I was in the Technical Alpha. Do I get in the Closed Beta?
As a token of our gratitude for your endless support throughout the
technical alpha, all alpha players are granted access to the closed beta. If
you participated in the technical alpha via Windows 10 PC or Xbox
One, the same Xbox Live account which had access to
the technical alpha will now be able to download and install
the Bleeding Edge closed beta. If you participated in the technical
alpha via Steam, the Bleeding Edge closed beta Steam keys will be sent
to you via email.
We’ve added a huge number of improvements and optimizations to Bleeding
Edge, including the addition of AI in the Dojo, so thank you again for the
feedback from all of you!
What New Stuff is Coming to the Beta?
We’re adding a new parry mechanic! Parry is an advanced combat
technique that allows fighters to break enemy combos and create an opening to
deliver a follow-up attack. You can learn parry and other combat techniques in
our new Advanced Controls tutorial!
We have also added multiple emotes for each character and a host
of new hoverboards, paint jobs, stickers and trails for you to further customize
your rollouts and victory celebrations.
We have a second closed beta coming up on Friday, March 13, so if
you miss out on our February beta you can still pre-order now or play with Xbox
Game Pass to participate.
We are looking forward to seeing players old and new alike experiment
with team comps, tactics, mod builds, hoverboard styles, and above all smash it
up with their teammates in pure combat carnage.
To get involved in our closed beta, pre-order from BleedingEdge.com or play with Xbox Game Pass. Join the community to get a team together, and follow us on social for the latest and greatest from the devs!
