We love hearing from members of the community and sharing the stories of amazing young people, volunteers, and educators who are using their passion for technology to create positive change in the world around them.
Seung Woo, also known as Tony, is a 17-year-old student from Canada and the co-founder of his school’s Code Club, alongside his teacher, Kay. A curious and driven teen with big ambitions in computer science, Tony is not only passionate about technology, but also dedicated to building a safe, welcoming space where others can learn, explore, and grow alongside him.
A spark of inspiration
Tony’s fascination with computers started early, driven by his love of video games, coding, and, perhaps most memorably, his admiration for Tony Stark, the comic-book and film character who becomes the superhero Iron Man! The idea of building something powerful from scratch stuck with him.
“My whole life, I have been curious about the inner workings of a computer and my inspiration for coding is Tony Stark or Iron Man from the Marvel Cinematic Universe!”
Tony’s early coding journey wasn’t without its challenges. Finding the right resources was difficult, and staying motivated during tough moments was often hard without a support system.
“Like many others, I was independently taught, and during this time of independent learning I’d find many different roadblocks and challenges that I had to overcome alone. A big setback for me was finding the right resources in order to learn how to code. Another big obstacle for me was motivation. I would find myself losing interest in a project. I didn’t have the exterior motivation to help me push through the inevitable hardships that come with coding.”
That’s where the idea for a coding club began to take shape.
Creating a community of coders
Tony co-founded the Code Club at Collège Jeanne-Sauvé in December 2024 with that exact vision in mind — he wanted to provide a fun, collaborative, and welcoming environment where students of all skill levels could explore their love of technology together.
“I created the coding club to help everyone on their journey of computer science, no matter their skill level, and that is exactly what it is turning out to be. Finding resources is easier than ever with a teacher and all of the amazing members.”
Tony’s teacher and co-founder, Kay, shared why Code Club was the right fit for the school.
“I thought Code Club was the best way to start our club for a few reasons. The amount of coding language options was varied and appealed to the different learners in our club. It was also important for us to promote our club and let our community know about the presence of a coding club in our school, and Code Club helped us do so via their online presence.”
What makes Code Club special
For Tony, the secret ingredient behind his club’s success is simple: teamwork.
“Without teamwork, our club wouldn’t really be a club, it would simply be an ensemble of people coding in their own little cubicles, much like a stereotypical office job, and to me, that does not sound too enjoyable. Teamwork is our little secret ingredient in problem-solving and building motivation, we embrace it by creating a safe space where everyone can speak their minds without judgement!”
Members are free to choose their own learning paths. No matter the project, the atmosphere is always filled with laughter, energy, and curiosity.
“Coding should be something that is fun — not stressful like others may make it seem. Celebrating achievements, making short term goals, and problem solving with friends are all great ways that we make coding fun in our club. A second word would be teamwork. Without teamwork, our club wouldn’t really be a club.”
Teamwork, he adds, transforms what could be a solitary activity into something social and deeply motivating.
Looking to the future
Tony hopes the club will continue to grow, bringing more students into the world of coding and helping them feel at home in it. His story is a great reminder that learning to code isn’t just about computers — it’s about building community, confidence, and creativity.
“I wanted to create a space where everyone would be accepted and encouraged to learn more about coding and not be ashamed to ‘nerd out’ about this subject like I do very frequently. I’ve dreamed of creating a space that embraces this beautiful passion.”

We love hearing from members of the community and sharing stories of amazing young people, volunteers, and educators who are using their passion for technology to create positive change in the world around them.
It’s especially inspiring to hear about young people who are not only passionate about technology, but who are also driven to share that passion with others. Meet Matthew, a 15-year-old creator and youth mentor at Code Club, who builds his own projects and inspires peers by organising hackathons.
Matthew and his team at Cool as Hack at the RPF offices
Matthew’s early experience with coding
Matthew’s journey into the world of coding began at a young age. His initial exposure was through Scratch at school in Singapore. From there, he began exploring self-learn platforms in his own time, getting to grips with HTML and basic web development.
His enthusiasm for creating led him to participate in a technology week in Year 6, where he took on a BBC micro:bit challenge. He dedicated his summer holiday to developing a token system that encouraged community recycling, using an ultrasonic sensor to award points for good behaviour. This early project showcased his knack for problem-solving and innovation.
What truly captivated Matthew was the possibility of combining the logical challenges of competitive programming with the joy of project creation.
Matthew with his device developed in Year 6 to promote recycling behaviour in his residential community
Connecting with the community
Through Youthhacks, an initiative he co-founded to support teenage hackathon organisers, Matthew aims to expand access to hackathons across the UK (a hackathon is an event where individuals or teams work intensively over a relatively short time period to build software, hardware, or other kinds of technology). Matthew wants to offer advice and support, making it easier for young people to run their own hackathons. He puts a lot of time into ensuring that the content and atmosphere truly resonate with the participants.
“So, we made Youthhacks basically as an idea to be able to support these teenage organisers, you know, like hackathons for teenagers by teenagers.”
Matthew’s connection with the Raspberry Pi Foundation came from his keen interest in the hackathon community and a need for a local venue. Having previously toured the Foundation’s offices for a school robotics club, he decided to reach out when organising a satellite hackathon called Counterspell.
This initial collaboration led to further events at the Foundation, including Scrapyard Cambridge and, more recently, Cool as Hack.
Coolest Projects hackathon: A new approach to collaborative coding
Cool as Hack was Matthew’s third event held at the Raspberry Pi Foundation offices. Unlike traditional hackathons with intense time pressure, this event, inspired by the spirit of Coolest Projects, aimed to be more relaxed and collaborative.
“For this, people could bring in their own project scraps and then they could put it together with a team, finalise it, and then enter it to Coolest Projects.”
The focus was on showcasing creativity and sharing projects globally, rather than competitive prizes. Everyone then entered their creations into the Coolest Projects online showcase.

Cool as Hack was a huge success. The atmosphere was incredible — there was even a karaoke session and a “swag shop” where participants could exchange tokens earned for innovative ideas or project milestones. This token system, designed by Matthew and harking back to his own recycling project from years ago, created a fun and engaging reward system.
