab sofort bis zum Ende des Jahres gilt und drei Saisons mit kostenlosen Inhaltsupdates umfasst. Zudem sind ästhetische und technische Verbesserungen geplant, darunter Server mit einer Tickrate von 60. Wir wollen außerdem mehrere neue Karten, tägliche Quests und Herausforderungen, neue Spielmodi und festliche Events für Halloween und Weihnachten hinzufügen.

Wir haben bereits in Saison 1 das Spiel verbessert – beispielsweise durch Neuerungen wie die Ranking-Matches – und deshalb wollen wir auch in Saison 2 nicht mit großen neuen Features geizen.

Derzeit haben wir Crossplay im Visier, wodurch die Plattformbarrieren schon im Laufe von Saison 2 fallen werden. Dann werdet ihr mit euren Freunden spielen können, auch wenn sie auf einem anderen System zocken. Mit Waffenfortschrittsmissionen werdet ihr neue Skins und Herausforderungskarten für die ausgewählte Waffe freischalten können, und schon bald wird zudem euer gesamtes Spielerlebnis in einem detaillierten Profil festgehalten. Am Ende des Jahres werden wir dann noch ein Clan-System integrieren und das Ganze mit dem neuen Zuschauermodus abrunden, der im Dezember mit Saison 3 erscheint.

Ihr kennt Warface: Breakout noch nicht? Dieser taktische Egoshooter spielt in der nahen Zukunft auf einer Erde, die vom Krieg zwischen zwei Söldnerfraktionen – den Wardens und den Reapers – heimgesucht wird, die erbittert um die Vorherrschaft kämpfen.
