So we finished our Project fully completed, and manged to Install a Raspberry Pi with Official RetroPie Image with EmulationStationV2, and managed to tweak the Config Files for Full Steam Game Streaming Support and XBMC!!
This Tutorial needs the First Tutorial fully completed!
Preparation for ‚STEAM / Nvidia GeForce Experience‘ Game Streaming:
- Make sure you have the newest DisplayDrivers and GeForce Experience installed!
- STEAM needs also to be Up to Date, check everything.
- Check LimeLight PI Repisority for the actuall Version https://github.com/irtimmer/limelight-pi/releases
- Under Nvidia GeForce Experience Settings/MyRig/Enable Nvidia GameStream!
So now we can Start with the Installation:
Install Oracle Java 8 & Opus Audio Codec:
sudo apt-get install oracle-java8-jdk libopus0
Download newest LimeLight Pi Jar from previously Checked Repisority:
Now You need to Pair your Computer with your RetroPie:
java -jar limelight-pi.jar -pair IP (Replace IP, with your Computers IP Adress) You Can Download the Complete Files for this Step at the Bottom
Connect with your Computer to Stream your Steam Games:
java -jar limelight-pi.jar -720 -30fps IP You Can Download the Complete Files for this Step at the Bottom
Preparation for XBMC Installation:
Edit the Package List Repesorities:
sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list.d/mene.list
deb http://archive.mene.za.net/raspbian wheezy contrib
Exit Editor and Save File ( Hit Enter Two Times)
Get Singing Key for File:
sudo apt-key adv –keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com –recv-key 5243CDED
Update Repisorities List:
sudo apt-get update
Install XMBC Media Center:
sudo apt-get install xbmc
If everythings done right you can Start XMBC with ’sudo xmbc‘
Install all New Apps to EmulationStationV2 Menu:
Enter Roms Folder:
Make New Directory:
Download our es_systems.cfg File from here!
and copy it to ~/.emulationstation/es_systems.cfg
Add Shortcut to Folder Apps:
nano ~/RetroPie/roms/apps/APPNAME.sh (replace APPNAME with the name of your app)
In This File Type:
nano (Replace nano, with your command: sudo startx, sudo xmbc, etc..)
Save Your Shortcut File!
Restart your RaspberryPie and you should have your new Shortcuts in the Main Menu!
You can also enter the Raspbian OS from the EmulationStation Menu!