Inspiring the next generation
Matthew’s drive to organise these events and encourage other young people to code stems from his enjoyment of project creation and the community aspect of hackathons.
“Well, I suppose it links back to me enjoying making projects and when you attend a hackathon, it’s not a competition really. It’s more of a social event. So, you’re making a project and then you’re meeting quite a lot of coders, or even artists and musicians, and so many other people.”

Now a regular volunteer at the Raspberry Pi Foundation’s monthly Code Club in Cambridge, Matthew remains focused on encouraging others into tech. For aspiring young coders, he says that coding is far more diverse and creative than many might initially perceive, encompassing art, storytelling, and problem-solving. Matthew’s advice is simple:
“Enjoy the process and as you learn new things you’ll realise that all of this is like super interesting, and that there are so many ways to make what you want. Just enjoy it and continue meeting new people and, yeah, be creative.”
Matthew’s journey shows how an intro to computing at a young age can lead to an incredible amount of impact. With his continued dedication, he’s sure to inspire many more young minds to start on their own coding adventures.

Find out how to master the game through arguments.
Seven playable characters with unique ability cards and combinations.
Be Kind. Be Clever. Be Radical.
I started making KreatureKind because I wanted to tell a different kind of story – one where kindness prevails, and where changing the world means not only rolling up your sleeves but also opening your heart.
In a world that sometimes feels too loud and too cynical, I hope KreatureKind offers a space to slow down and play with purpose. The game offers an optimistic outlook on activism, sustainability and building a better future together, as well as provides you with a toolbox for how to approach people with which you disagree.
There’s definitely a challenge to be found in the game – plenty of tough choices, synergies to discover, and high-stakes showdowns. But underneath it all is a message I believe in: Kindness is powerful. And sometimes, it’s radical.
Emotional, Rational, or Factual
To maximize your success in KreatureKind, you first need to understand how the HP bars differ slightly from those in other games you may have played.
Since KreatureKind is about debates rather than physical fighting, HP stands for Hypothesis Points. The bars are divided into segments, individually called Hypotheses, which come in three colors – pink for emotional, green for rational, and blue for factual. They represent what is stopping the character from agreeing with and joining your cause. Pink means that they are currently vulnerable to emotional arguments. They are also resistant to factual arguments for the time being, and rational arguments made by the characters have increased effectiveness (it’s their current Focus). Think of it as a rock-paper-scissors situation.
Keep an eye on your own current Focus, and which type of argument your opponents are Vulnerable and Resistant to. It’s important to plan the order of the cards you play, because their effect normally doesn’t pass over between hypotheses. In the example below, Riley is trying to convince her brother Ricky that she has to leave their home town in an effort to save magic. You can finish the encounter in two rounds, but you have to play your cards in a specific order. (Please note that this is early in the game, before Resistance and Focus have been introduced. The card order is scripted in this encounter, to introduce the mechanics in a controlled way.)
On your first round, you are given the choice between a defensive healing card and three offensive ones – one green and two blue. Since Ricky’s current hypothesis is blue, the two blue cards are most effective against him. Saving the green card for last will take 3 HP off the next hypothesis rather than two.
Next, while still in a green hypothesis, starting with the green card and using the pink and blue ones after that will bring down the rest of Ricky’s HP to 0. Starting with a blue or pink card, on the other hand, will leave one HP in the segment and forgo part of the following card’s effect.
The goal is to always give you interesting choices – even with simple cards. Should you receive a hand that isn’t particularly useful in the current situation, you still need to consider if you want to play them anyway. Discarding playable cards decreases that character’s Attention, meaning opponents are less likely to target them. Great in some situations, less desirable in others.
Ability Cards – the Core of Each Activist
Each of the seven playable characters in KreatureKind has a unique balance of offensive and defensive argument cards. Offensive ones affect opponents’ HP, and defensive ones may return HP to your own characters, or add Block or Prep. Block shields incoming effects, and Prep deals removed HP right back to the casting opponent.
Argument cards are not the only types of cards in KreatureKind, however. What truly makes each playable character unique is their set of yellow Ability cards.
In the screenshot above, Luca’s two Ability cards use “Curse” cards (in keeping with his love of pranks). If you go all-in on this tactic, you can all but make the opponents work for you. The other characters take on roles akin to a tank, healer, a DPS character, etc. Most of their Ability cards are cast just like any other, and their unique effect is clear on the card.
Other Ability cards have 1-3 Slots on them, which can be filled by other cards. Typically, the card’s effect will be boosted based on how many slots you fill. In the example above, the selected card goes from a single-target to effectively becoming an AOE, depending on how many other cards you use. In some cases, the sacrifice may seem far too great, as the effect may not be enough to justify. However, the same card can be invaluable during another turn. Choose wisely!
A World Worth Saving (and Hanging Out In)
Beyond the cards and the tactics, KreatureKind is an optimistic game about activism and good vibes.
Along with an amazing cast of freelancers, I have filled the game with vibrant, hand-drawn art, a flow-inducing lofi soundtrack, and a cast of lovable weirdos who bring the world to life. You’ll meet cryptids, mythological creatures and barely copyright-dodging fantasy monsters, as well as a few good old dorky humans. They all belong to one of the seven magical factions (who cast spells through the means of for example cooking, programming and dancing), and each gives you a unique dialogue before and after the encounter.
Oh, and some drink Human energy drinks. Because they are monsters.
Play KreatureKind on Xbox
Whether you’re a card game veteran or just here for the vibes, we hope you find a faction you love, a monster you want to hug, and maybe even a cause worth fighting for – with words.
Magic is disappearing forever, unless your brave group of activists can save it! After centuries of increasing magic use, the world’s mana well is running dry. If entirely depleted, magic will be gone forever. This does not go unnoticed by Riley and her friends Mitra and Yui. They set out from their hometown, trying to convince people and monsters to use mana more consciously. Along the way, they meet and team up with other like-minded people. Who could resist Tau the cook’s warm hugs, Quinn’s epic role-playing sessions, or Finley’s thought-provoking games? Perhaps they will even befriend the world famous rockstar Luca! Each of the activists contribute to the cause with their unique sets of debate skills, which they hone along the way. Easy to learn, hard to master
KreatureKind offers unique gameplay, which is approachable to beginners while still giving seasoned players a proper challenge. If you're new to this kind of game, you'll figure it out. Played every card battler on the market? These monsters will still give you a run for your money! Discover, unlock, upgrade
Supercharge the seven playable characters by unlocking and upgrading cards! The mysterious former activist’s shop may just have the card you need to succeed. For a permanent boost to your team member’s debate skills, plushies give you the edge that will tip the scales in your favour. Go on campaign
Win the game by convincing KreatureKind’s seven magical factions to join your cause! Enjoy exploring vibrant villages, forests, and cities filled with troubled creatures and charming NPCs. Debate your way through the randomly generated maps and persuade each of the faction leaders to support you.
How Dying Light: The Beast Combines Open World and Survival Horror To Maximize Player Freedom
Tymon Smektała, Dying Light Franchise Director
Summary
Dying Light: The Beast launches August 22 on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox on PC. Dying Light hero Kyle Crane returns – but not as you previously knew him. A culmination of more than 10 years’ experience in open world survival horror, Dying Light: The Beast aims to deliver.
Summer Game Fest earlier this month was an absolute whirlwind, and I’m still buzzing from the incredible energy we felt in Los Angeles where more than 100 journalists and content creators got their hands on the very first Dying Light: The Beastgameplay demo. The cheers when they beat the giant Behemoth, the screams when they walked into a jump scare in the dark, and the joy when they ripped heads right off of zombie shoulders – it’s music to my ears!
We’ve shown a glimpse of what’s coming: a raw, brutal return to the roots of what makes Dying Light so special, but with a monstrous twist. And this experience was not just available to the few lucky people at Play Days, but to everyone who enjoys the thrill of an open world survival horror action game!
The Return of a Hero, Reimagined
Yes, you saw correctly. Kyle Crane – the legendary hero of the original Dying Light – is back. But he’s different from the Kyle you remember. He’s been through unspeakable horrors. Years of painful genetic experiments at the hands of the Baron have changed who he is – what he is. He now carries both human and infected DNA, a furious inner conflict that fuels his new abilities but also brings him to the brink of humanity.
We’ve designed Dying Light: The Beast to let you truly feel that struggle. One moment, you’re the agile survivor, relying on parkour and precision. The next, you’re unleashing raw, beast-like power, tearing enemies apart with primal brutality. In the beginning of Dying Light: The Beast you won’t have full control over your powers but once you do, it’s pushing the brutality of our combat system beyond anything you’ve experienced before.
This visceral brutality was among the best received elements from people who played the game. Whether they were expertly chaining parkour into a dropkick that sent an infected flying, or one-handedly crushing the skulls of an enemy with brute force – the reactions were priceless. We constantly heard shouts of “Oh, hell yeah!” and naughty chuckles as players pulled off those over-the-top, bone-crunching finishers.
Fear the Nights!
One of the most vocal pieces of feedback we received from Dying Light 2: Stay Human was about the night. Many players told us, quite rightly, that we had perhaps made it a little too accessible. We heard you loud and clear. With The Beast, we are taking the night back to its terrifying glory. For me, one of the most terrifying sounds in the demo was when Kyle’s wristwatch beeps and marks the end of a day. That “golden hour” moment when the sun dips below the horizon – that’s when the world completely transforms.
With the environment in Castor Woods so dramatically changed, the night offers a completely different challenge. The sense of dread, the urgency, the feeling that every shadow hides a new horror… it’s all dialed up to eleven. When you turn off the flashlight in the woods, it’s truly pitch black and leaves you easily disoriented. Surrounded by our apex predators – the Volatiles – every shadow makes you question “was it just a bush or one of them?” We even play with that primal fear systematically: Don’t be surprised if we spawn a zombie right behind the tree you just checked a few moments ago…
Your Open World Playground
The mission that is shown in the gameplay demo is a great example of how any given day in the decaying, post-apocalyptic world of Castor Woods might look like: You start in the parkour-paradise that the old town offers you, climb and jump the rooftops, loot through the beautiful, hand-crafted interiors. Then you find yourself in the middle of a forest at night, fight off biters to secure a safe house, solve parkour puzzles to get to places that otherwise would be hidden, and plow through hordes of zombies in a 4×4 truck.
But Dying Light: The Beast is a true open world game at heart. And that means not everyone sticks to the same path. We saw some truly hilarious and ingenious approaches during Play Days. Roughly a third of all players just bailed the basement after putting the fuse back in – refusing to fight the horde we deliberately put there so they learn about their Beast-like powers.
Two separate journalists were so obsessed with dropkicks that they ignored most of the other combat options. I swear, they tried to kick every single enemy off a rooftop! We practically had to hold them down and beg them to finish at least one of Baron’s soldiers the traditional way to loot a rifle for the boss fight at the end!
Another was so fascinated by the firecracker decoys that he decided to lure a horde of biters to the encounter with the soldiers. Instead of getting his own hands dirty, he watched from a far how zombies and human NPCs fought it out – and just sneaked past the chaos.
This is what Dying Light is all about for us: player freedom. We set the stage, we provide the tools, but how you navigate that world, how you approach its challenges, is entirely up to you and sometimes your creativity even surprises the people who make the game.
For us, Dying Light: The Beast is the most important game we’ve ever made. It’s a culmination of more than 10 years of experience in the open world survival horror genre – the best Dying Light game so far. But it’s not just for players who know the other games of the series. The nature of Kyle’s story is the perfect entry point to the franchise – after more than a decade in captivity, the world is as new to him as it is to newcomers.
See you in Castor Woods when Dying Light: The Beast launches on August 22, 2025 on PC and Xbox Series X|S. And good luck. You’re going to need it!

A unique blend of open world and action survival horror, Dying Light: The Beast is set in the beautiful, yet dangerous valley of Castor Woods that’s now overrun with zombies rather than tourists. To take your former captor down, you’ll need to form fragile alliances, as well as utilize all the combat and traversal options in your arsenal. Druidsrepresent a fascinating blend of feral instincts, nature-based magic, and stoic survivalism. Let’s dive into the evolution of this iconic playable class.
Origins of the Druid
In Diablo lore, the Druids are a reserved and reflective people, deeply connected to nature and its primal forces. Though they share a historical link with the Barbarians, Druids follow their own path. Where Barbarians celebrate raw, unshackled might, Druids harness nature’s power with precision and balance. Picture them as the calm before the storm—until they morph into a bear and decimate their foes, that is.
The Druid design pulls heavily from European (Celtic and German) myths and folklore, particularly the idea of shamans and natural spellcasters who draw power from the earth. However, the Diablo universe evolves these archetypes into something uniquely suited to its grim world, drawing a look and feel from the raw, primal essence of Sanctuary’s harsh wilderness, blending ferocity and mysticism in equal measure.
The Druid’s Skill Set
The Druid class skill kit offers a mix of nature-based elemental magic, shapeshifting abilities, and summoning loyal animal companions to aid in battle. Here’s what makes them a force to be reckoned with:
Elemental Magic
Druids wield the raw power of nature through earth-shattering spells, crackling lightning attacks, and poison damage. These abilities represent the destructive beauty of natural forces.
Summoning Companions
Choose from loyal wolves, towering bears, or ravenous vines, depending on the playstyle you favor. Your summons not only fight at your side but can be pivotal for drawing aggro or dealing critical damage.
Shapeshifting
Need even more power? Transform into a hulking Werebear for devastating melee attacks or a nimble Werewolf for swift strikes. This dynamic shapeshifting adds a visceral touch and lets you unleash your unique adventuring style.
The Druid’s Evolution
The Druid class has come a long way since its Diablo II debut. Each iteration refines the fantasy, addressing gameplay mechanics while holding onto the Druid’s core identity.
The Druid made an unforgettable debut, combining shapeshifting abilities with elemental magic to create a class deeply attuned to the forces of nature. Players could transform into a ferocious werewolf or a sturdy werebear, each offering unique tactical advantages that catered to different playstyles.
Elemental abilities provided additional versatility, allowing Druids to unleash the devastating power of storms and flames. Armed with primal weapons like axes, clubs, and special polearms, the Druid’s combat style resonated with its connection to the natural world.
Narratively, the Druid stood apart from other classes, with their isolation adding an air of mystique to enhance their lore.
The Druid emerges as a class rich with dynamic possibilities. Earth and storm spells now deliver visually striking abilities, including summoning earthquakes to disrupt foes or unleashing lightning storms for devastating long-range attacks. Players can seamlessly transition between human, werewolf, and werebear forms during combat, and for further customization, specific items enable them to adopt their preferred form as a default, opening hybrid strategies like a resilient, earth-powered werebear or an agile, storm-infused werewolf.
Adding to the versatility, Totems return as specialized off-hand items, enriching the Druid’s arsenal with tailored bonuses that complement their iconic staves, axes, and clubs. These tools allow for builds that ensure a personalized experience. The Druid’s lore gains depth in their role as guardians of the wild and their command over nature’s elements.
The Druid’s entry as the 9th playable class channels an untamed, primal energy, embracing a neolithic essence that stands apart even from the Scosglen Druids of Diablo IV. This version is wild and reckless, wielding the raw forces of nature with ferocity rather than control. Characterized as a hermit with a quirky and enigmatic personality, the Sharval Druid thrives in isolation, adding an unpredictable melee/summoner hybrid charm to the battlefield.
With Wild Magic at their command, their focused skillset and adaptability make them a versatile and fearsome force, while their eccentric, hermitic persona brings an air of mystique to the fast-paced mobile world of Diablo Immortal. Whether shaping the battlefield with elemental fury or summoning swarms of loyal creatures, this Druid iteration offers a uniquely feral experience.
Join the Pack
Balancing nostalgia with innovation, the Druid has maintained its identity while adapting its skills to fit the evolving mechanics of the Diablo universe.
The Druid’s fantasy is timeless. Whether you’re commanding the forces of nature, shapeshifting into feral beasts, or summoning animal allies, the class provides an immersive and customizable experience. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of smashing your enemies as a Werebear, followed by unleashing a storm of ravens to clear the battlefield. It’s gameplay that walks the line between serenity and ferocity.

Jeff HuMarketing Manager, Bad Guitar Studio
Summary
Introducing FragPunk Season 2: Rising Tempest, a transformative update surging into the free-to-play 5v5 hero shooter today.
Season 2 includes a new Lancer, Hurricane, new maps, new Shard Cards, game mode and gameplay updates, and more.
Stay tuned for this summer’s FragPunk Music Festival!
Season 2 of FragPunk, Rising Tempest, is available now – and it’s going to transform how you play. A brand new Lancer, Hurricane, will join the Lancer team alongside two new maps, Itzamna and Xibalba, which will provide players with unique gameplay experiences and tactical depth.
FragPunk’s Shard Card system remains a core feature, and the design of the Season 2 cards will not only introduce new and interesting options for you to play with, but will also further optimize the card update mechanism. The card pool will now be updated every two weeks, increasing the probability of new cards appearing.
Furthermore, in terms of gameplay, the rotating arcade mode will be updated to a selectable arcade mode – freely queue for any mode without rotation restrictions! And as if that wasn’t enough we’ll also see the grand opening of the FragPunk Music Festival this summer! Find out more by reading on.
New Lancer: Meet Hurricane
In Season 2, get ready to welcome a brand-new lancer – Hurricane. Hailing from the Arctic Fragment, he loves adventure. After saving an Arctic bear research team in distress during a storm, using equipment he crafted with his own hands, he became a Lancer to save more people.
With a robust physique, his first skill is a Tornado used to split the battlefield, while his second skill, Lightning Orb, explodes upon collision, blinding enemies. His third skill allows Hurricane to enhance himself with electric charge, granting him extra speed and increasing the damage taken by nearby enemies. Just imagine the sheer intimidation of a massive Arctic bear charging out of the smoke.
Hurricane’s Tornado skill
His powerful rushing ability also pairs perfectly with other Lancers, such as performing a rapid dual advance with Corona, or executing a smoke-and-flash rush with Axon.
More Cards, More Fun
In Season 2, FragPunk brings even more fun and exciting cards, coming to both Shard Clash and Outbreak Mode. We also now we have themed card pools: Shard Clash and Outbreak will both see the debut of groups of cards with mode-specific abilities.
Let’s look at some of your new options. The Kindred Spirits card makes allies and enemies of the same color unable to attack one another! No melee combat – but hey, you can still slap a same-color enemy if you want!
Kindred Spirits
Love showing off your sharpshooting skills under the spotlight but tired of waiting for a final-round tiebreaker? Rigged Duels will help your dream come true. Challenge an enemy to a 1v1 with your teammates cheering you on—victory is guaranteed!
Rigged Duels
And the heavyweight champion of rule-breaking: Converter Thievery! Are you on defense, gotten stuck with a dropped bomb and been forced to guard it? Why not just pick it up, plant it yourself, and then defuse it? Completely shatter the bomb-defusal meta!
Meanwhile, our new cards will updated every 2 weeks with temporary drop-rate increases, meaning the pool will always be changing.
Choose Your Favorite Modes
The Arcade Modes in FragPunk offer a rich variety of options, but every player has their personal favorites. To give everyone more freedom in their gameplay experience, the existing rotation system will be replaced with free access to all modes.
Additionally, Chaos Duel Mode will now be permanently available, alongside the return of Mirror Duel Mode, further enriching the Arcade Mode lineup. With so many gameplay options to choose from, there’s something for everyone! In the near future, even more fun and exciting casual modes will be added – we hope every player can find their own comfort zone!
Mayan & Greek Mythology Maps: Itzamna & Xibalba
Itzamna is a map inspired by the Mayan civilization – but unlike the typical Mayan aesthetic, this one is set in a skyport, a brand new Shard Clash arena. The map features interactive ziplines, allowing Lancers to adopt different strategies and expand their tactical options. Get creative! But watch your step—it’s a long way down…
Itzamna
Meanwhile, Xibalba is a fresh addition to the Outbreak map pool. Compared to previous Outbreak maps, it offers higher connectivity, encouraging players to experience not just classic holdout battles but also thrilling chases and escapes. And stay tuned – more Outbreak maps are coming soon!
Xibalba

Welcome to Carnevale – Little Nightmares III Gets to the Meat of the Matter
Coralie FenielloProducer, Little Nightmares III
Well hello there, little one. Welcome back to the world of Little Nightmares. If you haven’t been here before, please allow us to introduce you.
Little Nightmares is a charming horror video game series that has been terrifying Visitors since 2017. In each game, a child protagonist must make their way through a different part of the Nowhere, a twisted reflection of the real world based on the darkest, ugliest human desires and impulses. It is a place inhabited by grotesque Residents – children do not belong there.
Under these hostile conditions, our little protagonists must solve puzzles to open tiny paths through the world, hide from monstrous adults who will destroy them on sight, and resist smaller threats who stand in their way.
In the upcoming Little Nightmares III, we’ll be following the story of Low and Alone, two kids who have been stuck in the Nowhere for a long time. They are trapped in an area known as the Spiral, traveling through mirrors in search of what Low believes is a way out of the Nowhere, back to a world where they’ll finally be free from this endless nightmare.
One area they’ll be exploring is the mysterious and unpleasant Carnevale, which we’re revealing for the first time today.
This frightful funfair is packed with attractions manned by child-sized Puppets, wooden creatures with a life of their own, unattached to visible strings or manipulative hands. Don’t try to get friendly with these marionette mascots, though. They are only interested in catering to the Herd, and they will happily tear up your tickets if you get too close.
Speaking of the Herd, these thundering fellows are the Puppets’ focus. The Herd trundles endlessly through the Carnevale, plodding from stall to stall in search of distraction and entertainment while chowing down on candy and stale popcorn. They may even become the entertainment from time to time, as the Puppets don’t much care about the wellbeing of their customers, only that they are kept busy. When someone goes missing, few would care to notice.
As Low and Alone navigate this rainy boardwalk, they’ll have to stay out of sight as much as they can; the Herd is always looking for a new bit of fun to snatch up and gobble down. Even if they try to hide under the floorboards, they might not always be safe! And should they run into Puppets, they’ll need to work together using Low’s bow and Alone’s wrench to knock their block off before they can pounce.
With all of the activity going on in this grim circus, it seems like there must be a ringmaster somewhere, but who? When Low and Alone sneak on to a rickety rollercoaster, it may take them somewhere closer to the answer to that question or, better still, their next mirror…
Find out what happens next by playing with a friend using online co-op or solo with an AI companion when Little Nightmares III launches October 10 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One and Xbox on PC as an Xbox Play Anywhere title. See you then, little ones.
Embark on a new adventure in the unique world of Little Nightmares. In Little Nightmares III, you follow the journey of Low & Alone, as they search for a path that could lead them out of the Nowhere. Trapped within the Spiral, a cluster of disturbing places, the two friends will have to work together to survive in a dangerous world full of delusions and escape the grasp of an even greater threat lurking in the shadows. For the first time in the franchise, face your childhood fears together with a friend in online co-op, or in solo with an AI companion.
Cowabunga! Essential Tips for TMNT: Splintered Fate
Daniel Stansens, Lead Game Designer
The Heroes in a Half Shell have arrived on Xbox—and they’re ready to kick shell! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fatebrings fast-paced, roguelike action to your console, featuring chaotic co-op gameplay, powerful power-ups, and a cast of iconic characters. Whether you’re jumping in solo or teaming up with friends, we’ve put together some tips to help you get the most out of your first runs and beyond.
From character selection to upgrade strategies, here’s everything you need to know to start strong in the streets (and sewers) of New York City.
One of the best parts of Splintered Fate is its cast of playable characters. Each Turtle—and Casey Jones—brings their own combat style and strategic advantages to the fight. Not sure who to pick first? Here’s a quick breakdown:
Leonardo: The oldest brother and Leader of the Turtles. Leo is a balanced fighter with fast, reliable attacks and a focus on getting into and out of combat swiftly. Great for beginners.
Raphael: A hot head with a fiery temper. Raph is a heavy hitter who shines in one-on-one combat. His abilities pair well with critical damage upgrades.
Michelangelo: The soul of the gang that keeps them going through the toughest of times. Mikey is a crowd-control specialist. His fast nunchuck attacks and AoE damage work great with status effects like Ooze.
Donatello: The brains of the team. Donny is the toughest Turtle in the team and excels at manipulating the battlefield through the use of tools.
Casey Jones: The newest addition, Casey’s puck attack is the first true ranged attack in the game. He’s a brute of a fighter with a powerful melee combo and the ability to pick off groups of enemies at a distance with his hockey puck.
Each character has powerful synergies depending on your chosen upgrades—don’t be afraid to experiment!
Story Mode: Kick Back and Enjoy the Ride
Not every player is here for high-stakes roguelike chaos. If you’re looking for a more relaxed experience, Story Mode is a great way to enjoy Splintered Fate‘s narrative at your own pace. With reduced difficulty, it’s perfect for soaking in the atmosphere—or playing alongside younger fans.
Dash Like Your Life Depends on It (Because It Does)
One of the earliest game-changers you’ll unlock is the Dragon Coin Station, where you can invest the Dragon Coins you’ve collected to gain permanent upgrades. We strongly recommend prioritizing getting that first extra dash.
Dash is your best friend in Splintered Fate—it lets you avoid damage, reposition quickly, and escape danger. Upgrading your dash ability early will help you survive longer, especially in tougher rooms or boss encounters.
Upgrade Smart: Damage, Health, and… Pizza?
When it comes to Dragon upgrades, damage and health boosts are always solid picks. But don’t sleep on other options! Abilities like “Slice of Life” can be a game-saver, especially when you’re deep into a run and low on health having an enemy drop a slice of health boosting pizza is delicious!
Look out for upgrades that complement your chosen Turtle’s strengths. As you progress through the game upgrades can be unlocked that boost each Turtles area of focus. If you’re new to the game, consider picking passives that boost survivability early on and add complexity as you gain confidence.
Master the Power Combos
Each run offers you new Turtle powers—some of which can evolve into legendary powers if combined correctly. Pay close attention to the synergy between the turtle powers, Fire, Water, Ooze, Utrom, Ninja and Astral.
Here’s a hint: stacking turtle powers of the same element will unlock more powerful abilities but the most powerful abilities require combining two elements, like Fire and Water. You never know when your next reward could turn a good run into a legendary one.
Boost Your Build: Tools, Inspirations and Masteries
Beyond the Turtle powers, you’ll find tools (active abilities), inspirations (passive character buffs), and character-specific masteries. Here’s how to get the most out of them:
Tools are great for controlling the flow of battle but take a while to charge back up—use them strategically.
Inspirations are unique to each Turtle, each starting every run with their two inspirations defining their unique play style. Sometimes though you can be rewarded with the inspiration of another turtle, leading to game changing builds.
Masteries can be found during runs and boost the playstyle of your chosen Turtle. Many masteries are unique to each turtle and can change up how they are played.
Don’t Ignore Artifacts
Artifacts are powerful items that can give you major advantages during your run but you need to earn them. Some grant passive bonuses, while others trigger effects in battle. Unlocking and equipping them can make a huge difference, especially in later levels or co-op play.
You’ll earn artifacts as you progress through the game. Keep them in your sight—they’re worth the effort.
Shell Up and Dive In
Whether you’re a TMNT superfan or a newcomer to the franchise, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate offers something for everyone: deep progression, tight combat, couch co-op, and nostalgic charm. With these tips in your arsenal, you’ll be ready to face whatever Shredder throws your way.
So, grab your favorite Turtle (or Casey), power up, and jump into the action. New York City isn’t going to save itself! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Splintered Fate is available today on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One.

Xbox Insiders – Aggregated Gaming Library is Coming to the Xbox PC app
Manisha Oza, Product Manager, Xbox Platform
Hey Xbox Insiders, starting this week users enrolled in the PC Gaming Preview can get a first look at the new aggregated gaming library in the Xbox PC app for Windows 11 PCs and handheld devices. The feature will be available this holiday on the ROG Xbox Ally and ROG Xbox Ally X, where players will see their aggregated gaming library within the new Xbox full screen experience. With this new feature, your Xbox library, hundreds of Game Pass titles (membership required), and all your installed games from other PC game stores are always at your fingertips.
An Aggregated Gaming Library to Launch Your Games
With the aggregated gaming library, players can conveniently launch games from Xbox, Game Pass, Battle.net and other leading PC storefronts from a single library within the Xbox PC app. Whether you’re on a Windows PC or a handheld device, your Xbox library, hundreds of Game Pass titles, and all your installed games from leading PC storefronts will now be at your fingertips.
When a player installs a game from a supported PC storefront, it will automatically appear in “My library” within the Xbox PC app, as well as the “Most recent” list of titles in the sidebar—making it easier than ever to jump back into your games.
And this is just the beginning. We’ll continue rolling out support for additional PC storefronts over time.
How to Get Started
As long as you have game titles installed from supported PC stores, you should see them listed in both My Library as well as the Most Recent section. If you’d prefer not to see those titles listed you can select your profile picture, then select Settings, then Library & Extensions and you will see the available storefronts, then select “Hide” for each storefront and those titles will no longer appear.

Bounty Star is a Cozy, Post-Apocalyptic Mech Brawler Brimming with Charm
As I drifted my large Desert Raptor MKII mech through an expansive desert canyon, crowded full of rocket-wielding hover bots and gun-toting bandits, I got the sense that Bounty Star might be onto something special here. My mech, assembled from a variety of parts looking like it was built in someone’s garage (because it was), dispatched these challenging foes with a variety of heavy melee attacks and cannon fire. It took me a few tries to come out on top, but as I neared the end of my brief hands-on time, Bounty Star left me eager to come back to its world later this year when it launches for Xbox Series X|S.
In Bounty Star you play as Clem, a talented fighter and mech pilot who is managing some personal trauma as a war veteran looking to make up for some of her past actions – and hopefully become a force of good. Her adventure takes place in an area known as the Red Expanse, reminiscent of what can best be described as a post-apocalyptic American Southwest.
“I was in Sedona, Arizona, surrounded by landscapes much like those in the game, and I couldn’t help but think how perfect they would be for an immersive action game setting,” explains Creative Director & Designer Benjamin Ruiz. “The desire to create something visually stunning and set in a beautiful desert was really the spark for Bounty Star. Everything started to fall into place from there. I began outlining the concept that very morning, inspired by those breathtaking views. That was about five years ago. It took a year or two before production officially began, but the idea was simmering for a while before we really got started.”
Ruiz explained to me that he always dreamed of creating a Western, and Bounty Star is very much rooted in that genre, but blending a lighter take on the Armored Core style of mech gameplay that his creative team loves.
“We really wanted to focus on the everyday life of a bounty hunter,” Ruiz adds. “There’s a base-building aspect where you’re preparing food, managing resources like clean water, and even raising chickens — really digging into the experience of survival in the desert. We aimed to find an exciting intersection between these elements: the fun of a Western, the detailed life of a bounty hunter, and the thrill of piloting a mech in the open desert. That’s how Bounty Star came together.”
As I explored Clem’s run-down garage that serves as her base of operations and home, with power lines strewn about, a make-shift kitchen in the corner to cook food (which can give her stat bonuses in combat), and barrels full of munitions hiding in plain sight, the world of Bounty Star is blending some of my favorite things about what it would be like to live out this life in a sci-fi Western, giving me strong “Firefly” and “Serenity” vibes where you don’t have much, but what you do have you can call home; it has potential.
Customization is one of the other key elements of Bounty Star and from what I could tell it seemed open-ended enough where I could either play with any type of mech that I wanted to assemble, provided I had the resources to put it all together. Ruiz reinforced that assumption for me.
“There are a couple of different approaches you can take,” Ruiz elaborates. “You’re always going to need both a melee weapon and a firearm, but you can lean into one or the other, depending on your preferred play style. For instance, some players might focus on heavy armor and charge straight into combat, becoming a slow but nearly unstoppable force. Others might prefer lighter builds, prioritizing speed and agility over sheer toughness.”
As Ruiz explained to me further, the customization system lets you tweak around seven core properties and choose from a variety of firearms, melee weapons, and support systems. He mentioned that even some of the QA testers were creating builds that would skip healing altogether, blasting through encounters at high speed. So, it seems you’ll have plenty of flexibility to create unique mech builds and experiment with different combat strategies when going up against a variety of enemies.
Enemies are not the only thing you’ll encounter in Bounty Star. There will also be a handful of key NPCs you’ll interact with. One of them is the Marshall, who’s not only responsible for assigning your bounties but also happens to be an old friend. There’s also a merchant who offers you some of the best gear available in the game, operating on the shadier side of things and brings a different energy compared to the Marshall according to Ruiz. He mentioned that overall, while the cast of other characters isn’t huge, the ones you meet are designed to have meaningful and memorable interactions with you in the game.
And one cannot be a bounty hunter without some bounties, and it sounds like there’s going to be a wide variety of mission designs to keep you engaged. Bounties generally work the same way throughout the game according to Ruiz. With Bounty Star running on a day-night cycle, there will be days where you’ll find story bounties on the board, alongside a couple of side bounties. Each one of these will send you to a specific part of the world, which will be distinct combat arenas of various shapes and sizes.
“Sometimes your goal is to capture a particular target because they’re a wanted criminal; other times, you’re tasked with clearing out all adversaries in the area,” Ruiz adds. “Some bounties require you to be more careful and apprehend someone, while others are straightforward combat challenges. There are also optional objectives for players who enjoy replayability, such as completing a bounty within a certain time or using a specific loadout. Ultimately, Bounty Star is very much a third-person arena experience, but we’re focused on providing a variety of ways for players to have fun and approach each mission uniquely.”
Much like Clem’s makeshift home, Bounty Star seems full of potential, and we’re looking forward to seeing how it all comes together later this year when it launches on Xbox Series X|S.

What Would Flynn Do? Making Disney’s Tron: Catalyst the Right Way
Mike Bithell Creative Director, Tron: Catalyst
Disney’s ‘Tron’ is a movie steeped in the history and culture of video games. It is, and I say this without hyperbole, a film as important to arcade culture of the ’80s as any game was. It set a tone, it created or popularized a lot of computer terminology, and it gave us the first pop culture image of a game designer: Kevin Flynn.
Kevin Flynn was cool. Kevin Flynn made badass games and fought the man to maintain his rights to them (seriously, more of that film than you remember is concerned with copyright and IP ownership). He annihilated games in the arcade in front of throngs of fans – oh, and he owned the arcade in which he did so. He was an icon. And I wanted so very much to be him when I grew up.
I’ve had thirty-nine years on this earth. I’ve played games, and I’ve made games. For macroeconomic reasons I do not own an arcade, but I did get to build an amazing team of creatives and work with them to bring you Disney’s Tron: Catalyst, which was released on Xbox this week.
Tron: Catalyst is a celebration of the Tron franchise, but even more than that, it is a celebration of games. One mantra was repeated more than any other on the team: “This is a world created by a game designer”. We let that north star guide us to Vertical Slice, a city with game design built into its very source code.
I don’t want to give away all the game’s secrets, but an early one is the glitch loop. You’ll get caught in, and control, a time loop. Doing so lets you relive the events you’ve encountered, making changes, finding new paths and messing with the rules. It’s like playing a game where god mode is the default. Because of course it is, this is a world created by a game designer.
We also have some fun with your expectations of a game set in the world of these beloved films. You won’t make it out of this game without being sent on an escort mission or engaging in a little out-of-nowhere stealth. I grew up playing that magical subset of licensed games which used the verbs and settings of film worlds to create truly original and interesting games. I wanted this game to have perfect Light Cycle control, I wanted it to give me full access to Disc-based combat, and yes, I wanted to kick that Disc out of the air and back at enemies whenever it made strategic sense (and often when it didn’t).
Tron: Catalyst also tells a new story. If you’re a fan of Tron: Identity and the Tron films, you’re going to find a lot of familiar threads and themes weaved in and expanded on. If you’re new to the Arq Grid, then we’ve built the game to immerse you in the rich culture and politics which define it. A handy codex lets you research any topic that comes up too. What does a society of AI programs left to their own devices for thousands of cycles evolve into? And what do they think of us? As Flynn would say, “Bio-digital jazz, man.”
I hope you dig our game. I’ve been designing it in my head since the 1980s, and I’ve been building the team to make it since the 2010s. We’ve worked hard, alongside our friends at Disney and Pixar Games and Big Fan Games, to craft a compelling, engaging game which immerses you into a neon world like no other. I hope you enjoy its stories, its characters, and its opportunities for Light Cycle combat. I can say with absolute certainty that we made the game we wanted to.
TRON: Catalyst pulls you back into the world of Disney’s TRON to battle multiple opposing factions in the latest imaginative story from Bithell Games (Thomas Was Alone, Subsurface Circular, TRON: Identity). TRON: Catalyst is an all-new story-driven, isometric action adventure game, set in the immersive and diverse locations of the Arq Grid introduced in TRON: Identity. Play as Exo, a highly resilient and resourceful program wielding an unexpected power known as the Glitch, gaining strength and abilities which the overlords of the Arq Grid’s crumbling society seek to bring under control. Ride Light Cycles, engage in Identity Disc combat, and more as you’re relentlessly pursued through the city and beyond by Conn, a malevolent program with an agenda of his own, while uncovering more about the glitches that threaten the stability of this world. FEATURES Dynamic Combat System
Battle a legion of fearsome enemy programs in melee and ranged combat, both on-foot and while riding a Light Cycle. Master advanced techniques like parrying and Disc kicks to gain the upper hand, while exploring the Arq Grid and collecting Data Shards to upgrade your code base with new abilities. Immersive New Story Dive into an original TRON storyline. Meet the programs of the Arq Grid, uncover their secrets and fight to survive in a chase across the city and outlands. Playing as Exo, a courier working in this grid’s capital city, your life is turned upside down when a mysterious package explodes, granting you powers beyond any program’s normal function. With the Arq Grid’s ruthless ‘peacekeepers’ in hot pursuit, you’ll unlock the mysteries of this grid, and learn what kind of hero it needs you to become. Exploit The Glitch
The Arq Grid is losing stability. Glitches roll back the clock, catching the world in a series of system level time loops… and only you can see them. Utilize Exo’s unique ability to uncover secret areas and shortcuts, and influence the factions jostling for control over the Arq Grid. Authentic World of TRON
Explore the neon-lit streets of the Arq Grid on foot or Light Cycle, and navigate your way through the intriguing – often dangerous – characters that inhabit this high-stakes world. Travel through a diverse Grid filled with intriguing stories within a budding revolution all set to an immersive soundtrack from composer Dan Le Sac (TRON: Identity). If you’re a fan of Disney’s TRON, get ready to step into the universe you love like never before. If you’re new to this story, prepare for a thrilling adventure. Now… Finish the Game."
Raidou Reborn: How Atlus’ Newest Detective RPG Is So Much More than a Remaster
Michael CervenSenior Communications Manager, Atlus
Get ready to solve a mystery set in the Taisho era in Atlus’ supernatural action-RPG, Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army, which is available starting today on Xbox Series X|S.
Raidou Remastered marks the first time Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. The Soulless Army can be played on modern consoles. This fan-favorite Shin Megami Tensei spin-off combines action-packed gameplay with detective drama – and, as a standalone story, it’s the perfect game for new and returning Raidou and Shin Megami Tensei fans.
Raidou Remastered is a faithful recreation of the iconic 2006 RPG, but with additional bells and whistles afforded by modern technology, such as an overhauled battle system, enhanced graphics and full VO in the main story. While it’s technically a remaster, you’ll find we have so much more in store than your traditional touch-ups. Want to learn more about all the enhancements and quality of life updates you’ll find in this next-level remaster? This is the place for you!
Overhauled Battle System
Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. The Soulless Army was a unique entry in the Shin Megami Tensei series not only because of its mystery-driven narrative, but because it is a fast-paced, action-RPG. I know, quite a departure from the original Shin Megami Tensei combat style. Raidou Remastered takes the original game’s distinctive real-time action combat and evolves it with features from the game’s sequel, King Abaddon, as well as a host of new combat elements unique to this game.
Character progression is the key to success in Raidou Remastered. You can learn two types of Summoner Skills from your weapons – Combat Skills and Sword Skills. These skills take effect automatically when equipped and will give you a host of abilities and buffs. These skills can provide brand new, powerful attacks, increase your stats, and more. The difference between a student and a master detective is one who mixes and matches skills based on enemy weaknesses.
Raidou Remastered shifts the battlefield from 2D fixed camera angles to a 3D arena where you can move, dodge, and jump, adding a whole new level of strategy to combat. You’ll also now have two allies to battle by your side, with over 120 different new and returning demons to choose from. Quick side note: demons will not only fight by your side, but also help you crack the case as you investigate, so make sure you utilize your demons out in the world to find clues, eavesdrop, and more. Additionally, to save you the time and effort, if you are overleveled for particular demon battles, you will auto-defeat your enemies. Talk about efficiency!
Enhanced Graphics & Full Voice Over
If you played the original, you’ll quickly notice that the character models and 3D environments have been enhanced quite a bit. These adjustments add new detail and vibrance to the already gorgeous artwork, while still retaining the spirit of the original game. You’ll also notice the game’s user interface has received some much-needed streamlining, allowing you to summon, strike and search with ease.
One of the most exciting evolutions from the original game is that Raidou Remastered has full voice acting! This key update adds to the game’s drama and intrigue, making it so you can better immerse yourself in the story and world of Raidou Kuzunoha. You can also switch between English and Japanese voice over at your leisure. We recommend trying both – each cast is incredible! The voice cast features some familiar names, so keep an ear out and see if you recognize anyone.
… And More!
